That goes without saying, since it's one of the few deep Mangas I've ever noticed come from there. I'm actually quite surprised. I probably should give it a read someday, but I'm too lazy for that.
Psyren is also pretty deep. It has a rather complex plot full of mystery and time travel. BUT, the greatest thing to come out of Shonen Jump is Hunter X Hunter, IMO. Fantastic characters, Nen (the fighting ability stuff) is actually based on a real belief and as such it feels very real, and all the fights are chock full of strategy. AND on top of all that, Gon is the best Shonen lead of all time. He has that hyper personality and follows his dreams and all of that, but unlike others Gon grows through FAILURE. Instead of getting his butt kicked and developing a super awesome special attack, he gets back up again and keeps going. I can count the number of times he's come out on top on my hands and I've long lost track of his failures. That makes him a very real character and I love him to death.

I'm back! Graphic novels/manga I'm looking to get rid of (whether that be selling on the cheap, trading, or giving away excluding shipping) include Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts: CoM, Death Note 1-2, One Piece 1-2, Naruto 1-2,Yugioh 1-3, D Gray Man 1-3. There are others but lets start with that. If really interested, PM via Backloggery and we can figure something out.
@popyman-yeah, I really liked HxH until the ENglish translation started takign way too long (a year in-between volumes.) It's the author's fault wih his multiple hiatuses, although they apparently come from health problems. I think I stopped buying HxH at volume 23, and stopped reading a few after that, never finishing the damned Ant story arc.

I think My lack of interest in Shonen Jump comes from it's very name: It's all Shonen material. Like a more complex version of a super hero comic book. They can never hold my attention for more than 10 episodes or the first volume, depending on the format. Even Death Note didn't make it past the mark, but that was due to the fact that I couldn't keep up with its horribly late time slot.
With that said, those shows you mentioned do look incredibly intriguing, and once I get off my high horse, I'll be sure to look into them further. Thank you for bringing them to my attention.

How much might shipping cost and do you live in the United States?

@Objection_Blaster: Yeah man, that bugs me too...But for the longest time it looked like there would be no more HXH at all, so I'll take whatever I can get. XD It sucks though, I'm way to stubborn to read fan translations, I wait for each official English volume. >_< Without spoiling anything, after the Ant Arc, does it look like the plot is moving towards any sort of ending?
@Mickeymac: I know what you mean, but I sort of like that. Sometimes I just want to see some guys beat each up over their dreams. XD But HxH and Psyren really are far more complex than that, but they do start off a tad slow (even more so if you watch the anime version of HxH. It fleshes the beginning story out SO much better but because of that it takes a while to get going...So, start with the manga first).

@Tokyored-I live in the Midwest US and shipping would probably be a couple bucks ($2-3ish) per book. Sorry, but its based on weight. The more I send at a time the cheaper it is per book though. @Popyman-Sorry if it was unclear from my post but I stopped reading before the ending of the Ant Arc, if the Ant Arc has even ended. it just goes on and on, lol.

Oh! Sorry, I read your post wrong. >_< It is a long one, but I like it a lot. It isn't as utterly amazing as the Greed Island arc, but few things are. =P

That's fine Objection_Blaster. I understand shipping as I sell stuff on e-Bay on and off. I'll let you know. I've been looking at bookstores and I've only seen like one or two Kingdom Hearts manga books. I'm willing to pay shipping. I'm just trying to see which ones I can buy at store and which I can't in the stores in my local area.
So what do you guys think of Shonen Jump Magazine's new look, style and redesign?

For people who are looking for a bit of a supernatural and slow anime, I'd recommend Mushi-shi. The english dub for the show is actually not bad and I think the voices fit well with their characters.

Thanks for the recommendation.
I just finished the first DVD of Cowboy Bebop. Great stuff, especially episode 5, since I had missed before. Too bad, too, cuz it had a lot of very important back story to it.
Hot damn, 4 episodes into Gundam 00 Second Season and still loving it. So far it's easily shaping up to be one of my favorite Gundam entries, though I've never really tried to rank them or anything.
Also last night I watched Disk 3 of Moon Phase which is one of my friend's favorite anime. I had initially watched the first 11 episodes a couple of years ago so it's cool to finally get back to it and hopefully finish it this time. Good stuff if you like cute vampires who wear catears.
Then, we opened Pandora's Box and tried out the first four episodes of The Wallflower, and damn was it funny. The absolute BEST example I can think of as to not judge a show by it's cover. Nabeshin being the director helped get over that initial "ehhh not sure" and he delivers in the comedy, definitely.

Anyone recommend any good anime to a Code Geass fan?

Code Geass is pretty much Death Note's basic plot copy and paste'd.

I got Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex box set for Christmas. I'm a little confused though. There's three films in it - The Laughing Man, Individual Eleven, and Solid State Society. Are they related to the original Ghost In The Shell movie? I've watched Ghost In The Shell 1 and seen Ghost In The Shell 2 on the shelf at the library, trying to work out whether these are GITS 1, 2 & 3 or an entirely different set of films under the same/similar canon. Don't have access to a DVD player right now to find out for myself.
Also got the first season of Darker Than Black, which I've never heard of, but it looks quite good. Need to go pick up Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Volume 2 at some point too. ANIME OVERLOAD.
