How do I make background tiles on the bottom screen use my textures? Is this even possible?
When loading to the top screen, you're usually doing it via LOAD "BGUx" (where x is from 0 to 3 inclusive), but what is actually happening is internally, it identifies it as "BGUxU", with the last U meaning 'upper'. The shortened version is like a default. If you use "BGUxL", it'll set to the lower screen. You may have to use BGPAGE 1 prior to loading, and you'll also have to set that to 1 when wanting to assign tiles on the lower screen like BGPUT.

The character "[" indicates the start of a loop, and "]" indicates the end of it. A number right after the end character indicates the number of times the loop is played. No number (or 0), and it loops forever. You can have up to 3 nested loops.
"CD[EF[G]3[[AB]4C]2]"
is the same as
"CD[EFGGGABABABABCABABABABC]"

Um, newbie here, so please move this post if it's in the wrong thread.
I was wondering if anybody knew how to make a point system? Like if you wanted to let the player choose whether or not their character becomes good or evil. Or if you wanted to make a dating sim and use the system to keep track of how in love one of the bachelors and/or bachelorettes is with the player character.
I just got this program yesterday, so I'm still lost on a lot of things.
I have noticed that I was really picky and mean when I first joined the thread. I was telling @IAmAPerson a bunch of crap like,"RENAME MINECRAFT DS!" and "ADD MORE FRIGGEN STUFF TO IT AS WELL!!!" .
so I feel really embrased about it @IAmAPerson . X(
btw: @leviseljir I have modded rayscare and made some terrifying sprites for it... No offense but rayscare isnt scary. But if you use these sprites I made... well that will change. If you want these sprites I will need your e-mail. here is the discription of the sprite...
1. mouth and eyes are "full" of blood
2.pale white
3.no hair
4.16 bit sprite
And if you get them, well, have fun with them! And scare the crap out of the people that play it!
