I saw Apocalypse Now a few nights ago (it was one of the most amazing things I'd ever seen), and I just thought, they're aren't really any odyssey-style adventure games, are there? Ones that involve you getting from point A to point B with things happening at along the way. It'd be interesting to play one.
I'll be watching "A Simple Plan" soon, but, like all movies I have to watch for english, I presume this will as well be bad.

"If my calculations are correct when this sucker reachers 88 mph, you’re going to see some serious sh*t"
The funniest thing is, when they showed the film on Disney Channel here awhile ago, they ommited the "serious sh*t" line, so Doc says "When this sucker reaches 88 miles per hour" and then instantly pauses, continuing to gaze lovingly into Marty's eyes for a few seconds.
The thing I find funny about Back to the Future is that it's clearly a PG-13 rated movie, because of the content, but for some odd reason it was just passed on as a PG rated one. And that movie came out in 1985, a year after the PG-13 rating was born (after Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was released).
I'm gonna be watching Scott Pilgrim vs. the World next weekend. Been looking forward to it since March.
I got free tickets to see that but I couldn't go, so sad.

@Terra - usually PG movies don't use a lot of language (they only use a little of it, if any). But, I guess that's how it was back in the '80s. Maybe I'm just thinking too much of how today's PG and PG-13 movies are.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack (movie) - As the Ending chapter in the original Gundam saga, it was pretty good. It tied up a number of loose ends, and Amuro, Captain Bright, and Char are all in top form. Not mention the Mecha were some of the best I've ever seen in the series, and there was a lot of attention to detail in the animation. To put it simply, it was a fitting ending for such a great series.
As a Movie, though, it could've been a lot better. The characters were poorly fleshed out, and it leaves as many questions as it does answers. The plot moves far too fast and skips around too much, making it very difficult to follow. Apparently it was based on a novel, and they tried to put too much into the movie, yet still it wasn't enough. Honestly, this shouldn't have been a movie, it should've been a series in and of itself, even if it's just an OVA. I might have to read the novel now, just to make sense of what I just watched.
Mobile Suit Gundam F91 (Movie) - I got this one along with Char's Couterattack just to get a discount on shipping, and I'm actually very glad I got it. As a movie, it faired a lot better than CCa, with better characterization and a well-paced plot (though it does skip around a lot towards the middle making an entire third of the movie nigh incomprehensible). It was also very good story in and of itself, with great characters some powerful emotional moments, and at least somewhat believably evil badguys. Oh, and the Mechs and animation were all top-notch as well. My only real quams with the movie are that A) it wasn't a full series, not only because it would've made a much better closing chapter in the U.C. Universe than Victory Gundam did, but also because B) The movie didn't have a real ending. It just said "This is not the End" and then the credits roll. If you want to know the rest of the story, you gotta read the novels and the sequel Manga.
@Nintenzo: I don't believe that happens in any of the three films. You really should see them though. :3
I saw Scott Pilgrim last night. I hear it was last in the box office (for new releases, overall it came in 5th) but it got more positive feedback than The Expendables and Eat, Pray, Love. It deserves that kind of respect. (|3
God, I've watched so many movies this summer. The best were Fantastic Mr. Fox (I loved everything about it, plot, music, animation, humour), Hot Fuzz (older movie, it is was seriously such an awesome movie in every way), and Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World (definitely did the books justice, and just kicked all sorts of ass everywhere).

Fantastic Mr. Fox was indeed... well... Fastastic. I have yet to see Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, but I jut finished the comics and they were nothing short of fantastic. If the movie's anywhere near the quality of the books, I think I've got a new favorite movie of all-time.
If any one wants to know what getting impaled with a long sword, lit on fire, and tumbling down a rocky slope all at the same time feels like, watch Old Dogs with Robin Williams and John Travolta...

Last film I saw at the cinema was Slumdog Millionaire, and it was awesome. Flower, flower, screw in the lightbulb! (anyone who get's that reference deserves a cookie). The last film I saw at home was This is Spinal Tap, as I sat there, wishing that I knew someone "cool" enough to buy tickets to see the world tour with me this June...
Oh I loved Slumdog Millionaire! No one else I know has seen it, so they always look at me like "wtf?" I'm glad to see that someone else has enjoyed it, too Never even heard of the second one you mentioned though :/
Ah, Monty Python. I've watched some of The Meaning of Life and Flying Circus, but my all-time favorite will forever be The Holy Grail. I've probably watched that movie 10+ times.

Congrats, the books were insanely awesome. Check out some stuff here for some cool extra little comics O'Malley did (at the bottom). And trust me, you will enjoy the movie. It takes a lot of the books to stay faithful, yet adds enough of its' own awesomeness to still make it fresh.
Just saw Scott Pilgrem and The Other Guys. Both are extremely good. The Other Guys is a brilliant laugh-a-minute comedy and Scott Pilgrem is an amazingly unique, sharply written visual spectacle that defines our generation. Both are must-sees
