@Anti-Matter In 2.0, it's just the toy box itself with Disney characters, no playsets. So you'll end up building your own worlds. There won't be worlds to unlock, but you'll unlock stuff that will help build worlds (a Cars world I made in 2.0 got its unlocks by scanning the figure). I have no Marvel figures and played the toy box mode with no problems.

Worth noting the Stitch and Merida set has a focus on the toy box aspect instead of playset worlds. There's no predetermined scenario in the toy box as its focus is to build your own world and experience.

You may get Marvel related buildings and props in the toy box menu (scenery to build your world with), otherwise you don't need to ever touch them. Two of the toy box creations I made were based off Phineas and Ferb and Cars, none of which have Marvel stuff in it.

Oh, i have one question again about 1.0
I found from my local online shop Tokopedia, there are some seller who have 1.0 PS3 version not in complete set (game in box only without figurines and the scan pad)
So if i pick 1.0 without any figurines and scan pad, can i still able to play the game ?

Btw, i still confused when i saw the gameplay videos from Youtube about 2.0 and 3.0 about first gameplay.
Here is one example.

In here, i saw about Aladdin gameplay from 2.0
Is Aladdin world already from the beginning inside the disc or it will be available when i scan the Aladdin figurines ?
And if i buy 2.0 game in disc only without the figurines and scan pad, what will i get in Toy Box World ?

No good deed
Will I do
AGAIN...!!!

Sunsy

@Anti-Matter That video is the tutorial. You'll probably have to end up building Aladdin's world via the toy box mode.

The game is practically unplayable without the figures and base to scan them. Do not buy a copy of Infinity without the figures and base, it will be useless and you won't get passed the title screen. The base and figures are definitely a requirement.

@Sunsy
Ah... I see.
Thank you so much for the confirmation. 😀
So i have to find the scan pad first and some figurines before consider 1.0 and 2.0
Have you ever tried 3.0 with Disney characters only (Inside Out, Zootopia, etc) ?
3.0 are heavily in Star Wars and Marvel heroes but if i start 3.0 by scan Disney figurines only, so i will never encounter Star Wars and Marvel heroes at all, right ?

@Anti-Matter have you thought about picking one of the skylander sets up instead of the Infinity or was it the toybox mode that interests you rather than the gameplay?

I remember Toy Story 3 on the Xbox 360 had a mode that was pretty much an early version of Disney Infinity's Toy Box mode. But without the need to have peripherals and figurines... And restricted to characters from Toy Story of course.

It's been a long while since I played it though.

@Monkeido yeah I think l return to the previous one in a few days.

Not interested at all by Skylanders.
Something that made me intrigued from Disney Infinity was Toy Box Mode since i like designing games like The Sims.
But i'm very picky with Western franchises.
Only some of Disney franchises i really have genuine interest so if Disney Infinity allows me to choose specific figurines to be played, i might consider the games as long i can stay away from Star Wars and Marvel heroes.

@Eel
I have Toy Story 3 PS3 version.
But right now i'm in Toy Box Mode.
When i will unlock Story Mode like the movie version ?

@Anti-Matter the story mode should be its own mode. I remember playing that first, before Toy Box.

Edit I just checked, and yeah, you just need to select a story level instead of toybox mode in the level select screen.

@Anti-Matter infinity does allow you to pick up just the figures you want and completely avoid the licenses that don't appeal to you. A lot of the toybox unlocks came from little discs from blind bags if I remember correctly but you do get a fair choice from the figures. The one advantage is that most of the stuff can be picked up dirt cheap as it's no longer supported.
I'm the other way to you, I picked it up solely for the marvel characters lol

@Anti-Matter You're welcome. I am a casual Star Wars fan, I'll watch the occasional movie and play the occasional game, so I have some of those. As for 3.0 and Inside Out, I enjoyed it a lot and it's one of my favorite play sets in the series. Do keep in mind that later 3.0 figures require a download, the data for the Zootopia figures and the Finding Dory figures and playset are not on the disc.

BTW, it's important to make note some figures will have a 2.0 or a 3.0 on the bottom. This means those figures won't work with the older versions (can't use Stitch in 1.0), you can use older figures with newer versions of the game.

I have a question for the moderators. Am I allowed to talk about CTGPR on here or no? I read the rules and I think it’s fine but I just wanted to make sure.

I mean, I've never really drawn, as it's something I don't much interest in. I also used to think that I don't have almost any creativity in me at all until a few years ago so that didn't help either. I tend to stick with non-creative things, as I have difficulty to what to come up with to create. 🤔
That's awesome that you're an artist, and I hope we get to see more of your work.

@Tyranexx
Tim Burton is definitely unique. I'm not against watching his movies, I just prepare myself for this "unique" touch when I watch them. (if that makes sense). If you don't mind me asking, what Tim Burton movies you have seen (besides The Nightmare Before Christmas, that is)?
I also don't mind watching animated series/movies aimed at a younger audience either for the same reasons as you.

@Mr-Fuggles777
I know you meant this question for Anti-Matter, but I picked up Skylanders: Superchargers around the time it was new, and I enjoyed it. I didn't have interest in Skylanders either, until they added Bowser and DK, and I saw SuperChagers on sale for $30 (IIRC) and decided to go for it. I just wish the Skylanders series would come out of hiatus. If they need help coming up with ideas, I have an idea that might just work.
Do you have Skylanders? Also, which versions of Disney Infinity do you have, or do you just have 2.0? 🤔

@Anti-Matter
Why are you not interested in Skylanders? 🤔

Please give Ninjala a chance, guys. 🤔

I've seen a lot of Burton's films, too, @SM3DASislit... His 2 Batman ones, Edward Sciddorhands, Nightmare Before Christmas, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass!

@SM3DASislit I also have SuperChargers, on both Wii U and Wii because they're two different games (the Wii version being racing only). As a result I have both DK and Bowser figures. I haven't played all the Skylanders games, of the few I did play, SuperChargers remains my favorite of them. Had fun with both versions.

@SM3DASislit if they made a new sky landers game my wallet would probably die😂 I still have about 100 or more sky landers and I’ll go back to playing it once or twice a year. Super chargers was pretty good. My favorite was trap team and swap force though. They did the best at being just pure fun! Imaginators is only ok though sadly.
