Been a while since I posted here, mostly because I found a quality anime-focused forum to post in.
Anywho, recently I started watching Berserk, since I was in the mood for a Medievel show that's light on the fantasy and heavy on the action/plot. It's been very good so far, though it's also a bit sick and twisted at times, and I hear that only gets worse later on when they finally starts getting heavy on the demons. Still, if it can hold that off for a little longer, I think I might be a worthwhile watch.
I'm also rewatching Neon Genesis Evangelion for the third time, and this time I'm actually enjoying it. Third time's the charm, eh? Though I think it may just be because I like and understand the characters more now, and I can appreciate how light-hearted the earlier episodes are compared to how it gets later on.
Also, has anyone here seen Patlabor and remember if they liked it or not?

Berserk is excellent IMO. The out takes on the DVDs are the funniest I've ever heard. Don't think it gets that twisted but I need to watch it again. Been awhile!! Eva is also excellent and yes gets better the more You watch it. Characters are sometimes funny and great interactions between them!

I'll have to see if I can pick up Berserk on DVD, though I don't know if it's even being sold anymore. I might even wait for the new series to get localized.
As for Eva, I'd agree, I'm not sure why I don't rember that though. I think my memories of the more series parts over-rode the funny parts.
Berserk was alright, crazy ending and not necessarily in the good sense. If you like it, the manga has several more story arcs the anime never got to. As for availability, Region 1 complete season is pretty cheap on eBay, not knowledgeable

I'll keep an eye out for Serial Experiments Lain then, sounds like my kind of thing. Love films that you've gotta think about or watch a few times to fully understand what's going on. Probably explains my love of anything featuring abundant time travel (The Butterfly Effect, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, etc) as a major plot device.
You should look up a movie called Primer. It really is quite fascinating.

I finally got Hulu to work. I'm now on the eighth episode of One Piece and I'm enjoying it immensely! Hopefully Shonen Jump will seriously promote One Piece in the United States the way they've been promoting that terrible Naruto! I can't stand all the glory they give Naruto here in the United States when they should be giving One Piece a nice big multimedia push!
Hopefully we'll see some One Piece games on the Nintendo 3DS and iPad here in the USA as well.

Glad you like it. I only found out Hulu had anime about a week ago, and I'm actually quite impressed with their collection. While they're missing a lot of mid-to-late '90s shows, they have plenty of classics that I like. However, they're the only site that Ad Block doesn't work with, so I've had to watch commercials every time. There are far fewer than on Cable TV, though, so it's not that bad.

Is that show even available on any channel anymore? Actually, I haven't seen much anime during the day at all anymore. It's usually just early mornings (and only on Kids WB) and Late Nights (not the best time to be watching, you know?), just like in the old days.
One Piece is just plain awful, sorry. The redub was better but still not good.

What about...no, wait, that's only on Digital. But then there's...wait, no, they're gone. I guess there is no other channels with decent cartoons anymore, huh? I'm calling a conspiracy! CN's building a monopoly! D=
Isnt it sad how a Cartoon-based channel that doesnt have very many cartoons (and fewer good ones) and instead has liveaction junk-- has a monopoly on cartoons?
