I think I found your problem. It's an attempt to use one variable for more than one purpose. With your map coordinates, you use PX and PY, right? Well, aren't you using PY to also determine if your entire party is paralyzed in battle? I noticed this when after running from a battle (I had to set CD to 30 because waiting between actions for 6 seconds in battle was not worth sitting around for) and attempted to move, I'd find myself at the top of the map, but at the same X coordinate. Prior to re-entering map mode, you reset the stats for all characters and party variables to FALSE, including PY. FALSE as a number is equal to 0, which so happens to be the vertical position you end up at.
Hope that helps.
edit:
After changing the variable PY within your battle section to PY1 (starting on the line where it checks all party members), everything seemed to work correctly when returning back to the map.
Yes I see the error of my ways, At least it human error by me by reusing PY again for something else which it happens to be the case, LOL!
I note that in my notebook and made list of all my var and what they do, to try to keep it from happening again so when I go to work. I try to work on it 45 mins, a day before work starts or free time on weekend if I get a weekend now a days. so yes I skiming my code for errors, which means I'm overlooking, because trying to get as much done in the lot of time.
I thank you Discostew and hope you had a good vacation!
Can someone PLEASE give me a link to the best SmileBASIC tutorials you can find or just post multiple tutorials on SmileBASIC for beginners. I'm not a beginner, but I forgot everything I new about SmileBASIC after discovering Minecraft. I really want to continue with SmileBASIC but if none of you help me I can't. Also, if you remember me from months ago please tell me. If you don't remember the name "GraphicGenius" then you might know "ProgrammingPro"
If Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy & paste this into your signature and hope it happens. Wait was that just a joke?

I assume you know the basics (no pun intended) of the BASIC language and mainly want a run-down of SmileBASIC commands and how they work, so I'll point you to Snailface's Function Guide. It includes example code, and some of them supply a QR code so you can see it in action on your DSi/3DS.
Is petit computer still relevant? Yeah, i'll take the hates if it is.
At least until PTC3 comes out for the 3DS.
really If you think about it even if it came out for 3ds I mean PTC3 I'll still use PTC to make games because I know not all has 3ds and I like my old tech more just like I like my new. all in the eye of the beholder, remember that and you have your answer.
think about it for a second and look at your DSI then look at your 3DS is the quality there with the new some what. I think the sound system is louder on dsi better built and trust me on this can take a drop off a table I thought for sure I broke it at work. now if that happen to my 3DS I can truly say it would had broke so I am going to get armor for it, now the 3dsXL I do like bigger easyer on my eyes as long I keep 3d off I do think the 3DS shell and speakers can be a lot better tho and I like them both even tho they have there PRO and CONS. So yes I'll use PTC and PTC3 till I can't use them no more!
I also hope they enable the talk for eng and better uses of the hardware with 3DS in PTC3 thats on my wish list.

Ok, I got a question for everyone interested in my MM2 project. How would you feel if the Wily bosses (and Wily himself) had a different theme from the one boss theme used in the entire game? People have asked about whether I planned on moving towards making Megaman X and such after this project, but honestly, I don't see myself doing it. Not because of difficulty, but because I want to try something else other than Megaman (I have spent the last 2 years making this game on PTC). So, I was thinking that for the Wily stage bosses, I'd use NES recreations of the MMX Vile and Sigma themes.
Here's Vile's intro theme (WIP), which is all I have atm. It was made to sound like it was from the NES (rather than the SNES). Tell me what you think.
The site is fairly new and there isn't much to look at. I will soon update with information on my project.

@MarioMiner I started with SmileBASIC then moved on to Java and now I'm planning on starting C soon.
Also, I have started working on my newest project! It will be my first big project, a Text RPG. If anyone could give me tips for the game then please do. Just a note to @IAmaPersson I used your splash text.
EDIT: Here is the new site! http://petitcomputer.wikia.com/wiki/Graphic%27s_TextRPG

Why does everyone who advances go to like c++? I went to Pure C then Python... Anyone else out there like me?
That would be me! on another note I finally came out with V1.0 for my game... I can't make a qr code atm because I don't have a working computer so if anyone wants the game I will email them the code.
...yes, you can save an array into a MEM file, but you must understand the rules for doing so.
MEM files are made by storing a string (up to 256 characters) into the MEM$ variable, and then using the SAVE command like you would any other file, using "MEM:xxxxxxxx" to indicate you are wanting to save it as a MEM file. If your array is less than or equal to 256 elements, is numerical, and only holds values between 0 and 255, inclusive (to form an 8-bit value), then you can use CHR$ to convert each number into a character, and then you can concatenate (add) it to MEM$.
MEM$=""
FOR I=0 TO 255
MEM$=MEM$+CHR$(MYARR(I))
NEXT
SAVE "MEM:MYARRAY"
Then, when you want to load from the MEM file into your array, you reverse it and use ASC to convert from a character to a number. Because it is all one string, you'll have to use MID$ to get each character individually.
LOAD "MEM:MYARRAY"
FOR I=0 TO 255
MYARR(I)=ASC(MID$(MEM$,I,1))
NEXT
Now, if you use values that range into 16-bit (0 to 65535, inclusive), then you'd have to split the number into 2 8-bit values. When you want to read from the MEM$, you read both values, then put them together.
low16BIT = number AND 255
high16BIT = FLOOR(number / 256)
number = low16BIT + (high16BIT * 256)
If your numbers can also be negative, then you'll have to offset them to make the range only positive, and then offset back when reading.
Numbers with decimals.........well, I'm sure you can figure that out.
@bigdog00 When are you going to give me the qrs? I want to continue work on it.
I thought I said I wasn't going to work on it until you release another update.
I'm just going to mod it when you release it or help you with the next campaign.
But could you please post the current build?
Sorry I haven't been on in a while, I'm working on a real FPS in unity 3d. I may make a CoD: MW2 and CoD: BO2 styled game with the rayspace engine, but it's just an idea.
How do I make background tiles on the bottom screen use my textures? Is this even possible?
When loading to the top screen, you're usually doing it via LOAD "BGUx" (where x is from 0 to 3 inclusive), but what is actually happening is internally, it identifies it as "BGUxU", with the last U meaning 'upper'. The shortened version is like a default. If you use "BGUxL", it'll set to the lower screen. You may have to use BGPAGE 1 prior to loading, and you'll also have to set that to 1 when wanting to assign tiles on the lower screen like BGPUT.
