Oh, well. After having made the mistake of having stepped in a couple of times across several related articles, I've now decided to stay well away, and not just for the good of my own health...

I'm just beyond words for what has become of Pokemon conversation. It didn't used to be like this....I'm not sure what happened. I mean, I know, to a degree. A bunch of grown men are outraged that their favorite childhood toy didn't turn into a franchise meant for competitive eSports wannabes suited to their current age that includes a cumulative collection of all prior content in all future titles. But what I don't understand is why any of them actually ever expected that the product would change for them rather than remaining what it was when they loved it? It's a bizarre mentality.
If you want to actually understand you should trying listening to their arguments rather than making generalisations of the matter beforehand. You're assuming it's men, you're assuming it's not already an esport etc.
@jump Oh I've read them. And I certainly don't want to drag continuing the debating of those specific points into this thread too. I'm sure there's some amount of women and children in there, most of the cases of the specific people making the most painful rants are men.
And I'm certainly not dragging the "but Nintendo's supported competitive play before, so the game must always cater heavily toward competitive players, and I'll shout into the void until I get what I want darnit!" direction into this thread too! It's not that I don't understand the arguments they're making. It's that I don't understand the mentality that would lead them to make such arguments to begin with. No matter how you slice it the core argument is "I want Pokmeon to be a different game than the designers do, and I'll publicly display anger as a result."
It's ok if they really want a different game than what Pokemon is designed to be. Tajiri thought the same of SMT once and created Pokemon as a result. But I'm quite sure he didn't jump up and down demanding that Atlus change SMT to be the game he wanted it to be because he and a bunch of other petition signing fans told them to.
@jump Ha! Fair point, I suppose it is complaining about the complainers. As it's consumed all conversation about an otherwise huge release, and made it a wasteland across the site, it's just disheartening. Anyone remember when a new big franchise game was exciting?
@HobbitGamer Pepperidge Farm?? F$#@# lazy hacks. Milano wafers used to have 16oz, then the liars dropped it to 14. And the cookies aren't even stuffed as much. I'm a fan and i care. I ate Milano wafers when i was a kid. They have betrayed us! They those lazy cheap liars need to be called out for this until they fix it. They made a holiday fruit cake in 2004 that was almost 2lbs!! There's no excuse for this!! Don't you dare apologize for them.... Nobody is allowed to criticize the sacred Pepperidge Farm on this site. It's a joke.
I'll take it up with them tomorrow. They're one of my better customers. Although they only make buns, and bread here. But, they make the cinnamon swirl bread at this location. Say what you will about them, once you taste a fresh loaf of swirl bread they can do no wrong ..
@NEStalgia Haha. Maybe the “Double-Chocolate Milano” is just the circa ‘00 version at a higher price and the standard Milano is the cut back “Switch-Lite” at an inflated price.

Highlight of the night, the team I was on won a game of Apex Legends. That made my night.
@MarioLover92 Yeah, he never had a chance to play that Mario Kart entry, as well as Metroid Prime, even though he played GameCube. I was very surprised at the latter as he loves Metroid. So I introduced him to that and he picked up a copy of it. He's hyped for Metroid Prime 4.
Indeed, upon replaying it awhile back I forgot about the special items. I pretty much always main Princess Peach and Yoshi, for the silly reason I like them both. There is no strategy behind it, I like playing as my favorites. I agree the physics are different, it didn't hurt my enjoyment of Double Dash.

@NintendoByNature only bread and buns? Where are the cookies? Where are the frozen turnovers? So much cut content! This is rediculous, they cut all that content out they were able to deliver back in 1997! They said each cookie needs it's own mold, but i saw a YouTube video with them all coming off the same conveyor. It's all lies and the devout believers here believe everything they say! You can't reason with them, you can't say the truth! They just accept that bread and cookies need different temperatures even when you show them evidence of them shipped in the same truck!!
There were 7 different types of Goldfish 15 years ago. Why are they not all still on the shelf?!? It's a disgrace! The giant pretzel goldfish was my favorite!
