Fred Rechid would be DAh cameraman in said movie production, it was one of his occupations DAT he had.

....YOU GO FRED!!!

I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!

I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!

Note to self: Do not equip any more weapons with the word "Demon" in the title to a character when playing a Shining Force game.

No matter how cool the idea sounds.

@Tyranexx Yeah, that's good advise for all RPGs. How are you liking Sword of Hajya? I've seen it in the eShop and always wanted it but have never gotten it.

@Fooligan: It started off slow and the dialogue seemed to be a bit generic at first, so much so that I almost stopped playing. However, after the first third/half of the game, I feel that it really picks up. The maps are now more interesting, grinding/egressing/promoting has its benefits (I'm not resetting maps nearly as much, though part of it is because I could finally stop using a squishy healer), and the plot is becoming better.

This is my first Shining Force game, so needless to say I'm not very familiar with the series. XD I'm still not overly fond of the random character turn order, though the fact that enemies can't retaliate when your current unit is attacking helps alleviate that somewhat. I think I've been a bit spoiled by Fire Emblem.

Currently, I'd probably rate the game a low to mid-range seven. I'd say it's worth a look if you're into strategy games and don't go into it expecting something too similar to FE. I think that was initially part of my problem since I downloaded the game back when I first discovered my love of SRPGs through Awakening.

That's kind of funny. I got into SRPGs because of Shining Force. I played the second one when I was like 9 or 10 and I still consider it one of my favorite games. It came in a collection of Sega games for pc with sonic 2, comix zone, flicky and a couple other games that I found at k-mart. That's part of the reason I don't want to try this game because if it disappoints me I feel somehow my childhood will be ruined. I knows that sounds dumb since it's not the same game but, I don't know...

I don't remember much about Sword of Hajya. I bought it when it came out on eShop and beat it very quickly. It was worth playing but nowhere near as good as Shining Force 1 and especially 2. I'm starting to hear Shining Force music in my head just by thinking about it. I should play all of them again.

You know you're getting old when students keep calling this '#' symbol a 'hashtag', and you have to explain them that it's a number sign...

I thought it was the Tic-Tac-Toe layout.

It's named after the game according to Wikipedia.

Cats can't play Tic-tac-toe though, unless Spanish cats are a lot smarter...

I can think of at least four different things that share the name cat. I guess whoever made the language just liked cats.

I had to take a look at its official Finnish term since the term I've always heard is "risuaita" which translates to "stick fence". Apparently, its actual name is "ristikkomerkki" meaning "grid sign". Makes more sense but I've never heard anyone use it before.

Overall, I am enjoying my time with Sword of Hajya at this point. According to the review here, the game is set roughly two decades after Shining Force II. It looks like I'll have to try the earlier games at some point.

...Going back to the Demon Rod, I didn't realize that cursed weapons were actually a thing in this series until it was too late. Tbh I didn't even pay attention to the name of the item much, only the increased attack power. XD

I've always heard # called the number or pound sign.

Luna_110

There was a discussion about how to call the # when #FE came out.... A lot of people were calling it a hashtag but since it was used in a musical setting, it was a sharp. It seems it has a lot of names.

I have a chronic lack of time, for everything.

Now playing: Okami HD, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
