Just finished watching Chouriki Sentai Ohranger. Great from start to finish, with a very likeable cast. There were even scenes, that made me feel for the antagonists. Even goofiness can be cool, Gunmajin is the perfect example, he is awesome. I felt like bringing world peace to the world.
rest of this month starting this week I'm going to be busy watching Smallville Seasons 5 and 6 for DVD along with watching/skimming through episodes of Season 5 of Virgin River on Netflix. that and get around to catching up on Fear the Walking Dead Season 7 and 8 for DVD and Titans Seasons 3 and 4 for DVD
The final episode of Inside No 9 wrapped up tonight and I am a completely broken man. You're definitely going to need to watch every episode beforehand (I know that sounds odd but trust me, it makes sense I swear) but god just an absolutely phenomenal send-off to the best TV series I have ever watched and likely will ever watch 🥹

@Fizza I thought it was an amusing enough episode but there must have been a lot of references I missed given that I haven't seen most of the rest of the show. Will have to rewatch whenever I get around to watching the whole show!
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
Some recent TV shows I've been watching, both being cartoons, Polly Pocket on Netflix, and Snorks on DVD.
Polly Pocket surprises me, honestly pretty good show. Based off the toy line of the same name, it's about Polly receiving a special locket from her grandma, that can make her shrink down to four inches tall. Because of the power of the locket, Griselle, someone who was Polly's grandma's rival, wants the locket in order to shrink down the town and become its ruler, and Polly has to keep it from getting into Griselle's hands. Polly is also a kid genius who invents stuff, and has two friends Lila a fashionista, and Shani, a sci-fi nerd. All three characters are great, and go on adventures that help others and saves the day. This show surprised me, and loving it so far.
Snorks is an old favorite of mine, I use to get up at the crack of dawn just to watch this one early on Cartoon Network, back when they showed the Hanna-Barbera back catalog. So glad the DVD sets exist, Warner Bros put it out as part of their Archive Collection. Revisiting these episodes brought back fond memories, it's great seeing Allstar, Casey, and the rest of the Snorks again.

Please watch Daffy in Wackyland. It came out a few days ago and so far, it's one of the greatest pieces of art ever to come out in the 2020's and that's not hyperbole. The whole thing is a stop-motion feast for the eyes that fires on all cylinders, capturing the irreverent spirit of classic Looney Tunes without being limited by the style of those cartoons specifically. A great successor/homage to the Bob Clampett classic.
@N00BiSH Thanks for the recommendation, I found it on YouTube (not an official upload, so anyone else who wants to see it that way should probably do so quickly in case it gets taken down - it's only a 7-minute short) and it's absolutely mental, which is a good thing in my book

Andor (Disney+) - I took a few years off from streaming any of the Star Wars shows (& streaming anything, TBH) after getting burned out after watching a bunch of them (and a couple of the latter ones, like Obi-Wan & Boba Fett, started feeling a bit cheesy), but man what a show to come back to! It definitely could be a bit slow at times, but the world building was immaculate & what action it did have was exciting. It's perhaps the closest any of these Disney SW shows have come to achieving the feel of "prestige TV", and I look forward to seeing what they do next now that he's in the rebellion proper.
Ranma 1/2 (Blu-Ray) - Been collecting (& watching through) this since the spring, and I'm finally down to the last OVA episode. It's been really fun revisiting this one & I must have dropped it when I watched it online as a kid as I swear I've never seen the later episodes (past episode 70 or 80 I'd guess), so it's been a real treat. They pretty much stop introducing new recurring characters maybe 60 or so episodes in, but the cast is so fun I never really got bored.
Shogun (Disney+) - Heard a lot of good things about this one, and it was pretty excellent. One of those shows where you get really attached to some of the characters & it's pretty gutting (no pun intended) when they kill them off. Kinda disappointed that we never got to the big war, and it looks like it may be delayed further if not entirely avoided based on some late show manoeuvering, but I'm definitely interested in seeing where it goes from here.
Those About to Die (Peacock) - Didn't finish. Really only subscribed for the month to catch some Olympics stuff & decided to check this out on the side because I like sword & sandal stuff. Definitely a 6/10 type show at most, and though I was enjoying it well enough because I enjoy some gratuitous gore & nudity as much as the next dude, I wasn't going to resub for another month just to finish the last few episodes.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
@FishyS, I'm sure I'll watch it eventually, but I'm not in any hurry (both because I just spent the last several months watching through the OG, and partly because I watch so much anime on Blu-Ray I like doing something a little different when I stream a show).
Animation does look slick, but I will admit I prefer the visual design of the OG's 90's style (I think the remake's designs are probably closer to the manga which I'm sure will be a treat for purists, but TBH I prefer how Nabiki & Genma look in the OG).
I'm just streaming shows currently. Here are examples of shows I'm binge watching:
Kevin Can Wait. I like how Kevin James (Kevin Gable in the show) was as funny as his role as Doug Heffernan on King Of Queens. Gary Valentine too, but he was Kevin's brother Kyle. All and all, Kevin delivered the laughter. (No pun intended.)
HouseBroken. Honey the poodle led the group anonymous. Two more things: Shel was too old, and Chief was veeery ecstatic.
Glenn Martin DDS. With the stupid Winnebago after Glenn sizzled down the home. I'm still waiting for the moment where Connor gets "blinded".
So there you have it! I'm still streaming shows currently, but those are the only ones I remember.
Are there any TV shows that you loved, but revisited after say, 5-10 years or more, and then just not got on with at all to the point it was unwatchable or you just hated it?
I have watched a few favourites last seen 10-15 years ago in recent times.
Things that held up and I still loved - Everybody Hates Chris, My Name is Earl, American Dad. Rewatched all (available) seasons.
Things that I once loved but now think are awful Roswell, Scrubs + Cougar Town (same creator, interestingly). Couldn't do more than a few episodes.
In a way it makes sense that humour would change from early 20's to mid 30s, but also interesting that some things were funnier and could appreciate even more.
Recently started watching Monster High, the Nickelodeon cartoon series. So far the show's good. Tells the story about a human named Clawdeen, who has a strong interest with monsters. For her 15th birthday, her father gives her a special necklace called the moonclaw necklace, something that belong to her now missing mother. The necklace led her to a school just for monsters (actual spoiler) she eventually learned that she was a werewolf, can turn into one, making her part monster and enrolling with the school. She also makes friends with Draculaura and Frankie Stein, they pretty much go on different adventures each episode, and there's a story arc about Clawdeen trying to find her mother, which I'm hoping she does find.
So far, a good show, glad I gave it a chance. It's filled to the brim with monster puns too. Not bad to enjoy my October with.

It is Halloween today, the perfect day to start a new Super Sentai season. I will start watching Gekisou Sentai Carranger. The text on the back of the dvd case says it is a fan-favourite, so I am very much looking forward to watching it.
I watched Netflix's Wham! Last Christmas Unwrapped. It was an interesting look at the making of Wham's Last Christmas song and video. It was pretty entertaining. Although the last 15+ minutes seemed like extra filler. But the first 40 min is interesting. https://www.netflix.com/title/81989822/
Today I watched Castlevania Nocturne Season 2 and I was a little disappointed.
Aside from amazing battle scenes everything else was boring! I mean really boring. Specially the Anette stuff. That "3rd soul" thing could've been completely removed from the story.
They need to move to another timeline. Castlevania SotN season will NOT happen for sure.
Move forward to 1999 Castle War IF they can get the budget.
