I'm hoping Zelda Wii U does away with wiimote controlls and goes the route of the Wii U gamepad, has the mature tone of Twilight Princess, the city of OoT with it's day/night diffrences and many things to do, a ton of side quests, more Zelda and Link romance, make Zelda more involved with the story and present (I mean actually there with Link and not always somewhere else like in most Zelda games), and for the dialouge choices in Syward Sword to be further explored.

Or you could just play Mass Effect for like half of that.
It has gotten to this point, where you know what Nintendo is going to give us -_-
I have a feeling that the Next Zelda is gonna be done in 2.5D, and will be called "New Legend of Zelda"

Zelda has always been known to have the worst music in videogame history

I had A Link to the Past as a kid, but I never really got invested in it (and for some reason, I never thought to light the lamps in the desert dungeon, in the room before the boss), and I went for years not following or caring about Zelda.
Then, when I first saw footage of Twilight Princess, I became unexpectedly enthusiastic for the game. I got a GameCube for my birthday in early '07, and borrowed the game from my friend (who got it for his birthday the next week). It quickly became one of my favorite games of all time, and to this day is my favorite in the series.
After I was done with TP, I dug out my SNES & finally played through ALttP. In 2009 when I got my DS Lite, I played Phantom Hourglass, and eventually got Spirit Tracks & Minish Cap as well. On 3DS, I've played Link's Awakening DX, Ocarina of Time 3D, Legend of Zelda, Four Swords Anniversary, and Minish Cap (replay).
The only two I have, but haven't beat are Majora's Mask (my friend gave me his old copy, but it glitches to much for me to beat it), and Zelda II (have it on 3DS, but haven't really gotten to it yet).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

As of now, the only Zelda games I don't own are Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, Four Swords Adventures, and The Minish Cap. Although I do plan on getting the Oracle duo whenever it's finally time to release them on the 3DS Virtual Console.
Backloggery. Now playing: 3D Dot Game Heroes, Donkey Kong, EarthBound Beginnings, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, and Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+.
Not sure how many here are fans of Roahm Mythril but he recently did a minimalist run of The Legend of Zelda on his You Tube channel. I have to say I never thought of doing one but it was entertaining to see someone do it.
RetiredPush Square Moderator and all around retro gamer.
I've been tempted to do a minimalist/3-heart/no-death/speed/etc. run of Majora's Mask for a while now (partly because I know every nook and cranny of it at this point), but that kind of thing would take out an enormous portion of why I enjoy that particular game so much. I just love exploring Termina and trying to fix the problems of its people so much that I know I'd quickly get distracted from my purpose and just 100% it again.
Maybe I'll try one with Ocarina of Time, the next time I re-play it.
EDIT: On a completely different note, does anyone else forget to acquire the Silver Arrows before you fight Ganon in ALttP? I do. Every. Single. Time.
Anyway, I suppose this thread is about as good a place as any to post the news from earlier this month that Zelda Reorchestrated will be shutting down after nearly 9 years of existence. ZREO will stay up until June 12th, so if you want to download any of their music, you'll have until then. I didn't like all of their arrangements (though I loved some of them - especially their ominous take on Clock Town - Day 3), but I always appreciated their ambition and their love for the series & its music. The Twilight Symphony has been uploaded onto YouTube, and is available to download somewhere in the dark bowels of the internet. It may be the last thing they ever did, but from the little of it I've listened to so far, it's also their best work.
Spirit Tracks had good bosses, decent temples, and, unfortunately, a terrible overworld. The train was slow, dull, and restricting. At least with sailing, which I actually liked, afforded you more freedom.
Also, the warps were difficult to remember if I recall correctly and the bunny mini-game....sigh
@Jaz007: I'd prefer the option to use motion controls or traditional controls making everyone happy. Only difficult part is the angle specific weak spots Skyward enemies had.
@Electricmastro : Good luck with that last boss in Wario Land : Shake it!
