@DanteSolablood: Both of those are difficult questions to answer, but regarding my preference between the manga and the anime, I'll have to give it to the anime for taking the cuteness and humor of the manga and increasing it exponentially. It's really hard to prefer the manga when the anime has most of its material, only with animation and sound. As for my favorite character, that's quite a tough question, because they all have something likeable about them. If I had to choose, though, I'd say Sakaki. I had the biggest smile on my face whenever she had scenes with Maya and kept thinking "D'AWWWW!"
The dub for AD was horrendous, though. I tend to like dubs a lot, but the one dubbed episode I watched was very jarring after watching the entire thing with the original audio. There were too many things I disliked: the way the characters (mis)pronounced Chiyo's name (with the added '-chan' honorific), how Osaka sounded like she was mentally slow, the butchered Japanese, and that was only based off one episode. This is definitely one series that I'll never watch dubbed, which bums me out a bit. As good as the original audio is, though, that's no big loss...
Re: One Piece—Definitely an anime that deserves more attention. It's just too bad that 4kids pretty much killed One Piece's chance to really grasp a TV audience in the US. FUNimation's dub is stellar, and the story is leagues beyond anything Kishimoto and (especially) Kubo can write. Currently there's 205 dubbed episodes, with more due out this year (FUNi has already started dubbing the next season, which spans from the Davy Back Fight all the way to the beginning of Enies Lobby). It didn't take me too long to get caught up with the anime last year (about 5 months, maybe), and that was because A) I didn't have internet access at home, and B) I didn't start on the subbed version right away, only doing so once I saw that waiting for more dubbed episodes would take quite a while. The only downside to the anime is that Toei has a bad habit of creating plot holes in the anime, especially in canon arcs and dragging episodes out (especially when the anime is getting close to the manga)...
"Don't make enemies, they'll stab your heart; don't make friends, they'll stab your back. Including me, including you, all men are trash. Don't love; don't be loved. Have nothing to do with other; live in isolation."
@GundamMac: It's even more insanely good if you're actually familiar with the story and characters that show up again further down the line. Really, by skipping around, you'll just ruin the impact some of the greatest moments the series has. If you've only been watching the anime (which it looks like you have), you don't even know why the Whitebeard war is so important, or why Luffy so desperately wants to save Ace, or who Whitebeard and Ace even are! Unless you read the manga as well, I'd recommend not skipping ahead in the anime, except maybe the fillers if you're the type of person who dislikes them (even though One Piece fillers are excellent, in my opinion)...

I just started watching Prince of Tennis 2 and it's just as good as the first one. Which I highly reccomend if you enjoy anime about sports. Now if only they would continue Eyesheild 21. Which is an other one of my favorites.

I actually don't recommend Prince of Tennis is you like sports. As I've explained before, I feel like it goes about it all wrong, focusing far more on the sport than developing the characters and relationships. Though that reminds me, I should go watch Aim for the Ace once I'm done with One Piece, since it's all subbed now.
I just started re watching Gash Bell ( the Japanese version of Zatch Bell) I forgot how funny it was. Though I never understood Folgore's dance until I started watching it. The cartoon network version is so innocent compared to the Japanese. [youtube:-dI6fLQzqFs&list]
Hey. I got a question. Long time ago, there was an anime in the library. I think it was called "Kodocha". Q: What was this anime about? I had no idea.

It's kind of classroom battles/romantic comedy about a girl with the perfect life & the young hellion who runs the classroom she attends. Have only seen a few episodes but looked good (if not my style).
Oh! I bought The Big O Complete Collection a couple of days ago! It's a great old mecha series with a great dub. I'm still just a few episodes in but had completely forgotten how stylish it was... it makes my big eyes weep tears of blackness.

@Dante: Great choice picking up Big O, it's a great series. A dubbed anime can't help but be great when its protagonist is voiced by Steven Blum (Mugen in Samurai Champloo, Spike in Cowboy Bebop, etc.)...

true story: Zatch Bell is the only anime I've ever gone from liking to HATING the dub of. I have no idea how I ever tolerated the voice acting.
I thought the VA was pretty good, actually, but that's just me. I remember liking the VA in Ronin Warriors, too, but after watching it again, I can't believe I didn't notice how bad it was.
