@antdickens
Oh okay, that's good to hear. You really had me worried for a bit.
I know it's public, but I wasn't sure if you guys were going to do an official announcement of the comments UI (and maybe other parts of the website) being redesigned, so that's why I wasn't sure if I could tell anyone. 🤔
Okay, thanks for letting me know. Also, do you possibly have a timeframe on when the comments UI redesign will be available? 🤔
Please give Ninjala a chance, guys. 🤔

Also, if I don't respond to your post within a day (or two), don't worry, I'm not ignoring you. I'm going to be busy, though I will do my best to respond in a timely fashion.
@SM3DASislit no timeframe yet, it really depends on what other things take up my time so it's hard to pin a date to it at this moment. It'll be ready when it's ready
@antdickens
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
I was wanting to know in case someone asked me the timeframe, once I told them that Nintendo Life will get an emoji menu bar soon (I also was just curious myself, as well).
I'm not trying to pressure you at all, so I hope I'm not coming across that way.
Please give Ninjala a chance, guys. 🤔

@Slowdive I could be wrong, but I don't think anyone is actively removing your posts. I think the system on NL is that if your comment gets a certain number of thumbs-down clicks, it just disappears. So in a twist of irony, all of the people who are so strongly against "censorship" are actually censoring others themselves (though they may not realize it).
It might be better to do a reddit style system where posts with a lot of thumbs down just get hidden or minimized, not outright deleted. Though if I am wrong about how the system works, I hope to be corrected!
@klingki nah you are right, if your comments are thumbed down enough it no longer gets displayed. There are times when some posts are deleted but it’s normally because the comment was spam/abusive rather than it was censored for your opinion.
@Slowdive Hey, I beg your pardon, I do call people names like rancid bumhole. Granted, they were espousing homophobia in an article literally pointing out homophobia but still, I resent that 😂
@klingki@jump Comments are hidden if people mass down-thumb them? I had no idea!
Terrible system, just like Reddit's groupthinky system of hiding unpopular posts. The ignore button exists for people who can't tolerate seeing viewpoints they dislike.
@nessisonett If I ever start a metal band, I'm totally calling it Rancid Butthole.
When I remove comments I also remove comments that are replies to them. I don’t personally care if half of the discussion is in the right, if I leave it floating there, then it doesn’t make sense and will just trigger the same people to come back and repost the same things over and over again. And don’t worry, as far as these cases go, people make sure to let me know how much of a bigot I am, and how it’s obvious I’m a woke gay moderator.
Because people tend to only notice their side of the discussion is gone.
You may notice I haven’t touched a certain thread and might be starting to make up conspiracies, but let me spoil things for you: I’m a single person. Somethings it feels like I might be the only active moderator in the entire site. That article already had three hundred comments by the time I saw it.
So I decided to instead contact the site about it and let them decide what they want to do with it.
@klingki@Ralizah I honestly don't like the thumbs down idea either, which is why I don't post too many comments to the news articles anymore. The problem with it is if your opinion goes against the masses of course it's going to get hidden from all the blind fanboys voting thumbs down on it. I have noticed that in several articles my opinions have disappeared as a result of this which I know isnt popular but it's an opinion.
Basically what I am getting at is with a system like that it makes the site feel like you have to love Nintendo and be blinded by them to post, otherwise your post will just be hidden.
RetiredPush Square Moderator and all around retro gamer.
@Eel Sounds like you need to do a recruitment drive and get some more mods on here. One should be a alt right guy and the other a woke socialist to offer proper balance, either that or spend all their time arguing with each other over Birdo's gender status.
@Tasuki but you must love Nintendo. They do nothing wrong. We all must worship everything they do all the time. And anyone who disagrees shall be cast out into the firey depths and killed for their blasphemy!😈 thus says our eternal saviors and protectors at Nintendo!!!
Please bring back polls to the What Are You Playing This Weekend? articles, they were removed one day without explanation and I see people asking for them to come back every week.
Sorry for commenting again, but there is another persistent ad that doesn't stop appearing and changing images in an annoying attempt to "attract costumers." And despite putting the seen this ad multiple times option to let google know, it continues appearing for many days still. It's an ad of Ford (yes, the car maker company).

Ok I know it's coming up to March 31st and everyone knows that the Mario stuff is being removed but do you guys need to write an article every day about it. Not only that but in articles like
You mention it and the article has nothing to do with Mario.
Honestly it just makes it look like you guys are desperate for views or clicks. Not being mean but is there a quota writers need per day or something. I just don't understand why you are repeating the same thing over and over.
@Tasuki My guess is that they're trying to fill in the people who might be clicking on the site for the first time ever or something. However, I agree it's a little excessive.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
@Tasuki I had no issue with it at first, it felt like "Hey for the new people who just joined this site this is leaving on march 31" but today was my breaking point why in the hell do we need to me reminded that this game is going off on march 31, there is almost no way you didn't hear about this unless your knew to nintendo or live under a rock.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!
