@Anti-Matter I think you're either reading/focusing on the wrong parts of the comments or you're simply not used to constructive criticism, which is actually meant to help improve mutual communication. There's no hate, just maybe a bit of annoyance and/or some wondering about why you sometimes don't reply when people clearly address you.

The proper and decent thing to do, even if you don't agree, is to at least reply and let people know that you've read their comments. They take time to think about these comments and to type them, so the least you could do is reply. If you don't react or reply, then that means that people will have to make up reasons for you or to fill in the blanks/think of the reason why you wouldn't want to, which in most cases is to form an opinion that you apparently don't like or can't handle criticism, and as such you choose to stay silent or to sometimes even ignore people, where the better thing to do would be to speak for yourself, so that we can hear straight from you, instead of us having to make up some theory about why you haven't reacted.

Life isn't always nice, and people are sometimes critical of each other, and you really need to learn to be able to handle that without getting too sensitive about it, because 9 out of 10 times, people actually mean well by it, trying to get to know each other better and to point out things to improve communication.

Either way, no hate here, so sleep easy.

@ThanosReXXX
Good morning. 😀
I'm eating my breakfast right now before go to school.
Btw, sometimes i'm afraid to reply you as when i try to talk about my interest or explaining something, you might be turned off as you have very different interest.
Usually i replied back the users if we have engaged in conversations, but sometimes after i explained something, some of them just silence whether they were not interested to continue the conversation further or my interest are not something interesting for them and it just like disconnected to continue the conversations.

Oh, yesterday i was really sad when i got news from my friends about my favorite DDR machine DDR A20 got removed from my local game arcade due to a lot of reasons. I know in Surabaya my hometown, Surabaya peoples have less interest with DDR and old BEMANI games, very contrary with Bandung and Jakarta peoples that still have some hype about BEMANI games at Arcade. As years passed by, i have to ready to accept some unpleasant changes including the removal of my favorite things from my life. That's why i started to build my Arcade at home games from BEMANI PS2 + PS1 games, XBOX 360 Kinect games and some of Wii games.
Sorry for late reply.
I have to prepare my bag before go to school.

@Sunsy That's awesome to hear. I've looked at some reviews on YouTube (from guys like SomecallmeJohnny and AntDude) and yeah, it looks amazing. I'm happy to see there's a new Crash game that's more like the PS1 classics as well!

@Eel I like Picross quite a bit too, including the one on the SNES app. It's a nice game to chill out with.

Yup, it's a great game to have when you want to distract yourself for a little while. And that one has that retro charm to it, too.

Also, now that I remember, My Nintendo has the exclusive Twilight Princess Picross game. I wonder how long does that have until they decide to remove 3DS rewards entirely.

@Eel Psh. Who needs a score counter in Snake? It's fun enough just to see how long the creature can get before it crashes!

On the reply fiasco: That happens to me too on occasion. Not enough to trigger my OCD...yet.

@TheJGG I'm very glad I ate supper before reading about the burger stand. XD I love burgers, though I intentionally try to stick with one patty and only eat them as an occasional treat. That double jack slider sounds heavenly, but I'd probably be in the same shape as you after eating one. XD I'd want to hibernate for an hour or two.

Typically my patience relates to my mood and what I'm doing at the time. If I'm in a hurry, sleep-deprived, or REALLY don't want to be where I am, I certainly have less of it. For example, though it must be done, I have very little patience for shopping outside of a really cool game store or bookstore. I prefer to just get in, grab what I need, and get out. My sympathies on the pulled leg muscles; that is NOT fun. I sometimes do that while exercising or sometimes activate a Charlie Horse when I'm half-asleep.

Grandma will still do a bit of local running. However, legally and preferentially speaking, she won't be going long distance anytime soon. Partially due to the fact that she can't stand to be in a vehicle very long anymore. Even the smoothest ride seems to cause her some discomfort. We used to take her to a restaurant she enjoys on Mother's Day every year that's about half an hour away, but she asked not to go a couple years ago due to the trip length.

The teenage stroke survivor was involved in a severe car accident; he wasn't impaired in any way, he was on his way to school and was pulled by some loose rock into the guardrail of a small bridge. I'll spare you the finer points, but he sustained some severe injuries and lost a lot of blood (hence the stroke). His right leg sustained the worst of it; they had to amputate it from below the knee down. Still much better than what could've happened. It's been just over a year. He's doing well and is still undergoing rehab.

I tend to avoid politics in most settings other than with some members of my immediate family. I very rarely discuss them with sources outside of family, but that bubble is very small and is with people I trust, or who at least will listen with an open mind. Politics, in my opinion, only seems to divide people who would otherwise get along most of the time. At least here in the US, with two powerful parties on opposite sides of the spectrum, it seems like it's either/or with little room for an in-between. I think social media and misinformation is making the division worse (on both sides of the aisle) than it really is.

Wonderful photos! I need to get into the habit of taking scenic photos around here again, now that I'm venturing out more for work. I'd definitely need to cover up with protective clothing and sunscreen if I were to ever visit the Middle East or anywhere close to the Equator though. XD

...I suppose in a sense, influencers are artists. I agree with you on trying to sell your life as perfect; nothing in this world is perfect. Stuff like that is clearly a front and is why I'm not one for much small talk; it feels like I'm wearing a theater mask (the grinning one), going through well-rehearsed and adapted to pleasantries without expressing the real me. I also dislike social media; if it isn't sanitized, it's polarized. I do have Facebook, but barely use it outside of Messenger. My parents don't have the best reception at their home, so sometimes it's easier to communicate with them that way. A couple of groups I'm in also use it to coordinate events, and it is sometimes the only way I'm even connected with people. The only other popular social media platform I have an account for is LinkedIn, but that was mainly to get my name out there when I was job searching a few years ago. The first part of this paragraph reminds me of "Perfect Life" by Red. XD

I tend to recommend mid-range PCs and laptops the majority of the time. I tell people never to go with the cheapest option since there's often a reason why that's the case lol. I don't mind giving computer advice and going crazy over specs on occasion. I'd like to try building my own PC eventually, but I don't have a huge need yet. Besides, GPUs are insanely expensive right now....

"Your magic

You reminded me of another song! "White Rabbit" by Egypt Central. I'm late as well, so we're even!

I was admittedly never that interested in racing games other than in passing, though there are a couple of arcade racers I enjoy (California Speed and Hydro Thunder). With Nintendo consoles, I missed out on the N64 and GameCube. As for handhelds, I never really delved into the series on those either lol. That said, I do like dipping into the occasional race or two in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe if I'm in the mood. I don't play it for hours on end however, nor do I participate in online play. Not sure if my blood pressure could take it lol.

I will tell grandma she has received more b-day wishes from the internet. Thanks! ^_^

@ThanosReXXX I've been on ferries, a cruise ship, and riverboat replicas, but I don't believe I've ever been on an actual one. While I'd be curious to go on this particular one just to say I've been, I'm not as sold on the casino aspect. XD

On Mario Kart: I've only properly played two MKs: the original on the SNES (Well, on my SNES Classic and the 3DS VC) and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I've at least touched Mario Kart Wii, but only in passing. No N64 or GCN access back in the day, though I admittedly have less of an excuse when it comes to the handheld entries. I haven't played any of those at all. I opted to jump straight to MK8D when I decided to give the series a proper chance as I've been told it's the best one.

@Sunsy Hope it was a good one! Play those games until you beat them!

@Anti-Matter I just wanted to mention that I enjoyed those pictures of the abandoned building a page or so back. I like photos like that; nature taking over civilization! There are actually people out there who document abandoned buildings, vehicles, theme parks, and other objects with photography.

There's actually a state park here that contains an old, abandoned observatory that a university's Department of Astronomy once used. It closed in the early 1980s after operating for about twelve years. I intend to hike to where it is at some point, but the site is a decent drive from where I live.

Ah, i see.
Btw, how could the wild plants grew so quickly when the building being abandoned ?
I oftenly see the weeds grow taller and quickly taking up the path within 6 months.
Also, i noticed there is always like wild tree plant started to grow on abandoned buildings. Within 1 year, the small wild tree become a tall tree.

And here i took a photo of turkey birds that i found near of my school neighborhood. It was an unusual situation for me to see turkeys walking around the house complex and eating wild grasses. Turkeys are never founded in my country unless if someone just let them swarming around on the street.

Ahhh... my phone's finally been upgraded. My old phone, an iPhone 7, has been losing significant battery performance, despite the battery itself being fine. It's began to bulge in the middle, making the screen pop out. I got a second-hand iPhone X instead; and despite that seemingly like an illogical choice the battery performance is just fine. They're generally not that good on Apple products so... that's life.

Untitled

Now I'll be able to go out without lugging a battery bank around like a backpack. The camera's pretty darn good on this thing too, you can make out all the small blemishes on the medals. Can't wait to develop my photography skills.

Yes! @Tyranexx it's finally done, my phone is now replaced! It's very fascinating using Face ID now, from one day of use it's already infinitely more reliable than Touch ID. Both are very interesting security features pioneered by Apple, but Face ID is without a doubt significantly better than Touch. The face scan feels much more complete than the thumbprint scan for one, and it actually feels like you're scanning yourself. It's also much quicker than Touch ID when it comes to recognising your biometrics too.

The camera's also very nice, though I'll get more chances to use it in future. Fascinating there's an option for 4K24fps, that'll make for an extremely cinematic film experience. Between everyone it depends, but personally I prefer 30 or 24fps for film and 60fps for video games. There's a lot more going on in video games, which is why the higher framerate is warranted, but for even animated movies it's both better and worse at the same time. Take this comparison for Mulan, for example.

I'm torn on the burgers, I know they aren't too good to be eaten every week but it's a very nice treat every once in a while. Ultimately it depends on what I do during the day, nowadays there's only two days a week I'm not doing some form of intense exercise. I have never eaten the burger at the end of a day of exercise, so I may try it in future and see how I digest it.

I have the same view on sleep deprivation, lack of motivation and mood, it's very important to be in the right headspace all the time. I do share your sentiments with shopping; my family tend to spend a lot more time in them than I'd want. Then again I'm a person who can easily squeeze an hour out of exploring a bookshop, so it differs vastly for everyone. Looking at every section is something I like to do; so teen, children, non-fiction, picture books, biographies, fact books, all of it. I don't like comics all that much though, there's way too many of them.

This morning I managed about 4K on a treadmill before pulling out, so I'd like to think I've healed up from all that. My left leg did ache whilst running, so I'll have to be very cautious when I swim tomorrow. And as for your grandmother running; that's just amazing. Shame that she can't relieve some good experiences like a specific restaurant; though if there's an option for takeaway that's absolutely on the cards.

Speaking of ninety-somethings; Prince Phillip has died! He lived a very full and eventful life, so it's not a matter of mourning lost potential but rather honouring a long-lived man. His is a very long story with crashes mentally, and physically. The UK will no doubt enter heavy mourning, so it may also give us a small indication as to how the infamous Operation London Bridge will work; ie the plan put in place when Queen Elizabeth II herself dies.

Jesus that's just awful. I'm glad he's alright (not dead at least) and has been on the mend without too much issue. Sorry about the amputation though, I can imagine that must have been devastating for him.

I believe you've made the right choices with political discussions. It's so easy to drive a rift between people due to politics and it's good that... now at least, that's not happening. Finding people to discuss sensitive topics with is difficult because approaching things with an open mind can often be a challenge. I live in the Middle East and I was asked the other day "why I wear shorts" out. It''s apparently a culture shock, but the person asking was more than accepting of my explanation for it; it wasn't indecent and it was hot. For women in Arabic culture it's very strict, because there's of course the risk that if they don't wear fully covering clothing the men around them could get aroused due to their beauty. It's a very male-centric society at the moment. I don't take advantage of it though; I'm very respectful to all the women around me.

Well... I should check out Metal Gear Solid 2, because that game predicted fake news.

I've lived in five countries in different places around the world, that are close to the equator. The closest one to you now, would be Trinidad & Tobago, an island off the coast of Venezuela. The second would be Kenya, then Singapore, Malaysia, and the fifth would be here. The climate's very hot everywhere, but the weather's fairly consistent. Suncream is now a second skin to me!

I can respect artists making their name on social media but influencers less so. Only guess I can make is that people want to be tricked into thinking influencer lives can be perfect. But so many scandals have gone on involving influencers that the illusion is broken for sharper people. Small talk is something I do at times to get things going; I only really do it if I don't know someone all that well. I met a few new people when returning to school, that I had spoken to virtually; and after testing waters with small talk I found I got along with them just fine. I only use basic amenities like WhatsApp, that's all someone could need in the world now. My connection to the rest of the world isn't severed, but I'm not owned by it. When I begin looking for work I will absolutely need to make a LinkedIn account; it's truly professional in nature, so there's little in the way of disctraction.

@Tyranexx - I think we’ve discussed sharing similar gaming compulsions, and I can say firmly that Animal Crossing does not induce any of my anxiety about doing “everything” and talking to every NPC. I realized very early on that there was just no way that would be possible in this game, and it set me free from worry. I’ve been playing for a year and still don’t have all varieties of fruit trees. I guess that’s just the way it is unless you get really active about joining a community and trading things. The kiddos do love it though, and our messy island is mostly of their design. We mainly just go back for seasonal and holiday events now, but I put some work in ahead of those events earning some bells, maybe making a new spot on the island, and decorating the house in a special way for them. Good times.

On the outdoor topic, all my redbuds are covered in little purple buds! It won’t be too long until we have our yearly short but glorious redbud mania.

@ogo79 - I ate all the eggs and kicked outta my coma. What doesn’t kill me only makes me hungrier. Dude, you’ve been killing it with those recent purchases. The CYOA board game and Golden Axe skeletons are great. Did you buy the DLC costume pack to change those GA skeletons into Army of Darkness skeletons?

@ThanosReXXX - I wonder if there will be a big enough niche market someday for someone to make new tube TVs just for retro gaming, though it seems the cost to the consumer would be ridiculous if they’re not mass manufactured. I’ll post a pic of the perler bead witch next fall when I dig her out of storage.

@MarioLover92 - I also like photographs of nature overtaking abandoned man made structures, and enjoyed @Anti-Matter ‘s pic of the ruined building. I don’t know why, but it’s just so pleasing to me. It really shows the power and restorative nature of... nature! It’s amazing to see simple vines and tree roots break apart and tear down buildings over time.

@Sunsy - A belated happy birthday. Glad you had a nice day.

So, today is 10 April 2021 12.11 am here.
It will be my 5th Anniversary of Wii U machine purchase day (i bought Wii U on 10 April 2016)
Wii U was the only machine i bought with color i don't like at all (Black Wii U).
I bought Black Wii U with Mario Kart 8 Bundle + Digital codes for 2 DLC, the worst bundle i have ever bought since i have no other bundle choices to be bought at that time (if i have choice, i want White Wii U bundle 32 GB). And my Wii U is still look ugly in Black color without some makeover. I don't understand why gamers like Black color for video game machine. I like White colored video game machine instead, White color is represent innocence and my rebel against the mainstream. Yes, it will looks like kiddie toys and i don't even care because i want to keep portraying my video game machines like a kiddie toys with White color.

The best bundle i bought was PS4 Slim White 500 GB, New 3DS XL USA / LL Japan Pearl White, New 3DS XL Fire Emblem edition PAL.
PSP 3000 was the only machine i got in Blue color.

Why do you have to spew such crap really?

I like black electronics because they look slick, elegant and modern. My PS4 Pro, One X and my grey+black Switch look amazing! Not because of the things you say. Stop living in some made up fantasy.

Next time just say you prefer colorful electronics with vivid colors instead of insulting the whole gaming community!

Hiya. 😀
Have you seen my photo of turkey birds ?
I was surprised to see some turkey birds walking around neighborhood as i have never seen before turkey birds very close.
It was this morning right before i entered my school, i saw 3 creatures looks like chicken but bigger, i was thinking was that chickens but after i get closer, they were turkey birds. Usually cats are wandering around house complex in neighborhood but to see turkey birds walking around neighborhood, it was something very unusual. I was thinking the turkey birds might have the owner and where was the owner to let turkey birds walking around the house complex and eating wild grasses.

About abandoned buildings, there were another abandoned building around my neighborhood that recently got a house makeover after someone has purchased that venue. Before that, the house was incomplete modern looking house blocked by rotten iron gates and some dead ivy.

@Anti-Matter No worries, man. And never be afraid to reply to me: I may be a bit too direct at times, but it's not like I'm going to bite your head off...

You should always feel confident enough to stand up for yourself, and it's also okay to not have the same likes. At least we all share the same hobby in general, and that's gaming. And remember: you even managed to interest me in Dillon's Dead-Heat Breakers, so that's a considerable achievement to put on your list...

P.S.

Your comment on console colors is a bit... abstract and it misses the point. In general, lots of audio and video equipment comes in black or at least in darker colors, and it has a specific purpose, which has really nothing to do whatsoever with it meaning that people are more tough or manly. It's simply because the equipment shouldn't stand out when it's placed next to or underneath your TV, so that the focus goes to what's important, and that is what the hardware displays on the screen, NOT how it looks underneath that TV.

Besides that, white equipment gets dirtier far more quickly, and also discolors with time, whereas black does not. In general, the meaning of white as a color code does mean purity and innocence and so on, but that does not apply to consoles. That's more for flowers and wedding dresses...

@Tyranexx Ha, I never even considered or thought of the on-board casinos. I just meant being on a riverboat, lounging on the deck, enjoying the view and admiring the mechanics of it. I don't find anything romantic in casinos.

As for Mario Kart: if you ever manage to kidnap that Wii from your parent's home, you really owe it to yourself to get both Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart Double Dash for the GameCube, they're SO much fun to play and offer tons of replay value.

@ogo79 Well, if that's crap, then it's some pretty cool crap, to be honest. Golden Axe is one of my favorite retro games. Kinda odd that they'd have the skeletons as action figures, though. I'd sooner figure that they'd have the main cast as action figures instead.

@bimmy-lee NEXT Fall??? Well, I guess I'll better learn to exercise some extreme patience, then...

As for newly manufactured CRT's: wouldn't that be something? Although they'd probably screw them up and they STILL wouldn't work with light gun games, one of the main reasons why I still want one.

@Eel Yeah I got the Twilight Princess edition of Picross as well, shortly after My Nintendo launched. It's one of the better rewards that MN has.

@Tyranexx I enjoy racing games quite a bit, whether they're arcade or kart racers. I love the thrill of going fast, lol! Mario Kart and F-Zero are my two favorite ones, and I used to have stuff like San Francisco Rush on the N64, which was also a good time. I just got Daytona USA from the PS3 store too. Kinda wish it came out on Switch though.

@bimmy-lee Yeah, those photographs are fascinating to see. There's a local nature park that I enjoy walking around in - I even went ahead and took a bunch of pictures while walking!

@ThanosReXXX Mario Kart: Double Dash is awesome, I like its two-character mechanic and how each character gets their own special item. I love its tracks as well! It's definitely the most unique Mario Kart game. Mario Kart Wii is also quite good, I dig its character roster and tracks, but it's the one that has that dang thunder cloud. Why have an item that harms you?
