I never “get” Minecraft. All my younger siblings loved it, especially my younger bro who was really into it and played it across most platforms just like you. But it came kinda late into my life, I felt was I growing out of “kids media”, even if it technically didn’t fall into one.
Yeah it’s great pride month exists. I’m a little shy about congratulating my longtime friends who identify outside the spectrum but I always appreciate it when people congratulate me haha. It’s wholesome.
SNES? Better be the good stuff! Like Super Castlevania IV, that’s how you become one of the cool ones! Jokes aside, enjoy.
I know the reply wasn’t directed at me but I’m a silly chatty extrovert I suppose x33
@OctolingKing13 I tend to listen to a lot of Vocaloid artists. You know Hatsune Miku? She’s a Vocaloid, and its a type of vocal synthesizer software used by artists to sing songs they make, and there are similar synthesizer softwares used too.
The artist I tend to listen to are Vocaloid artists. Some that I listen to include Sasuke Haraguchi, who uses a voicebank named Kasane Teto in most songs he made, and my favorite tracks from him are HITO Mania, hontono, and Medicine. Another one of my most listened to Vocaloid artists is MARETU, and I love how his songs sound, but a lot of what is songs are about are sad, disturbing, and concerning, and there have been at least two times where his songs have freaked me out, so I am trying to listen to him a bit less since they remind me of bad stuff that goes on in the world, though a lot of his works are sometimes hard to decipher with its lyrics. The ones I like the most are Born before,IYAIYAYO,Last day,Miseenen,Magical Doctor, and Pink, mostly because a lot of these are vague, though the first one is depressing and somewhat existential and I am not a fan of how the last song implies violence in its lyrics. Magical Doctor is a very loud song with harsh sounds and its music video has flashing lights, so if you are going to listen to it, I’d recommend having the volume on low and not watching the music video since it could trigger epilepsy. There was this song called Binomi he made that has really, REALLY gross and graphic lyrics I would recommend not searching up, because it freaked me out from how descriptive the lyrics were and is really sickening. Ironically, he said the song was supposed to be happy, though it is moreso in a twisted way. His most popular song is called Mind brand, but dear gosh, what its about is really disturbing and sad…I wouldn’t recommend him to everyone because of how dark and concerning his songs tend to be and they can be very creepy and ruin someone’s mood if they were to look up English lyrics for them.
For more upbeat Vocaloid artists, I love PinocchioP, namigroove, A4, and KurageP’s songs, as they are less negative and more catchy and silly. Mitchie M is the king of positive Vocaloid songs, and I really like Freely Tomorrow,Ai Dee, and News 39 from him. I also love Kyoufuu All Back by Yukiopi for its funny and silly tone and the recorder that is used throughout the song.
For non-Vocaloid J-pop songs, I have been listening to Hai Yorokonde by Kocchi no Kento and it’s so catchy! I like Flamingo and Shinigami by Kenshi Yonezu, Odo by Ado, Easy Breezy by chelmico, Doggy’s god street by Inugami Korone, Daten by Creepy Nuts, Tablet,Heart and funny by TOOBOE, LONELY LONELY,Lost in Paradise,Teenager City Riot, and Wild Side by ALI. I have way more, but it’s getting lengthy already lol.
If you are wondering about other artists I like that aren’t Japanese or don’t make J-pop and just VGM, I really like Grant Kirkhope’s music in the Banjo-Kazooie games as well as Robin Beanland’s work on Conker’s Bad Fur Day, specifically the tracks Windy and Co.,Rock Solid, and Enter the Vertex, though that game is very weird and can be outdated, too full of graphic violence and is crass with its humor. I also love the soundtracks to Splatoon as well! I played them a ton years before I played the two aforementioned games and still find them to be amazing games.
And unrelated, but my sister also listens to Mitski and Chappell Roan and really likes both of their music too! I think you both have very similar music tastes.
@Yousef- i think minecraft is basically a comfort game for a lot of gen z and alpha like me honestly, thats why were so obsessed with it 🤠🤠
ive never played any castlevania ! is there any on switch online and if so where should i start :3 @Pastellioli i have a lot of friends who are really into vocaloid ! i havent listened to much of it tho, except for some hatsune miku, which is pretty good ! ill try some of the upbeat songs you recommended, cause i really need some upbeat music in my life :3 thanks for all the recommendations btw !!

@OctolingKing13 You are welcome! I think you will really like Mitchie M’s music a lot.
For Splatoon, I really like Anarchy Rainbow,Nasty Majesty,Broken Coral,Bomb Rush Blush,Entropical,Riptide Rupture, and Calamari Inkantation, which is a classic. I have memories of listening to a remix version by another artist that used a Vocaloid named GUMI in it. I don’t have a lot of Splatoon 3 songs listed since I haven’t played it in a while, though a lot of these are from the second game since I played the HECK out of it. It’s a shame I missed out a ton on the third game since I didn’t have the Switch with my account on it for a while.
EDIT: I should have added Ageage Again by Mitchie M, Zunda Party Night by namigroove and PoPiPo by LamazeP and Teto Territory in the positive and upbeat song recommendations! Those are really fun songs too, and the latter two are classics and are very iconic.
I love smartphones! I use mine for recording my crafting videos and the quality is so much better than most web cams. I use it for work authentication, home surveillance when I am out and online shopping. Even most of my replies here are made from my phone
Good afternoon (or goodnight!). Bored again, but listening to a new Japanese song on repeat and gonna make some fanart of characters that I’ve wanted to draw for a while. Was going to game later on my Xbox, but there is apparently an outage that isn’t letting people log into their accounts and access games. Don’t know when that outage will get resolved. I honestly think it’s awful when everything can only be accessed and played with an online connection, even when the game in question is offline.

If you’re curious, the character in my PFP is Flippy from Happy Tree Friends.
So since it was my day off today I thought I'd do a bit of gaming today. Turned on my Series X only to discover there is an outage going on currently. So I guess that mean I will be catching up on TV shows for now. Found out there's a new season of That 90's Show up on Netflix so I figure I'd start with that.

@OctolingKing13 castlevania collection exists on switch. It’s got all the classics. Go in release order but they’re not necessarily connected to each other so skipping one or two entries is fine.
Minecraft is something I’ve delved into at least when it was new, but I didn’t have a lot of money back in 2011-ish so I got the mobile version demo which was pretty garbage before all the updates. Trust me, if you play the earliest unmodified version of the iOS Minecraft, you are going to suffer. Or not.
Bizarrely enough, I’ve actually did dip my feet into Minecraft clones! Forager comes to mind. It’s on all platforms you can imagine so you can’t miss it. The story around its dev is incredibly sweet. I’ve not only beat forager but I’ve 100%ed it too and poured around 89 hours in it. Not sure if that’s a lot by the standards of the Minecraft-like games although I do wish my phone would stop replacing “Minecraft” with “Mincemeat”. That’s really annoying.
My favorite thing about the soundtrack (and honestly the game as a whole) is how it sells you on the feel that you really are on your own. When you discover a boss, it’s a huge “oh snap!” moment for sure.
OMG. Lost my TV remote and it's driving me nuts. I retraced my steps looked under the furniture nothing. Now I have a tv that I can't turn off, adjust the volume or even change the channel. If I can't find it by Saturday I guess I will be going tv shopping.

@WaveBoy As long as I can't get a replacement remote. My OCD won't allow me to get a universal remote if that makes sense at all. I did universal remote in the past and yeah it just bugs the hell out of me. I would sooner get a new tv then a universal remote.

Hello again! Almost night where I am, so good night or good morning wherever you live! Hope you have been up to fun stuff. I’ll just be talking about random things and going on a dumb rant.
There is this rhythm game I play that added a new song today and I tried to full combo, but the annoying song chart had extremely bad tap registration even when I tapped on the screen, so I kept trying to restart the song until I got it but I never did, so I quit out of the game before I got even more angry. Rhythm games are fun, but this one in particular is only fun if you know how to successfully play it, and it gets super annoying if you play it on a higher difficulty and faster speed. I actually prefer to play the game that way and have gotten used to it, but I think either my skills are deteriorating, or the fast speed is making it hard for the game to register the taps I make on the screen, or a combination of both, but even on slow speed the taps sometimes don’t register either.
I was thinking about drawing after my failed gaming session, but it’s too late for me to be doing that, plus I plan on using acrylic and some pens so that would not fit for a nighttime art session. I hate having to clean up huge art messes before bed haha, so I’ll just be watching my brother play Smash Ultimate with his friends until I fall asleep. I need to get back to playing that again soon, but I’m also trying to decide what game to play next on my Xbox since I haven’t touched it in a few days after completing the Perfect Dark prequel.

@Pastellioli top of the morning to ye old mate, although it is 11 am as of the time I typing this. Irregardless, best of mornings to you.
Are you ranting about Miku again? I’d like to know. Curious, curious.
I, too, am struggling to pick something to play again on the Green and White box. I’ve been really contemplating a simple casual speedy replay of GTA IV, or getting all achievements in Warriors Orochi 3. Whatever winds up fitting my fancy. I got a promotion today though so life is really good right now.
