hmmmmm..... I don't have high expectations for this week. It will be hard to even come close to toucheing the greatness of the Ricardus episode. I expect a few tasty bits here and there though.

Just over two hours to go! Sadly, no enhanced replay of last week's episode! I guess it's due to the extended length of the episode.

EDIT: I haven't seen any "next time on LOST" promos, but the on-screen guide seems to indicate this may be a Jin-Sun centric episode. But like the almighty Tomena Sanner god said, i'm sure there will be nuggets of gold even if it's a "slow" episode.

Plus, the return of V tonight! I hope they can keep that series on track; the first 4 eps were quite good (of course, with my insane fandom of the original V as a kid, i'd still love it regardless).

@JayArr Agreed. That last episode was Hollywood high-budget-movie-with-an-amazing-director worthy!

I've watched it three times now and can't fault it. I think it's my new fave!

I just noticed in this episode when the flash to the ATL there is a plane sound effect.

ATL stuff : The russian.....shot in the eye! OMG what is going to happen with shot Sun!?

Island stuff: I loved the throwback to season 1 feel of Sun not speaking english. Jin seeing his daughter was powerful. More Kate Death foreshadowing. Then there was The Package! What role does our boy Desmond have to play!?

All in all good stuff.......preview for next week looked magnificent as well.

Last night was a good episode. I would not call it one of the best.
What I don't get is is that all that happened is that they simply made the plane land safely right? Then how did Ben, and Mikhail (the russian who killed charlie and practically died 3 times) end up in the "real world"?
Sun was very interesting in this episode for sure. Hope that she survives the shot that got her.
Did anyone catch what Sun said on the note when Jack asked why she didnt go with Locke?

Great episode; a lot more "meat" in this one than expected!

DES IS BACK! So it was a "who" in the locked room! Now i wonder, does Des being here and Widmore's looking for the EM pockets have a connection? Methinks yes!

MIB and Widmore's conversation? Sweet. I'm wondering now too, even if Widmore is against MIB, is he really on the side of Jacob/Illana/The Candidates? Or is he playing his own game?

Did y'all catch the moment where ATL Sun looked in the mirror and gave a little pause (like Jack had in the premeire)? I'm still going in circles over the ATL-OT connection ... or maybe they're not directly connected at all (eg, not caused by a time-line change or whatever), but are fully independent universes that have played out differently for whatever reasons.

And yes, i was very nearly in tears during the scene with Jin finally seeing pictures of his daughter. Great job by Daniel Dae Kim. Hell, everyone have really stepped up their acting game this season, and considering that most of the cast were already great actors, that's saying a lot!

After a buncha eps that were awesome but had little real plot development, this one really got things moving.

I have to apologise to the shpydar, you've been blasting this thread with all your theories and I've hardly been commenting at all. Trust me I read them, I just think (finally) I'm all theoried out. Just sitting back now and waiting to see what happens. Which, this week... was really really good. Feels like S6 has found a sweet spot between S1 and S4, which is a good place to be, charging forward whilst reminiscing.

Methinks it's gonna set us up for some epic revelations. I can't wait! Though again, I feel sad while I watch, knowing that every minute I do so bring us closer to the end. That didn't stop me from being absolutely gripped throughout, a great episode!

I'll comment further when I've soaked it all up (aka watched it again). Oh, and does anybody else really really wanna punch this face...

I think Widmore has his own agenda. Can't wait to see what though, it seems like it's going to be huge. He made the Lockness Monster look like a punk......for now. Muahahahahahah

No worries, 'Chu. i just like blasting them out of my head to make room for more. With all the connections to past events coming fast and furious now, theories fly out of all my orifices. Can make the living room a tad messy on Tuesday nights, though! =)

So glad Desmond is back, finally. It was almost comical the moment where he and Sayid are looking at each other, awesome! And yep, Keamy is a great villan. Just pure "i hate this guy!" coming off him. And he might stay alive in the ATL since we know now that Sayid didn't kill him outright!

Actually Funky, I think they changed it so Jacob and the whole island was killed in 1977. So if Jacob really touched that many people it is possible lives would be drastically different.
And crazy theory and pretty messed up, but could Sun survive the gunshot wound to the stomach if she was pregnant. It just ran through my mind so dont get mad at me anyone.
I read a little bit above and I am almost positive that Widmore's side is the good side. Their actions may be flawed but I think its for the right idea. FLocke seemed very sinister to me in this episode, did anybody else catch on to that?

He's been sinister for some time. Ever since he ripped the pilot out of the cockpit actually. He is evil incarnate, and if he is released upon the world... "everyone will cease to be". I liked that line.

Yeah, loved the "cease to be" line. He didn't say "dead" -- could Charles mean the ATL? Is that what the ATL is? If MIB escapes, maybe that creates an entirely new reality ...

Next week looks really good. With so few (sob!) episodes left, you know the body count has to start soon ...

Widmore is not on anyones side. All he wants is o take over the island. This is his second attemt.

I agree. I think he's working against MIB, but to his own ends. But what is his endgame? Does he want to just control the Island, or does he want to replace Jacob? And how much does he know about what's "really" going on with the Candidates, the "cork", etc? One thing is for sure, it will be way interesting once Widmore and Ben encounter each other again, i'm looking forward to that moment.

I agree, I'm pretty certain Widmore wants control of 'his island', so as to take advantage of its unique properties. I think he is also aware of the dangers MIB could bring to the world. When answering Smocke's question (do you know who I am?), he mentioned legend and myth. Very funkin' cool!

And the bleeding from one reality to another is more prominent now. Sun is unable to speak English in the ATL having had no reason to learn (not married to Jin, no reason to run away), that has bled into island time, possibly, or it could just be what Jack said. The two timelines seem linked somehow, and it's gonna be fascinating to see how.

Bad news btw... LOST will be taking a break on April 27th, for one week. :/

edit: @shpyder: I watched BSG: The Plan last night, and absolutely loved it! It was sad to see it go, again, for good this time, but it really is worth a watch. Have you?

I started watching The Plan a little while ago, but was torn away from it due to annoying people making my telephone ring and causing me to ingest large amounts of alchohol. What i saw (i think the first 20 min or so) was awesome -- it's currently sitting on my pile of DVDs to watch (which is only outdone by my game backloggery). I always hesitate watching it -- it's that whole "i don't want it to end!" thing.

And for some reason i can't stop watching the Hitman film over and over. It's not really that great a film, but the cast is excellent (Timothy Olyphant, Robert Knepper, Dougray Scott), and as a huge fan of the franchise i enjoy the film a lot -- not to mention Olga Kurleyenko is insanely hot.

Back to LOST, i don't think Sun in the ATL does know English. The tell-tale is in the scene at the bank, where she doesn't react at all to the banker saying the account is closed and such until there's been a translation from Mikhail (awesome to see Mikhail the Unstoppable Russian again!) Unless i missed something, i'm pretty sure she doesn't speak English at all.
I'm thinking more and more that the "mirror scenes" that have popped up in each of the ATLs are the key -- Jack and Sun both had those deja-vu-ish moments, Kate peeped herself when going through Claire's bag (if memory serves), Sawyer punched the mirror ....
LOST taking a break? I thought the whole point of starting when they did was to go non-stop until the end! Meh, s'okay, it delays the sad reality of the show ending, i guess!

Last Nights Episode was awesome! One of the best for sure.
Any episode with Desmond is always exciting!

I am a bit confused how Daniel Faraday is now Daniel Widmore and is now a musician. And how Eloiseis now Eloise Faraday. (if I heard corectly).
I think that they will leave the island, but will return. Very interesting what Daniel said, "What if we were supposed to have different lives?" and his other quote, "I think I already set an automic bomb off"
There is no way that they can sum it all up.
