@Tyranexx Yeah, I'm the same way with the coding burnout too. Some of those programming assignments I did were really tough back then, so it wasn't exactly my best subject, lol. I was better at math and art classes, so that's cool at least. I never took C#, just C++ and a couple other languages.
Thank you! Really happy how my profile pic turned out.
@Anti-Matter Without spoiling anything, Super Mario Sunshine isn't any easier than Super Mario Galaxy. It's quite tough at points, honestly. It's still a good game though - I love the controls, worlds, and soundtrack in that game.

Got out for a little of the Gen 6 Pokemon action this evening in Pokemon Go. I definitely don't have all the newly available Pokemon yet, but I've captured Chespin (/shudder), Fennekin, Bunnelby, Litleo, and Espurr via a raid so far. Others shadows showed up, but some pizza needed picked up at that point.
Has anyone here played Among Us? Thinking of trying it out on mobile as I've been asked to play by a friend. Tonight isn't gonna work, but we're gonna try over the weekend. Any newbie tips? Is this reasonable with microtransactions?
@HotGoomba___Rebrand Understandable, considering I missed out on Sunshine! There was a huge gap where I didn't have access to Nintendo TV consoles outside of demo units at stores; I jumped from the SNES to the Wii. Whereas I've owned their handhelds since the Game Boy Color.
I do like your avatar! Quite festive.
@Heavyarms55 I had the same issue with Emboar, though I did slightly prefer its design over its fiery predecessor. Fennekin starts out great, but Delphox's design is meh...and it's a little too squishy for my liking. Conversely I actually like Litten's entire line (I might have a cat bias...), but I was happy that Incineroar ended up as Fire/Dark. Still haven't played the Gen 8 games, but Cinderace looks eh. Going back to Infernape....It's telling when I normally started with the fire type in most of my runs before that point, but then I went out of my way to not choose Chimchar at all. I picked Turtwig for my Diamond run, then used Piplup (and later traded over a Turtwig I bred off the Torterra from Diamond) for Platinum. Infernape is a slight improvement over its pre-evos, but it definitely isn't my favorite.
Seems like we agree on many of the good/not so good Gen 5 designs so far. I do like Unfezant and its two very dimorphic gender forms, but Pidove and Tranquil are indeed generic as heck. Patrat is also pretty meh, though I consider it a very slight improvement over Biderp.
Overall, both Gens 4 and 5 are decent, but the oversaturation of Pokemon is why 4 slightly outranks 5 in my opinion. B/W and B2/W2 still win in the story department, but in about everything else I have to give the crown to D/P/Pt, and ESPECIALLY because I agree with you on HG/SS; those latter two are, as of this writing, the definite pinnacle of the series for me. I loved the 2.5D environments in Gen 4, which was more refined in 5. I cannot understate how blown away I was by the D/P demo running on a DS display unit at a local store. I was just fully getting into the internet at this time and reading everything I could about Pokemon. I discovered Serebii around then and joined in Pokemon discussions back on IGN's boards when it wasn't such a giant popular garbage pail.
Leaving out Gen 8 and keeping remakes to the actual generations they released (Which would reorder this list if I did not), I'd rank the generations like this: 4 > 5 > 3 > 7 > 2 > 1 > 6. 4/5 I've covered somewhat already. 3 would be lower if not for FR/LG as there are some aspects of R/S/E that irritate me despite being solid games overall. 7 was fairly decent, though I feel that a lot of what went into US/UM could've easily been in S/M if they'd waited a year. And I prefer S/M's story. 2/1 would be ranked higher if I put my rose-colored glasses back on and considered their remakes. 6...While it has some redeeming qualities in its mechanics and extras, the story had odd pacing with only a few decent moments, Team Flare was absolutely horrible, and I wasn't too invested into the region in general. I honestly can't recall too many details from my Y playthrough.
And hey, you like what you like! I'd rather someone be genuine instead of jumping on the bandwagon.
@MarioLover92 I enjoyed what I did learn about C++, but it's been so long I'd almost have to start at square one again. I'm more used to object oriented languages now. As for math, overall I'm pretty decent at it but have to work hard at it sometimes. And I've never exactly cared for it lol. Thankfully basic algebra knowledge is all that's needed most of the time. XD
@ThanosReXXX Arrrr matey! Thanks fer unearthing that thar buried treasure! Looks like it won some o' them awards an' nominations! I'll have ter study up more on that thar film!

@Tyranexx among us only has micro transactions for clothes. Really don’t need to spend anything. It’s a great game, and after a few matches I’m sure you’ll know how to play just fine.
@Blooper987 Phew, I was hoping the microtransactions would be for something unnecessary like that. Sounds like it's fairly easy to pick up too. IIRC the game has been out for a little while, but it recently picked up steam due to streamers and YouTubers? Thanks for the input!

@Tyranexx
I want to ask about monster breeding games.
Have you ever know about Monster Rancher on PS1 and PS2 ?
Monster breeding game by TECMO which you can combine 2 monster become a monster A with color skin of monster B and you can get the monsters by inserting other CD or DVD into PS1 / PS2 machine to check the code inside and generate fixed monster from specific discs.
I grew up by Monster Rancher 2 and 4 on PS1 and PS2 as when i compare the storyline and gameplay between Pokemon and Monster Rancher, in my honest opinion, the storyline of Pokemon was too scripted and fake, didn't really feel natural like if you faced with dangerous villains, they were really dangerous threat and no joking.
I started to enjoy Pokemon games from Pokemon X first then add with another Pokemon games but every single Pokemon games i felt they were identical, same repetitive meet with Gym leader, all of them too scripted for me.
When i have idea for better Pokemon gameplay but Not limiting by 4 abilitirs only (Monster Rancher let you keep all abilities), some peoples bashing my idea because it was too different, didn't feel like Pokemon games. When peoples keep asking something new for Pokemon games but when the new ideas implemented, peoples complaining for too many changes. I never understand what are the peoples want for the better changes.
@Tyranexx Among Us doesn't have any major microtransactions and the game can be understood quickly. If you still have trouble, you could look up a tutorial for Among Us.
If there's one tip I can give to you is that when you're the imposter, don't vent or kill in front of anyone or the security cameras. And Among Us players are generally gullible, so you can lie about anyone and mostly get away with it.
@Tyranexx I played the heck out of Y. But not for it's story. I bred several shinys and played a lot of wifi battles. It's still my highest playtime of a single save file in any game ever. Lol.
I played a bit of Go today too. Didn't get anything special but nabbed a few gen 6 mons.

Would be cool to play Among Us with people from the forums. Though it seems it requires everyone being able to communicate properly for it to be the most fun.
So setting it all up seems like a bit of a hassle.
@Anti-Matter I've heard of Monster Rancher and did watch some of the anime back in the day. I haven't played any of the games however. Those PS1/2 games sound like they're fun! I do pick up alternative monster games every now and again: I've played Monster Hunter Stories and the first two 3DS Yo-kai Watch games for example.
I can see how you think Pokemon games can be repetitive. I've usually stuck with them for the mechanics and exploration in more recent entries than the story. There are some dark themes hidden in the games at times, but they can only do so much when it's aimed at children. Though X/Y (the sixth generation games) have the worst plot in the series IMO, with a few bright spots in there...mostly related to Pokemon Trainer AZ.
@HotGoomba___Rebrand That's reassuring. Sounds like it's a fun game! I didn't think it would be too complex, I was just curious how easy it was to pick up. I suppose only I can answer that lol.
@Heavyarms55 The main reason I picked up Y, besides it being part of a new Pokemon generation, was because I liked Yveltal's design more, though Xerneas is pretty decent too. The cover legendary is part of the deciding factor, along with what version exclusives I desire more. I think I sunk maybe 100 hours into the game, whereas I clocked about 300 hours into Black 2 according to my 3DS log lol.
I did like a lot of the mechanics introduced in X/Y, particularly Mega Evolution, as OP as it sometimes is.
@ThanosReXXX I can belt them out on occasion, particularly when I need to strong together a few responses. Probably should have broken that one up a little.
I do have a curiosity for foreign movies, depending on the subject matter. Though a subbed version at the very least would be desirable.
