Anyone here play arkham origins for wii u? How is it?

@Snatcher Half of me can definitely relate to that sentiment, but the other half always tells me to not get defeated by anything, especially not by my own mistakes, and since I already put all that time and effort into typing the original comment, I wasn't about to let that time spent be for nothing, so I might as well bite the bullet and finish what I started...

@NintendoByNature I only own Arkham City on the Wii U, which is basically a must-have, by the way, so I don't have any personal experience with Origins, but far as I know, all Batman games got rather favorable reviews on the Wii U, so more than likely definitely worth giving a go, if you can get it for a decent price.

@ThanosReXXX yea I loved city, asylum and knight. But I completely skipped origins for whatever reason. I figured it'll be good but you never know.

@NintendoByNature
I finished Transformers Prime Wii U last Sunday LOL.
It was very short, just only 13 Stages.
And the storyline was... cheap and mediocre in my opinion. Too short.

And yesterday i got Starfox Adventures Gamecube from Tokopedia with very cheap price (nearly US$ 20, see my post on previous page).
I was so lucky and relieved to able get Starfox Adventures as the other Gamecube games from the seller i bought was sold out very quickly. I missed Megaman Network Transmission USA version with just Rp 200,000 or US$ 13.88 from that seller, the game suddenly has been bought by other peoples. 😵
The first impression from Starfox Adventures, am i kidding that game was running in 60 fps and 480p (My TV was compatible with progressive scan so the game was displayed in 480p instead of 480i) ? 😲
But for the control scheme, i was disappointed a bit for not having camera angle rotation from yellow analog stick as usually 3D Adventure games must have camera angle rotation on right analog stick. Btw, what language did the blue fox and dinosaurian talk ? It sounds like either Dutch or French or The Sims language. 🤭

@ThanosReXXX Great to see you again, and I imagine it must be extremely frustrating to do that. Either way you've successfully delivered your points so... mission success? Anyhow let's get to the meat! I'm not Socar, I'm not gonna attack people for their opinions, which may or may not be much more enlightened than mine.

I'm having a nice week of break next week so I'm fairly confident I'll be able to attack my backlog at least a little bit. Not sure if I'll be able to make even a small dent into Kingdom Hearts considering how huge that game is, but I'll sure as hell try. As for Super Mario Sunshine, I imagine it was more... refined when it was played on GameCube or Wii. I feel like Sunshine was optimised for the Switch as well as Harvey Weinstein was optimised for kindness.

By the time comment #50,773 rolled around I wasn't exactly unfamiliar with the spoiler boxes, but I assume it was a mistake on my part. I've tended to text wall a lot when I have some very good points, such as with Xenoblade 2, anything motor racing (PS, are you excited for the return of F1 in just under two weeks?) or even things right here. I've joined the high council of textmasonry that has yourself, NEStalgia, JaxonH, and Ruy_Niiyama as pre-existing members. Having said that editing this after I've finished, this too is a text wall, though I doubt I have too many seriously good points about the upcoming Xbox debacle.

Now then, Xbox. First I'll start by saying that I don't own one, so I'm confident that because you yourself own one you'll have a much clearer picture than me, of what's been going on in that particular community. I also imagine in hindsight that my comments were directed towards Xbox One and not the Series X.

I'll tag @MarioLover92 and @Tyranexx too; Of course it's not all first person shooters. From my perspective whenever I see an ad for Xbox, or any kind of marketing, or any game that people talk about, it's always a shooter. They take over the platform like a virus. And it was until I read that... admittedly confusingly expansive list of exclusives that I remembered that they own Rare. And they still lent Banjo & Kazooie out to Nintendo for Smash. For fans it was great, and let's be honest Microsoft would have gotten so much hate if news leaked out that they denied that. Good for both parties and it's refreshing to see a company that doesn't clutch all their properties to their chest like Nintendo or Sony.

As a PS gamer I'm not sure how to react to Microsoft buying Bethesda. For Xbox fans and I'll hold my hands up and say it; this will make their platform significantly more viable for people like me (even if I'm perfectly content with the two) who want more from games than shooters and driving, as much as I love the latter. I haven't played a single Bethesda game in my entire life but they've from what I've heard ranged from incredible (Skyrim, Fallout 4, both DOOM games) to downright disappointing (Fallout 76), and that inconsistency doesn't always make for a comfortable experience I imagine.

Just a small side note; the thing I like about Nintendo, and specifically Nintendo since no other gaming company does this, is that they aren't afraid to be silent with their game news. It's great to get updates from Eiji Aonuma and all but usually with them, no news is good news. If the game's hit dire straits like Metroid Prime 4 in 2019, we'd either hear about it from them right then, or in ten years. Similarly, look at Platinum, who've managed to keep fans away with a five metre pole, by saying in every Kamiya interview, "Shaddup, we're working,".

And GT versus Forza... if only I played both games, to be able to give an honestly fair verdict. Same applies with yourself in that as far as I know, you haven't played GT Sport, so in a bizarre way this was inevitable? In any case the two games released at the same time, so I can imagine why Forza would be better. Having said that it must be really good to pass over such a high bar that is sim racing in general. I'll similarly invite @WoomyNNYES and @NEStalgia to argue for Forza, it'll be interesting to compare and contrast the two racing simulation flagships of different consoles. But before I finish; you use Windows Vista? Some part of me argues that's why your browser freezes up for up to five minutes.

@ThanosReXXX Hey thanks for the reply. I will admit, I do like how the Xbox One got better when Phil Spencer stepped in, plus I like how it was being more and more backward compatible with 360 and OG Xbox games (although, not their entire libraries). Its controller is pretty good too, not gonna lie. (I've played the X1 before - my cousin had one.) I'm a PC owner with Steam though, so I'm pretty happy with that, my Switch, and my other Nintendo systems. I guess if I see the X1 for a reasonable price, then I'd get it for Rare Replay. That's the one exclusive I'd be totally into.

@Anti-Matter I've played Mega Man Network Transmission before, and I don't remember it being very good. I remember playing it for the first time, like any other Mega Man game...only to find that the Mega Buster is so pathetically weak. The first boss is insanely overpowered as well, causing me to lose a life in like, 5 seconds. It's a guaranteed Game Over if it's your first time playing - I know it was for me, lol.

It is an interesting experiment with the game combining classic Mega Man gameplay with mechanics from the Mega Man Battle Network games (most notably the Battle Chips as your special weapons), but overall I found the main series Mega Man games (1-11) to be way more fun overall.

Star Fox Adventures is pretty good though. I played and finished it many years ago and I had a good time with it. The Test of Fear is awful, however. That foreign language is pretty much made up for this game, IIRC.

LOL
You know, i only scooped out Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix + Universe series and Kinect games from XBOX and XBOX 360 machines.
Those are the only games that i have interest from XBOX machines. Only DDR and Kinect games, nothing else. 😅
For 3rd party multiplatform games, i always choose either Sony or Nintendo version.

@MarioLover92
So, Megaman Network Transmission was not newbie friendly, eh ?
What do you think Mega man Battles on NDS ?
Outfit design of Megaman Battle was appealing me but was not sure with the gameplay.

So recently I’ve been joining the among us predators rooms who ask for teenage girl’s snaps and either stringing them along to eventually ditch them or to tell the girls in the room it is dangerous. This is easily the biggest problem among us has right now and it should be fixed ASAP! I understand getting moderators would be pretty hard to maintain but it is something that must be done to protect younger girls from these sick people. If any of you just do happen to ever meet up with one of these creeps don’t fall for it and warn anyone else you know who plays among us of the same.

Thank you for listening my rant is over😊

@Anti-Matter I actually like the main MMBN series - most of the games were quite good. Given that it's more of an RPG than the Mega Man platformers, the Battle Chips are more intuitive than how Network Transmission handled them. I liked Battle Network 2, 3, and 6 the most. And yes, I like the character design as well.

FYI, those games were on the Game Boy Advance, not the DS. There is a sequel series on the DS called Mega Man Star Force though. I've played the first one, but for some reason I didn't like it that much. All six of the MMBN games are on the Wii U Virtual Console as well, so they're more readily available since you've got a Wii U.

@TheJGG Argue for Forza vs Grant Turismo? Well, there's two Forza's. 1. Regular Forza: a racing sim, with real world tracks, more or less competing directly with Gran Turismo, it's competent, doesn't have licnese tests like GT had (which I love those). And, Forza Horizon: an open world racer with missions, challenges, races, and it's even great to roam free, whizzing by other cars, finding jumps, mowing down fences.

Forza Horizon, though, THAT's the real star. It's compelling, crazy, sublime? I'd say it's the Super Mario Bros 3 of racing games. It's the best open world racer. They created a whole new benchmark with the Horizon series. It's not perfect, but what it does is amazing. They've got all classes of cars spanning decades, like Gran Turismo. You get the same assist choices you get with GT; So, you can play it like an arcade racer, or like a sim. There's so much content, I don't know how to sum it up without a rambling wall of text. I guess I'll say, look up IGN's review of Forza Horizon 3 & 4.

I prefer cartoonish Mario Kart style racing games by Nintendo and 3rd party over realistic racing / driving games (Gran Turismo, Ride, Forza, etc). Realistic style is really boring for me, no tensions, no whimsical.
Cartoonish racing games + Super Eurobeat Initial D style songs = Best thing ever.

@WoomyNNYes @Anti-Matter Honestly, while I like games like Mario Kart, which are abstract by nature and in concept I prefer simulations. So if I hypothetically had to choose between Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon I'd choose Motorsport. I love racetracks in general and having the option to drive around Mugello... god that would be a hell of a ride.

@TheJGG Spoken just like a guy with a Kimi Raikkonen avatar 😠. haha, I'm mesing with you. You asked me to argue for Forza, so I did. If I had another console, it would be Playstation, and I most definitely would get Gran Turismo, love & miss that game!

@Anti-Matter I got a Switch because I HAD TO HAVE Mario Kart 8. I didn't have any other game in mind when I bought the Switch Currently, Mario Kart 8 & Crash Team Racing are in my top 5 most played games.

@WoomyNNYes I mean, the first time Räikkönen raced at Mugello he beat both Ferraris on track, which considering his less than flattering machinery is a very impressive feat. That circuit is a feast for the eyes and the senses. Seeing cars fly around that track taking corners flat out at 290kph is enough to induce a serious adrenaline rush even by watching it on television.
