@ScottNintendo I said MOST non-native Italians. Not me, though: I eat a lot of pasta and Italian dishes, so rest assured that I know the difference, but much like the whole stereotype thing that we were all discussing a couple of back, that's simply how most outsiders will see it. Short-sighted yes, but that's people for you...
@Tyranexx Darn, woman, my comment was meant to NOT make you talk about that pizza anymore...
And what's with the whole Mario-ception that you and @bimmy-lee are talking about? Maybe some people here need to stay off the 'shrooms themselves...
@DenDen John Wick IS a great movie. There's some fun references/Easter Eggs in it as well. For example, the whole "I'm thinking I'm back" was also kind of a sarcastic nod to his critics, who pretty much labeled him as well as his career as a has-been. Would have backfired if the movie had bombed, though, but luckily it didn't, so now the joke is on the critics.
Sorry, I’ll only do this one time, go Colts! I was compelled.
@ThanosReXXX - Whoops, that must have been a little bit of college coming loose and bubbling to the surface.
@Anti-Matter - That’s pretty funny. I’ve heard of those List City flower spores. It’s the only place you can get them. A Sherpa has to take you to a shaman.
Whew! I was on my feet for over an hour spinning some Pokestops downtown while getting a good workout in. I think I've earned some manga and a small Kirby session here at home.
@ThanosReXXX Eh, fine. I love my "Italian" pies though....
It was pretty late when I posted about the 'shroom thing (just after midnight here), so let's blame that.
Edit: oh I get it now, it's not like a set price, it's more like a draw to get the phone. It says if I don't get it I'll be refunded though, so that's ok.
I remember back in the day, I wanted a phone that was Yami Yugi's hair, so whenever the phone rang, you would have to wear said hair to answer the phone.
The irony is I still want that to be revved up plz.
I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!
I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!
I just finished playing through the Dragon Quest 11: Echos of a really long title demo and I have to say that I am totally sold! Initially I was looking into it because Dragon Quest is one of those quintessential JRPG series that was just supposed to be good - but that somehow I had never played despite loving the genre...
But I got sucked in real good with this demo! I gotta say that was one meaty demo! People were saying it was about 10 hours long but I finished it in a little over 8 and I definitely wasn't rushing. Maybe the ten assumes you're gonna stop and fight every single enemy you come across - but that seems really unnecessary to me. Even skipping over a bunch I still felt like I might be grinding a little too much. But sometimes it's just easier to kill the monsters, than to avoid them.
At first I was thinking it was really heavily a game for little kids, because of the art style and at first glance, super simple fantasy story. Then I got to the scene where the MC returns to his home town and... okay, that was really dark.
Very excited to get back into the game when the full package releases later this month!
On another note, I just broke the armrest off my chair. Dammit!

@bimmy-lee Ah, don't worry about it. I wasn't exactly a choir boy either, and you know in which city I went to school, so nuff said...
@Tyranexx Oh, make no mistake, I love pizza, but I try to eat them as little as possible, seeing as they're not exactly healthy, and I have a tendency to bulk up in the wrong places, if I eat too much fast food. And besides:
if I eat it less often, it actually tastes even better if I finally eat one again...
@Heavyarms55 Typing "Echos of a really long title" is even longer than "Echos of an Elusive Age", so you could have saved yourself a bit of an effort there.
But all kidding aside, glad you enjoyed the demo. I was already a fan of the series, so I've been looking forward to this game ever since it was first announced for the Switch. It was quite a wait, but it was definitely worth it.
On a side note: I hope you didn't break that arm rest of your chair due to some intense playing sessions, otherwise you may have to select a different, more sturdy (or soft) type of furniture to settle down in before you get into the game.
As for the duration of the demo: if you fulfill all of the side quests, you can easily reach 10 hours. If you just stick to your own main quest, then I'd say that 7.5 to 8 hours will probably be what's on the clock once you're finished. If you stop and finish off every enemy you come across, then it'll basically become the Never Ending Story, seeing as they continuously respawn, as you will have noticed by now.
@ThanosReXXX I looked around for all the side quests I could find and could not find any more. shrug
And it's not just Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age, it's Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition. I'm surprised they didn't add "version 2.0 deluxe: Kai" at the end. lol

@Heavyarms55 You forgot the S that's exclusive to the Switch edition...
But kinda impressive, if you managed to do all there is to do in the game, and have almost 2 hours to spare. Maybe you just have a knack for these types of games, or for finding the quickest routes to get to your objectives.
I usually tend to get a bit lost, even with a map (and it's even worse with non-rotating maps), especially in large areas or cities. For instance: once I was in the city, it actually took me quite a while to find my way back to the guy who asked me to look for a book, once I finally got into the home that the book was in.
When I got back out, I couldn't exactly remember anymore how to get from there to where he was supposed to be. Eventually I did find him, but stuff like that adds quite a few minutes to my overall play time. As I always jokingly say: I have the directional control of a broken homing pigeon...
On a side note: I also spend a lot of time in the field, tracking and backtracking, because even though I don't particularly like grinding, I know it's going to do me a world of good in later areas, once I get the full game, so better bulk and level up as much as you can, and try and find and/or buy the best gear before moving on to the harder parts of the game.
