@bimmy-lee Bummer. I can sympathize with eye pain, though the worst I've had is some bruising, a couple of black eyes, and a surface scratch at one point. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Thanks friends. There was talk of eyeball stitches for a few hours, which I ultimately avoided. That sounded to me like a scene from a Saw movie. Just need to keep antibiotic ointment slathered in my eye to hopefully avoid infection and see an opthamologist for the next couple days. If it had to happen, I guess I lucked out. I posted this with my bad eye closed Dr. Invadeel. Sorry I one upped you today.

@bimmy-lee Well hope it’s not too bad. Experiencing bleeding from your eye sounds like a traumatic experience.

@bimmy-lee That's how trees are going to begin their takeover of the planet, but I know the tree I planted in the 4th grade won't betray me, I read it bed time stories when it was only a seed.

Also, hope the recovery = Gotta go fast!

Great. And I thought all we had to worry about was the robots. Now the trees are trying to kill us too. I don’t even have a fireplace and am a horrible carpenter. I need to make that clear.

Stitches are usually a lot better for the end result.

But yeah, eye stitches doesn't sound too pleasing.

@bimmy-lee Oh goodness that sounds awful! I hope you heal up soon! And I agree, eyeball stitches do sound like a scene from a Saw movie or a means of torture. I can't even handle contact lenses, the idea of putting a needle near my eye sounds like a nightmare!

(Sorry about not replying to all the bigger articles, but it's one of those times the more interesting the conversation the more time I want to spend in it, and actually shouldn't, so I kind of defer it and end up stepping out and missing the great convo until the topic swings around again. Otherwise I'd be diagnosed as "solving the crisis of human misery addiction" )

@NEStalgia Well, EVERYONE having one eye... That's a bit of an over-exaggeration, but I will agree with you, that there does certainly seem to be some kind of continuous "eye-theme" going on in this thread...

Thanks again everyone, you’re all awesome. It feels a lot better today, but looks a lot worse. It looks like Rocky’s eye after the first Clubber Lang fight. It’s not all a loss, I was able to watch Return of The Swamp Thing and I Was a Teenage Zombie yesterday with one eye closed. Good stuff.

@ThanosReXXX Yep, over the years. The first one was when I was in the 3-5 age range. A park near where I grew up had rocket swings, and I was playing chicken by running in front of them like a couple of other kids. One of the rockets won; it poked me right in the eye. It was swollen shut for a few days.

This thread is seriously inducing my gag reflex......where is Ryu...you kids need to go play with her.
