I'd try the Age of Calamity demo - frame rate issues don't bother me unless a game is borderline unplayable as a result - but I'm worried about BotW spoilers. I still haven't played it. I do intend to start the game before the year is out.
@HotGoomba___Rebrand Hear hear! Now if only ad blockers worked on the mobile YouTube app....Their ads have become very aggressive lately.
@Andrew_R_2000 Very sorry to hear that. My sympathies. Losing a loved one is always hard.
@NEStalgia Funnily enough, I almost suggested communication by carrier pigeon in my previous post. I'm currently playing through Grim Fandango on the Switch, so that popped into my mind WAY too easily.
I use Firefox on my personal devices. At work I could care less and just use Chrome out of habit. They're only tracking my work wanderings that way. XD
@Heavyarms55 Out of curiosity, did Humble Bundle throw any errors? There are different error codes that websites churn out that give an idea of what's going on...mainly for those in charge of its maintenance. To use a common example, 404 - web page not found.
It wouldn't have thrown anything if the browser didn't connect to the site at all however.
Better spread some of that good shiny luck around.
@Tyranexx calamity warriors is a prequel, story wise, so it can't really spoil too much that you don't already know at the start of botw. Revealing Zelda and the champions when they're actually alive shouldn't kill much if the experience.
Unless you don't want to be spoiled that Gannon is the enemy?
I could be forgetting something about it but generally the game is very plot light do there aren't really any twists that can be soiled, far as i remember. The biggest thing is just having seen some of the places when thriving before seeing ruins rather than seeing ruins and wondering what must have been.
Of course it's the same link out from cryo (or unread reanimation?) So despite his amnesia (because Japan) he should know it all anyway
@Tyranexx Lol, the only reason why I don't have Adblock on YouTube is because it's how YouTubers earn money, but I'm tired of hearing political ads, so I might just get YouTube Red/Premium.
@Eel maybe, but there's not much there. Stuff went boom. Everything is us ruins, nobody is left. The details of what exactly happened aren't really that spoilable, just extra detail.
@NEStalgia Not much story spoilers eh? I've been staying away from footage outside of the initial announcement. I don't want a lot of characters/areas spoiled either TBH. My knowledge of BotW is fairly light, other than I know Calamity Ganon exists and that there are four divine beasts. And Guardians. And Lynels. And many other things that make Link go splat. XD
@HotGoomba___Rebrand Political ads weren't bad at first but have really ramped up during the last couple of weeks. The big thing here is my state has a Yes/No vote coming up tomorrow about if we should implement a graduated income tax system vs. the fixed tax system we have now. Literally every other ad is for or against it.
I seriously can't wait for tomorrow to end. And even then, I doubt I'll hear the end of how the results will come out (at multiple levels) for some time.
@NintendoByNature Hopefully late this fall/early winter. XD I feel the announcements of both BotW 2 and now AoC are very strong hints.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@Tyranexx Welp, that's basically all the story there is!
Seriously, like Zelda 1, BOTW is pretty darn story-light. That's the criticism of it. There's no Twilight Pricness or Skyward Sword here. There's Ganon, there's the ruins, there's flashbacks at key points to introduce the Champions and who they were and a bit of the past of Link, Zelda, the Champions before the Calmaity......aannd....that's kind of the crux of it. Some fun character moments in there, some fun "ohh, so this is how it was before" moments....but basically it's Bethesda Fallout with color. Empty wasteland, but pretty wasteland, lots of places to explore, handfuls of characters in the handful of towns. A few fun moments. Mostly empty world, but memorably empty. But mostly exploration is the goal, seeing the sights, finding the MacGuffins. Not too unlike LoZ 1: "It's dangerous to go alone, take this and do shtuff until you kill Ganon....which you can technically do right now if you're awesome."
I can't believe i changed my games order in the last minute after my seller told me that one game from Tokopedia user still haven't got any response to order the game so i changed my previous order from Chocobo Racing PS1 Japan to Valthirian Arc PS4 USA since i found the game was on sale so i quickly selected that game immediately as my Wild Card.
Actually i didn't plan to play Valthirian Arc at the moment despite i knew that game was created by indie developer from my country Indonesia (it created from Bandung, not my hometown since Bandung is located at West Java), but hey.... I found the game with very cheap price from Tokopedia so i have to get to used with the gameplay as i have never played before.
I checked the credit roll of Valthirian Arc from Youtube and yes.... I saw Indonesian peoples names as the main team.
Hopefully more Indonesia indie developers keep growing and create more indie games.
@WaveWitch I use itunes and TunesKit m4v video converter to remove the drm & convert to regular .mp4. Since last spring, it only works if you use an older itunes version from a year ago, which is detailed on the tuneskit website faq. If you already have iTunes, when you get the older version, you have to unauthorize the computer and reauthorize it, which just takes a few seconds, in order for it to work.
Tuneskit cost $45 usd, but i thought it was worth it. I now own mp4's of seasons 3-9 of The Simpsons, a bunch of Futurama, and few other shows & movies. https://www.tuneskit.com/m4v-converter/
