I wouldn't say it was out-bombed. The games Nintendo announced are still exciting and they don't cross over into the fallout playspace...ensuring that both companies get my money. That said I'll be reinstalling 3 this weekend to get me back hyped...I like new vegas but not enough to drop another 300 hours into it.

Bombed out was probably the wrong phrase. I just meant how the Mini Direct was Nintendo trying to get people excited for E3 but Fallout kinda stole its thunder. The Mini Direct was still awesome but no one is talking about it anymore, everyone is focused on Fallout 4.

I don't think that was the point. I think they just wanted to get the little stuff out of the way so they have room to talk about bigger games at E3. Notice how they didn't drop any bombshell announcements in the Mini Direct? They want to save the big stuff for E3.

I am not saying they were trying to make as big of an impact as the Fallout 4 reveal but I still think the Mini Direct was to try to create hype for the E3 presentation, and its thunder was stolen by the huge announcement of Fallout.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I still don't get why Pokken is on the list of predictions the arcade game isn't even out in japan yet. Were other fighting games by namco announced to be coming to consoles before the arcade release? I always thought they waited awhile after the game came out.

Doesn't mean they have to wait

Fair enough I just thought they just let the game settle a bit and improve it later on the console.

Well, I take back saying Nintendo should drop a pre-E3 bomb. I'm not a Sony fan but the announcement of the Uncharted collection (while we all knew it was coming) makes me expect even less from them. If Nintendo did the same thing, it would have probably had the same effect. The mini-direct was probably better anyway so they can focus on larger titles during the digital event.

Pokken tournament comes out this July, so next month. The E3 date would be close to release, but I still doubt they would talk about it at E3. The arcades need to earn back a profit off the machines, so announcing a console release date before the arcade release would create bad blood for Bandai Namco. Granted it'd be a NA announcement who can't play it anyways, but it still seems unlikely they would do that.

The Nintendo E3 Miiverse Community might come in a couple of days! Thoughts?

That locked "leak" (huge quotations necessary) thread brought up an interesting idea. A revised pro controller/gamepad with analog triggers. That would be amazing. Of course, it's most likely fake. But it's always fun to imagine what it'd be like if it were true.

It would be a nightmare, because it would hurt all the gamers with a regular Gamepad. You can't replace those.

No more of a nightmare than the wiimote+. Some games would be exclusive to it. Or maybe not. The leak says you'd be able to buy the gamepads at the store.

Being able to buy Gamepads at stores is something that should've happened years ago. You shouldn't have to buy a new home console to replace a controller!

...you do gotta admit, it gets the juices flowing. Quite why Nintendo ever referred to being able to use 2 gamepads with 1 Wii U unless they always had plans to implement this sort of stuff I'll never know. These leaks are always fake, aren't they? But as fake leaks go, it's quite a nice one.

I find it mostly believable, but the cartridge slot in the new gamepad, Mother 3 localization, and Battle Arenas for MK8, all sound a little too unlikely to me.

Like the sound of that Animal Crossing though, being able to travel the whole world would be nice.

This "leak" fell dead in its tracks the moment it claimed the new GamePad would have a DS/3DS slot.

yeah that leak pretty much killed me for this come true no way in right mind would Nintendo ever add Backward Compatibility for 3DS on Wii U (A): that kills the 3DS and no point of it happening, why would Nintendo make an eshop for 3ds games in first place just make backwards comparability or even have a "3ds"?
and there really no point of DS games getting a compatibility for wii u you can just buy the games to play on 3DS or play certin ones from Wii U eshop

I don't find the idea so laughable. It would lead to more 3DS software sales and in turn would lead to more 3DS hardware sales when people who hadn't previously owned one realise they'd like to get in on the portable action.

Doesn't mean I believe it's going to happen, but I don't think it's such a bad idea.

Lol, unless it was that blurred image of a different game pad in that Mario Kart 8 advertisement.

That wasn't a different GamePad, that was just bad editing.

I hope they have more than this. But, I think you have the most rational list I have seen.
