I made a full list of all the games I bought over the last year. I’m not sure what’s more depressing, the fact it’s finally closing down, or the fact I nearly doubled the amount of games on my 2DS in a in a single year.

@Eel it doesn’t but you can buy on the Nintendo store website and the games get put in your download queue. I gotta go pick up a larger microsd card tomorrow.

@Ryu_Niiyama ah I keep forgetting the website can be used to buy games
That’s a great selection btw. I’m really tempted to buy at least the denpa men 3 on my 2DS. But I already have it on the xl so I want to stay strong and avoid double dips…
Anyone else run into an issue when purchasing eShop credit from NintendoLife directly where you only receive one download code despite buying more than 1?
All right, I made some last-minute eShop purchases, and here's some noteworthy stuff that I got...
Advance Wars 2
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy
Pocket Card Jockey
Super Mario Maker for 3DS (it was $20 and I only got it for the Super Mario Challenge mode)
Zack & Wiki
Earlier, I also got the rest of the New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC, as well as Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars. Phoenix Wright and Zack & Wiki were only $3 each from the Capcom sale, I've heard many good things about them, but just didn't get them at the time. So that was the perfect opportunity to try out something new. I'm pretty satisfied with what I got from the eShop over the years.
Playing: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Please ask for my Switch FC if you want to play online with me. Thanks!
@MarioLover92 you had me panicked there for a second because I thought there was a new super Mario 2 dlc I didn’t have but I think I got the full version with my 3ds
@FawfulsFury Ohhh, I apologize. I didn't mean to have you panic. I think they made a Gold Edition of NSMB2 that has all 10 of the DLC course packs, it should say on the title screen.

I was considering buying just enough characters on smash bros for 3ds to fill in the character selection screen, without triggering the second page of the character selection screen to appear.
But after doing the math, even just the 4 characters that would involve ends up costing all the money I was given. I’d rather spend my final funds on actual games.
Man, I spent like $600 on 3DS games (sure wish there were some more sales offered). Also threw in WarioWare Smooth Moves on Wii U, since I figured it wouldn't work that well on an emulator
Ok I decided to go out with a bang, added some more funds of my own to complete the cost, and got Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn to be my definite final purchase.
I heavily considered getting some of the typical 3DS eShop exclusives like Dillon o Box Boy, but I decided to get one big new game I actually want… instead of several little games I would honestly get only for the sake of having them.
Epic Yarn is also strangely very expensive on amazon, while the other Kirby games (which I also considered) are still fairly priced.
just watch me coming back tomorrow saying “ok now the final final final purchase is…”
Been enjoyable reading your updates guys and girls
I last-minute picked up:
3DS: Pokemon Red, Crimson Shroud, Attack of the Friday Monsters, and a digital copy of Dream Team Bros.
Wii U: Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, Super Mario RPG
Really torn on Twilight Princess HD as I have been waiting for it to come to Switch. It has been released on Gamecube, Wii and Wii U, so is it possible Nintendo has benched it for a while? On the other hand it could do with recuperating it’s costs from the HD version, so releasing on Switch would be smart. Who knows? (Nintendo knows).
Oh, in terms of the WiiU, I focused mostly on getting DS games. The last two were Picross 3D and New Super Mario Bros.
For Twilight Princess… I dunno, if you really want it, well why not, go for it. However you might also be able to get it on disc, or wait for another remaster.
