Morphtorok is right @IamAPerson. Using left/right to rotate the camera feels a lot more natural and comfortable. I also think A should place a block and B should break it.

I downloaded the splashes.txt from minecraft. Now I just need to know how to add splashes...
Don't do anything yet. Once I finish adding block IDs, I'll give you what I have. Then you work off that. If we do t do it like that, then we'll have 2 different versions, and it'd be very hard to combine.

Well, Apocalypse Rising time. I'm thinking I can do something. Maybe sprites? Probably not.. Aha! I need save files for the progress saving on the game. See, when you are playing on a map, I'll implement the option to save so you don't lose any progress. If you save, then turn off the game, and enter it again, then you can press Load Game on the menu and saved games will appear there.
Edit: I had to exit Minecraft DS, but I can always come back to that.
Edit2: Well, my code isn't really doing what I want it to do. I already set up directory from selecting New Game to go to @NEWGAME and when I select New Game, or at least try to, it does nothing. I'll look into my code and see what's wrong, but if I'm sure it's correct, I'll report it in.
Edit3: Oh, I didn't put VSYNC 1 and I didn't tell the game to go back to the new game loop. I can't believe I forgot that...
Edit4: This is the most edits I've ever done. New Game still isn't working... I might get back to that.

You can import pictures into PTCUtilities and convert to a CHR file. Search "PTCUtilities" on google and download. VERY useful tool.
Also everyone - finishing up making block IDs. Almost done! Following that, I will make touch GUI, and release that as Beta 1.1. Then I will re-enable 32x32 worlds, make 64x64 worlds, unlimited saveable worlds, make touch screen control option, and shift around button controls. I think I'll use @slayer's layout
Similar to the layout on Call of Duty MW3 Defiance and Black Ops for DS. A B X and Y are looking around, right trigger shoots (or place blocks), and left trigger zooms(or breaks blocks). D-pad moves.
and this will be published as Beta 1.1.5 or 1.2, still haven't decided. I think @Morphtorok's control suggestion is a little confusing, but then another ingenious idea comes to mind!
