@bimmy-lee Yep, definitely plenty of time left! I'm only off one other day this month, which is the 26th. I'll have to get up early for a flight the next morning and didn't want to be too sleep-deprived.
Besides Friday and Saturday this coming weekend, we're also open a couple of hours Thursday for our half price night. We're typically open 7:30 to 11:30 most evenings.
@ThanosReXXX Hah, maybe they need to invent foalshoes.
That's not the first time I've seen the two of you disagree on something. You'll work past it and/or just agree to disagree lol. I wouldn't stay up at night worrying about it though.
I was looking at a news article about a new Lincoln luxury sedan that cost over 116 thousand dollars and I was just blown away. The only real function that the car could do, that my rusty 1996 Taurus could not, was to connect via bluetooth to your smartphone. All the rest of the cost was just in fancy leather seats, more horsepower than you'll ever need on any city street, and fancy trim and such.
Oh, and I guess it had heated seats too, so there's that I guess.
To me, buying a car like that is the same thing as wearing a bright yellow t-shirt that has "look at me" printed on it. And it's not an investment either, cars hold their value as well as a napkin holds water...

@Heavyarms55 - That’s a lot of money, but comparing your ‘96 Taurus and a ‘19 vehicle of any kind is basically akin to saying there’s little difference between WWII twin prop bombers and stealth fighter jets. Just the advancements in safety features alone is staggering. Not to mention huge advancements in fuel and emissions efficiency. Luxury lines actually hold their value pretty well in the second hand market.
@bimmy-lee Not at all. Stealth fighters provide a huge array of functionality that a WW2 era prop bomber simply did not do. From speed and maneuverability they can actually use, to the namesake stealth functions, modern sensor packages, communication systems and travel range are all massively improved. But my 96 Taurus and a the luxury sedan are not nearly the same thing. The newer vehicle gets almost the same gas mileage, has a similar sized gas tank and thus can drive approximately as far. Frankly I don't find the improvements in safety features at all relevant because they have not had meaningful impacts on driver safety. Driver safety depends almost entirely on the competence of the driver and other drivers.
But even setting aside my old junker, the cost compared to an ordinary 2019 sedan is still massively higher and the comparison far worse. The luxury car offers next to nothing in functionality over a regular sedan of the same year - all that added cost is purely for looks. Things like real leather seats, not synthetic, and such.
Sometimes I feel like the wealthy live in a different world, where spending almost more on a car than the median income of a person would make in 3 years is considered worth it. Especially when all that extra cost is purely for appearance's sake. Then again I would consider myself wealthy, compared to a lot of people who aren't at that level that I am. (which is low-middle by Japan or American standards) there are literally millions of people who would probably look at my spending habits and be horrified.
Still I feel like the jump from low income to my level is minuscule when compared to the jump from my level to the elite. There are people who would look at that 116 thousand dollar sedan and brush it off as cheap - people like Betsy DeVos with 10 private yachts. Or people who have private warehouses with collections of Ferrari and other super expensive vehicles.

@Heavyarms55 - Every advancement you listed for a stealth jet over a prop bomber applies directly to the advancements in vehicle technology. Every single one.
Watched Joker today, what a phenomenal movie. I don't think DC can ever top this! This is a movie in my humble opinion will stand the test of time or will age like fine wine.
Poor Arthur, just thinking about what happened to him makes me feel depressed.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
@bimmy-lee If you say so, you're entitled to that. I see nothing that warrants the cost and none of those improvements in terms of automobiles at all. Aircraft have improved dramatically over the decades, cars have not. They do the same thing in different ways perhaps, but that's nothing or merit to the consumer. It's the reason why I see no reason to buy a new car beyond concern over wear and tear due to age and use.
Mario Kart World Tour is ftp (with obvious in-app purchases), @Ninfan & @NintendoByNature I tried it a bit & controls are fine. Dunno if you'd hit a paywall eventually
@theFox Yeah, you came over little after the Switch Lite came out so it pretty much took over as the first haldheld of choice in the initial flash...😯
BTW I'm recently replaying Project X Zone 2 and Tokyo is the best place to enjoy the vibe of it too😉
Nintendo History🎮: Game and Watch> Original Game Boy with Tetris> GBASP (NES Edition)>DS Lite,Wii>2010s=3DSXL (Super Smash Bros. Ed.🇪🇺)/New 3DSXL (SNES Ed.🇯🇵) Feel free to add me, just lemme know👍🏾
@MsJubilee I am relieved to hear that movie did well. I was very worried because I haven't liked most of DC's live action films for a long time. (Their animated films I tend to love!)

@Heavyarms55 - I’m not challenging the economics of buying new versus buying used, and I certainly don’t think any Lincoln is a value at $100k+. I wouldn’t even want a vehicle at that cost because I’d be too nervous to drive it anywhere. Automobiles are only ever going to drive on the road to get you places, but the advancements they’ve made to that process in the last 25 years is staggering to the point that there probably hasn’t been a more obvious stretch of innovation since we ditched horses for motors.
