@Anti-Matter that's very cool of you as a FF fan. I played FF5, FF7 and watched my roommate played FF8. Always love the story of these games. I also played DQ1,2,3 and 5 as well.
@Tyranexx Just wanted to say real quick that my computer is OK. Fortunately, it has not happened again, just that one time. But thanks for checking on me anyway.

Indeed. While online is great, it's just shopping in a Disney store felt like an experience than a store. The way the store looked, even the big screen playing trailers and clips (I think I once saw a clip of Sofia the First with Cinderella on that when I went). It was a unique store in terms of presentation.
Funnily enough, I'm the same way, I usually don't hunt achievements or really think of them. I was recently playing Halo: Master Chief Collection and I got three achievements without even trying. I just wanted to play some Halo, wasn't going for them. Then Steam notified me I unlocked an achievement while playing. I think the only game I ever got 100% achievements in was Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition on Steam.
Cool. I think Pokemon Stadium was best enjoyed when you had the transfer pack and a copy of the Game Boy games. The rental Pokemon made the games hard to play, really hard to play. That also would mean grinding on the Game Boy game. Pokemon Stadium was ruined for me, since someone stole my copy of Pokemon Yellow weeks before I got the game, and I had a level 100 Charizard on it I could have easily used in the game. As a result, couldn't enjoy Pokemon Stadium to the fullest as when I got another Pokemon Yellow, I had to play it all over again. Gurumin was pretty easy, I played on beginner as I never played it when I got it, and it still was a fun game overall.
That does sound like a weird time. Consoles sounded split too. Sounded like it did get better though, and you got a way to play GBA and GameCube. Yeah it was a clever ad that was put out. I can see that, cool your brother was into Pokemon. I do remember having a better time with Pokemon Stadium 2, I had my Pokemon from Pokemon Gold at least, though it didn't get played as much due to the Dreamcast.
@Tyranexx Ditto, I'm really sensitive to caffeine. So anything that has caffeine in it, like tea, I usually will have in the morning hours. It just keeps me up all night. Funny you mention shrimp, I'm actually making shrimp salad for my mom for lunch today. I do sometimes fry shrimp or chicken, but it's not often I do it. Last time I fried chicken was to make karaage. Though I rarely make it, it's more like a once in a while thing I do.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
My tamagotchi turned 15 days old, and it’s entered the dreaded final stage of its life. It’s super needy now, and it’ll only get worse from here until it passes away.
I wonder if I can make it reach 20 days old. It’s not a Mametchi (the longest-living species), so it might be unlikely.
Edit: oof it’s getting reaaaaally needy, I’ll be lucky if it survives a day or two more!
@Tyranexx As mentioned earlier, my PC's doing all right. Even as of this latest post of mine. Yeah I think Brawl's online was P2P. It was a pretty laggy mess too... the whole game would freeze if somebody's connection wasn't good enough. It would stop, go, stop, go... you get the idea. Same with the later Smash games, your mileage really does vary when you're playing online. I'm hoping that the next game's online will be an improvement. Oh gotcha, yeah I wasn't really sure of what powers that they have. I know even less about the games after Diamond and Pearl, lol. And yeah, not a fan of the screen flipping, lol. I think your controls reverse too.
Indeed, I think Kirby's Dream Land 1 is still worth playing. I like Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land the best as well, actually! I like that version of Kirby's Adventure more than the NES original, and even the 3D Classics version. That GBA remake was the first time I ever played the game... even though I didn't know it was a remake when I was a kid, lol. I thought it was a totally brand new game. That's awesome you've finished chapter 5... you're off to my favorite chapter in TTYD! Thanks for thinking of me when you got to that point! Be sure to give your thoughts on chapter 6... because I think you can. Gosh, that's nuts about the Dragon Quest game prices. Shifting gears just a little bit, I did hear that Dragon Quest V is supposed to be really good. I know Jon Cartwright talked about how it's one of his favorite games in one of his videos. Possibly on the Nintendo Life YouTube channel, he's on Good Vibes Gaming now.
That's cool, I have known quite a few people who do PC gaming as well. That's cool your brother plays Farming Simulator sometimes. Oh and actually, my brother has been into PC gaming for a long while now, and he's been into the more mature kind of games, too. He told me that Dark Souls 3 might be his favorite game period, as well. I remember Just Dance, my mom used to play the first one long ago! She loved Wii Fit Plus as well. I still remember in that game, when she would ride her bike, our cats would follow her sometimes. It was so cute. (There's a feature in Wii Fit Plus where you could make "mii versions" of dogs or cats.) That's a shame about your mom's knee, that must have hurt real bad. Gotcha, looks like your dad's kind of the opposite of mine, at least how my old man was in the 80s and 90s, lol. Though, my dad has always liked music and sports the best.
@Sunsy Oh I agree for sure, I do prefer being in a Disney store in real life over online. Loved how my Disney store looked. That's awesome, I do remember that Sofia the First is one of your favorites. She met Cinderella in that clip you've seen, huh? Shifting gears just a little bit, (gosh, I've said that twice in this post) Cinderella is a great movie! Mom and I have seen it on Valentine's Day last year. We have it on blu-ray, and we even still have our old VHS of it. I can show you, if you'd like. It's a cute movie as well... except for the stepmother, stepsisters, and their cat Lucifer, of course. "Poor Cinderelly... every time she finds a minute, that's the time when they begin it! 'Cinderelly, Cinderelly!'" "CINDERELLLLLLLLLLA!"
You and me both, lol! It's funny how you'd get those achievements even when you're just starting out. I should get back to Halo sometime... maybe after I beat Crash Bandicoot 4. Earlier I've been getting back to my Steam library with the latter. I don't think I ever got every achievement in any one game.
Yeah, playing with just the rental Pokemon wasn't great. At least for now, the NSO+EP versions of Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 don't have a way to connect to the Game Boy games, since those aren't on the Switch. The Stadium games look tedious to play through, too... I have zero interest in revisiting them as a result. The minigames were pretty all right though, but I'd rather stick with Mario Party for my minigame fix, lol. I'm way more into Mario than Pokemon. Ah, that sucks your copy of Pokemon Yellow got stolen! That level 100 Charizard could've definitely come in handy. That's cool, I'll probably play on beginner as well, since RPGs aren't really my forte.
It was a weird time for sure, lol... thank goodness Nintendo released those two systems the year I started being away from home. Good to hear that Pokemon Stadium 2 was better for you at least. Cool to see that the Dreamcast was your most played console that year. It's a console I wish I had during its heyday... considering it was Sega's last console before going third-party.

just when I was about to beat the final boss of FF16 the game released like 20 side quests for me to go finish cuz why not, I'm a sucker for getting those green markers off my map
@ThatWeirdGuy yeah no, it's login boxes are disabled for some reason. I go to inspect mode, re-enable them cause I am big brain (I remove 2 words from some lines of code) but then it tells me that I tried to log in too many times even though it's my first, soooooooo yeah.
As I said, laptop kicked the bucket so there's that
