Topic: Zelda General Discussion

I'm honestly quite surprised that there was never a general discussion about this series that is still active. Well since it's the 27th anniversary at the time of this thread's creation, we might as well start in the beginning.

Zelda is a pretty cool guy.

Nah man, Metroid is the coolest dude on the block.

Love the series, maybe even more than the Mario franchise. So far, I've thoroughly played through 8 if the 16 mainstream titles.

At the moment, I'm currently playing through Zelda II on my 3DS. I've gotten the candle and am proceeding to my second dungeon.

I've beaten Zelda II on my 3DS, but not the first. I can't find that blasted Red Ring in Spectacle Rock. >:[

Zelda II was a pretty decent game, but you know what was even awesomer?

One of the best Zelda games are on even on a Nintendo console.

the Zelda series will bloom and soar once it hits Sony systems, come now look where it came from and where it could go this could this be real one day, if so it'll finally be done right and has all that it finally deserved.

Okay got to be honest here. I started the Zelda Series with Ocarina of Time 3D on 3DS. I always thought that Link was Just the green guy from Smash. Then the Drought came after launch with no good games released. So when June came I decided to get Ocarina of time 3d. I Loved it. I spent hours on the game. It was so fun. After that i was craving more Zelda. So i went with Phantom Hourglass and it was awesome as well. Then I got Skyward Sword on release and it is now one of the best games i have ever played. Then I got 4 swords 25th anniversary and it was fun playing with cousins and my brother. later on i got Twilight Princess which i have not beaten yet. I love the series now. And i plan on getting Wind Waker HD on Wii U. If it wasnt for the drought of 3ds games i might of never gotten into this series. Fan since 2011

HA! Just "that green guy". I played Ocarina of time and the 3DS version alot too. He was pretty popular even before Smash Bros. came, though I wouldn't advise anyone to play Brawl before Ocarina of Time for spoiler reasons. Such quality games overall.

Yup, this was my first Zelda game.

Me too, man. Me too. That was my favorite Zelda game and would've been beautiful in HD. Though I'm still picking up Wind Waker HD.

Peronally I feel Majora's Mask is the most overrated Zelda game, but I know plenty of people will disagree with me there. I just don't enjoy the three-day time mechanic as much and I also prefer the more colorful and happier tones in Zelda games like Wind Waker or Skyward Sword.
