Well I FINALLY finished the last few episodes of Cowboy Bebop last week (yah, I'm pretty slow with this). Pretty powerful stuff. Now I would really like to see the movie. A friend of mine once told me that the movie took place sometime after the show, but after finishing the show, I now know that that's pretty much impossible. So, I'm guessing the movie takes place sometime in the middle of the show or something?
The show actually seemed to leave off on a cliff-hanger, from what I watched. Honestly, I didn't even realized it was the ending until I saw the first few episodes last night. The movie doesn't sound like it wraps anything up, either. Speaking of which, I'll be going through Cowboy Bebop from start to finish this week, something I've never really done with this series. The Movie's on sale in case anyone's wondering.
Well, I don't know if I would call the ending a cliff-hanger. But it definetly didn't have as much closure as you might expect from an ending, but I guess thats just the nature of the show. Either way it was still pretty amazing, probably the best anime I've seen (though I haven't really seen alot of anime yet, I only started getting into anime a bit more just this year).
What's everybody's favorite anime? Personally, I just happen to have a top ten list right here:
1. Mobile Suit Gundam OVA "Trilogy" (War in the Pocket, Stardust Memories, 08th MS Team) 2. Mobile Suit Gundam 3. Robotech: The Macross Saga 4. Full Metal Alchemist 5. Excel Saga 6. Code Geass R2 7. Mobile Suit Gundam SEED 8. Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam 9. Dragon Ball 10. Hamtaro (Yes, I'm serious)
In no particular order a few of my favorites are: Code Geass (and R2) Death Note Cowboy Bebop Afro Samurai (original series) Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni (and Kai) Ghost in the Shell: SAC (both)
Movies: Princess Mononoke (and most anything Ghibli) Metropolis Ghost in the Shell (movies, but NOT the movie compilations of SAC)

Hopefully this means less gore and fanservice involving children, with a greater emphasis on story, and not evil government squelching creativity and sterilizing all anime and manga. Or worse, the anime industry collapses because those safe sex-sells bets were keeping the industry afloat for years...
Unfortunately, this also most likely means fewer shows in the vein of Highschool of the Dead, Strike Witches, Candy Boy, Queen's Blade, Loveless, and He Is My Master (prays), and more shows like K-On since apparently those moe shows are perfectly safe so long as they lack certain themes.
EDIT: Judging from the sounds of it, Persona 3 may also be in danger...
Not sure I've even watched 10 anime. Maybe I have... guess I'll find out when I finish typing this list xD
1. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time 2. Grave Of The Fireflies 3. Full Metal Alchemist / FMA: Brotherhood 4. Laputa Castle In The Sky 5. Spirited Away 5. Howl's Moving Castle (love these two films equally) 7. Steamboy 8. Appleseed / Appleseed Ex Machina 9. Ocean Waves 10. My Neighbour Totoro
I read the first chapter in Shonen Jump a LONG time ago. I didn't much care for it, but it was pretty short. Does it get better?

I don't really know because I only read the first and second chapter but I'm a fan of the Cowboys and Indians genre anyway so it really appealed to me in that respect and so if you enjoy things like Bonanza, The Rifleman and The Lone Ranger then you might like it.
Yeah, I like Westerns too, but there are just a number of other great anime (Trigun, Outlaw Star, Zombiepowder, etc.) of that genre that do it a lot better than what I've read of Gun Blaze West.

Lately I've been steamrolling though Gundam Double 00, almost through the first half at 4 episodes a day or so, and man is it just as good as any other Gundam show! A couple of the episodes around 18-21 had some really unexpected moments pop up.

I love Gundam 00. I steamrolled through the first season in about 3 days. Really good stuff there. It gets even better with Season 2. One of my favorites in the series, I tell ya, and I can't wait until the movie's on DVD so I can see it..

We're about to go out to various stores to do some Christmas shopping and I wanted to ask you guys which book stores carry the Kingdom Hearts manga (not Kingdom Hearts II: Chain of Memories) but just the first Kingdom Hearts manga centered around Sora and not Roxas. I know where to find the KH II: CofM manga but I don't know where to but the regular Sora centered Kingdom Hearts manga. Could someone plz help me?

No, but that looks cool!
And I've seen the KH manga at Barnes and Nobles. They aren't very good though...
