...you do gotta admit, it gets the juices flowing. Quite why Nintendo ever referred to being able to use 2 gamepads with 1 Wii U unless they always had plans to implement this sort of stuff I'll never know. These leaks are always fake, aren't they? But as fake leaks go, it's quite a nice one.
I find it mostly believable, but the cartridge slot in the new gamepad, Mother 3 localization, and Battle Arenas for MK8, all sound a little too unlikely to me.
Like the sound of that Animal Crossing though, being able to travel the whole world would be nice.
Does anyone think Nintendo would benefit by dropping a pre-E3 bomb like Bethesda did? I know it would get me excited as my hype has pretty much died since Zelda U got delayed and not liking what I saw from the Persona knockoff that is supposedly a crossover between Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem.
I doubt it. While I'm not convinced that revealing Fallout 4 before their E3 conference was the right move, Bethesda now has the opportunity to raise awareness of their conference by promising/teasing more footage from the game. Nintendo has been doing E3 Nintendo Directs for several years now, so anybody who wants to watch Nintendo during E3 already knows what channels to pay attention to. Nintendo doesn't need to raise awareness for their E3 plans, whereas Bethesda definitely does, especially since it's their first time ever doing an E3 conference.

You know, I don't wanna read that article... so that I won't be spoiled anything. I do want a new Wii U revision as well as a revamped Wii U OS. PLZ, NINTHENDOH!!!
@gcunit Yeah, parts of that rumor are very far-fetched. I'm not convinced that Nintendo will start with Star Fox U, even if everybody knows that it has to make an appearance. Also, the fact that absolutely nothing was mentioned of Xenoblade Chronicles X makes me think that "Leak" is made up.
ALSO: Nintendo would never release another Wii U gamepad that also acts as a backward compatibility device for the DS and 3DS. Maybe Nintendo would release a USB-powered device that could read DS cards, but I doubt that Nintendo would package it in with a Wii U gamepad and that it would be able to read 3DS cards.

Don't worry, it's as fake as a leak can be...
Honestly, just look at this:
Mario Kart 8 DLC
Mario Kart 8 Battle Arenas
Mother 3
Dual GamePad support
Paper Mario
Metroid Prime 4
Mario Sunshine HD
GamePad that plays DS/3DS games (which isn't even possible...) AND has better battery
Online co-op for Splatoon...
Blah blah blah...
Someone browsed the internet for complaints about Nintendo and provided a ''solution'' to all of them.
I would have thought the Nathan Drake Collection would have been one of Sony's big E3 reveals. I wonder if they have another? My money is on God of War 4, which makes me sad, because I have such little interest in that series.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)

So I think it's fake as well, but I have to give the leaker a lot of credit for trying to make it believable. He gave a lot of detail, and stuck to mostly reasonable announcements (No Metroid in 2016, no F-Zero,etc). The stuff with the Wii U Gamepad + was brilliant.
That said, the straw that breaks the camel's back for me is the part about analog triggers. Nintendo omitted them, and I think they are going to stick to their guns at least for the rest of the generation.
If this leak is true, I'm going to be very sad. Spoilers suck
Yeah it's a bit surprising that Sony revealed Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection before E3. Most people were expecting it, but a collection of remasters isn't something they can get away with announcing early unless they have something else. Bethesda's situation is different as they can get away with announcing Fallout 4 early as the promise of gameplay will continue the hype anyways. Nintendo was also able to get away with the pre-E3 announcements they made because a lot of them were smaller things like Dr Mario or Art Academy, as well as Mario & Sonic at the Rio Olympics which was a game everyone knew was coming but didn't want taking up a lot of time in the Digital Event.

If they were going to do that, they would've in the Mini Direct.
Isn't that what the Mini Direct was suppose to be but it got out bombed by Fallout?
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
I wouldn't say it was out-bombed. The games Nintendo announced are still exciting and they don't cross over into the fallout playspace...ensuring that both companies get my money. That said I'll be reinstalling 3 this weekend to get me back hyped...I like new vegas but not enough to drop another 300 hours into it.
I really really need Nintendo to announce a 3ds player for the wiiu. No home console is better setup for this and its just money left on the table. Granted, I have no idea how difficult this would be for them but I'm pretty sure at least in the west they would recoup their money.

Bombed out was probably the wrong phrase. I just meant how the Mini Direct was Nintendo trying to get people excited for E3 but Fallout kinda stole its thunder. The Mini Direct was still awesome but no one is talking about it anymore, everyone is focused on Fallout 4.

To be fair, the Mini Direct was for getting the small stuff (hence the short puns/jokes) out of the way, so I don't think Nintendo minds too much. The biggest (or should I say smallest ) things from the Mini Direct were Chibi-Robo and that Bravely Second is coming to the west. Nintendo doesn't have to worry too much as they can just use Directs later on to get people excited for those games again.
If Ryu is in Smash Bros, capcom needs to reward Wii U owners with a Capcom game. SSF IV ultra, RE, Capcom vs Nintendo. Something... Personally If it is not Capcom VS Nintendo, I would like an Orange Box style game from Capcom. SF IV, RE, and some third game would be cool.
How about the Mega Man X Collection released on the Wii U eShop?

i do agreed that idea of the Animal Crossing sounds great,

This "leak" fell dead in its tracks the moment it claimed the new GamePad would have a DS/3DS slot.

I don't think that was the point. I think they just wanted to get the little stuff out of the way so they have room to talk about bigger games at E3. Notice how they didn't drop any bombshell announcements in the Mini Direct? They want to save the big stuff for E3.
