@TeaCatherine I'm not offended, I just questioned my dumb posting style.

I just had my first crash with Windows 11. This is a good thing compared to Windows 10 that thing never stopped crashing.

@Kermit1 Glad Windows 11 works for you for the most part, it seems to love to glitch out on my computer...

OBJECTION! TAKE THAT!

Eagly

@Kermit1 I loved it and yeah taste the rainbow motherf had me dying laughing for a minute

My favorite party was getting to see team Peacmaker again that came out of nowhere and Just seeing John and Harcourt made me happy

Also try finding a normal person on this site

@Colonel_Mustache he wasn’t in Shazam 2. I got the news after getting out of the theater

@ComfyAko she ra right? Never watched the show I heard the final season wasn’t that great

of the catgirls in gaming I have experienced which is relegated to xenoblade I guess nia wins by default. I count gatcha games as games I just don’t play them

That makes sense not to go on a 10000 word paper mario rant but when a fanbase has been that alienated because of a single executives pettiness something is wrong. I just think it’s simple business you have a product people want it would be incredibly easy to release it digitally yet you don’t. Not to mention baffling decisions like mario 3D all stars which was only sold for a year. I don’t get it sometimes

At least for me personally I still enjoy a large variety of games released in the last 10 years or so. Most of my favorite franchises are B tier AA or indie titles such as Xenoblade, nier, Yakuza, fire emblem and hollow knight to name a few. I do enjoy AAA franchises though the affomentioned God of war, Doom reboot and dragon quest for instance. I do think companies were more experimental in the 2000’s though

I just try to remember the context behind it for instance gameplay wise a 20 year old game isn’t going to hold up as well as a modern entry. And while there are plenty of old classics I find myself not enjoying such as 64 there are games such as sunshine that I absolutely adore

Tropes just don’t work for some people. Personally I haven’t really experienced the child and guardian trope at all now that I think about it.

I was talking about undertale but yeah stardew also works that game is incredible I have wasted too much free time on it. The game is perfect and the only farming sim I’ve ever gotten into. The portraits eventually grew on me

I get what your saying the games that sell best are the casual stuff like Cod, pokemon and Fifa that people play the launch week and then once or twice a month. I have no problem with someone playing and loving those games but they aren’t for me. They aren’t what I want out of video games. I love complex systems and interactions. I also definitely think it’s cheaper to asset flip fifa vs ground up make masterpieces like xenoblade and I am really thankful companies for whatever reason still allow these franchises to be made

That’s the way I see it as something becomes more niche it becomes more special and unfortunately less profitable. To loop back to what I said earlier that’s why I like B grade games. Sure something like Yakuza dosen’t have the budget of assassins creed but what it does have is everything I could want out of a video game. Amazing story, great dialogue, lovable characters, some of the funniest scenes from any video game everyone and passable comat.

@TeaCatherine let me give you advice from someone who has completed the game on that difficulty

You if you do I wonder who shall slip into madness first. Me play FE3 hopes hardcore or you. Ashe died in my first mission and it’s probably downhill from there

@Eagly Okay oops, I saw an article about the guy who plays the Wizard in Shazam 2 and I guess my mind mixed them up somehow... Sorry about that!

OBJECTION! TAKE THAT!

@Eagly I'm gonna continue with vanilla new game BoC, I just got past the first Morag fight in chapter 2 and RNG hates me (okay, I know it's not actually RNG), basically I've got 3 rare blades so far; Godfrey, Electra and Finch. You see my problem?

Currently playing: Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, Xenoblade 3 (JP dub replay) , Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, River City Girls
I mess about with pfp backgrounds way too much, sorry.

I moved into my sisters old room and have now discovered how nice a big window can be. The fact it isn’t a mess also kinda helps.

In season six of Arrow, the best line in TV history was born. “ This doesn’t change anything, hoss.”

@JadeKitsune yeah bots exist in games, FPS too, but they are utterly useless, it's not giving your team a chance, it's more like masking the fact that someone disconnected.

I have a feeling that I have to take the whole team on myself and then if I kill half of the enemy team in a very rapid succession, maybe, just maybe, my team will do something. Sorry if that sounds toxic

@TeaCatherine Maffe is a Senegualian dish, something like a stew with meat, onion, peanut butter (yes you read that right) and tomato sauce. I didn't know how it would turn out but it's really good. I'm gonna improve it further by adding more ingredients and fine-tuning it but it was already good. But then again, everything I cook is worthy of a 5 star restaurant. Like, the whole building, not just being served there. Sorry if that sounds like boasting

@Eagly yeah, it's the character from She Ra, she singlehandedly carried the show. I wouldn't say that the last season was bad, season 2/3 were a tiny bit slow but I enjoyed the whole thing.

They must think their strategy is working or that people wouldn't buy their older product. I've heard once that it's pretty pricey to put any product on the market, even if you have the whole game, you need licence checks (music games never get remastered because of that), certifications, etc. Mario 3d was supposed to be something rare, I think.

Are the ones you mentioned really B tier AA? Xenoblade, Yakuza and Nier must have had an amazing budget. Hollow Knight could be done on a very small budget and is an indie, but it is still a gem. Doom 2016 was great, but Doom Eternal was a big step in a very wrong direction I think. Colorful ammo, glass cannon Doomguy, cheesy lines and self meming made this a displeasing experience for me. Also, I never got what people like about Dragon Quest. I have 7 and 8 and I don't know what is worse, the writing or the music (I can still remember the TERRIBLE trumpet kakophonie that was DQ8 overworld theme)

"I just try to remember the context behind it for instance gameplay wise a 20 year old game isn’t going to hold up as well as a modern entry." I would absolutely disagree here. 20 year old games are perfect in terms of controlling your character. Nowadays the animations need to be super smooth, so your character tends to do more and more by themselves and I feel more like holding up on controller and seeing the animations do everything (my experience with the terrible Uncharted 4, for example).

Undertale is really good, too. Honestly though, Deltarune is going to be even better, I think. It got me hooked, not gonna lie.
