Topic: (UNOFFICIAL) Pokedex 3D

It´s really lame you can´t get all the Pokémon by yourself. A friend of mine (I know two people who have 3DS the other one lives 300 km away from me) seems to have the same elemental monkies >_<. Still missing female Jellicent and few Deerlings and Sawsbucks. Oh, and those monkey too, apart from the fire ones.

Yes, I miss the male Frillish/Jellicent, the Grass/Fire elemental monkeys, Two fellas like Landorus and the other Deerlings/Sawsbucks. Why do we need to use Streetpass and other 3DS devices?

You are missing Thundurus and Tornadus then. I'm at 124 Pokemon at the moment, but I do have Tornadus and Landorus.

Well, do you need to receive them from Spotpass, or scan an AR Marker?

I got them both from Spotpass. I don't have Thundurus yet though, but I assume that you will get him the same way.

I think so as well: I got landorus from Spotpass as well.

I suppose this is the right place to look for help with this! Anyone's pokedex stopped updating? I'm not 100% sure mine has because I don't have my 3DS on for 10 hours on end just to get the pokedex updated, but i really think it has stopped updating, anyone else have this problem? (Or anyone want to point me in the direction of a thread purpose built for this?) By the way i almost have 130 pokemon, and I have the same issue about getting seasonal forms of pokemon as my friends have the same seasons!

i need one five more and im done... except now im not getting any more pokemon lol i just have to wait for my brother so we can trade the last few pokemon (i have to wait for almost a month:(

Cheers JDT, only had a little bit of time cause I ws leaving the house, but that made more sense than just asking :L I seem to have got the answer i was looking for so thanks! Still not pleased with having to find someone else to help me complete my pokedex, I won't see my friends (with 3DS's) again til September!

For anyone here, the app takes longer the more you have and it takes longer to download because it has to make sure you can't get doubles, also I heard from a friend you need to have steps built up to get pokemon and it seems to hold true because while I worked on it sometimes I would get the pokemon later after getting enough steps. Just need the summer forms of deerling and sawsbuck and I'm done.

I'm wondering if they'll update this with all 649 Pokemon.

So I wonder if anyone else is having this problem:
In the latest Nintendo Power magazine, there was an AR picture where you can scan a Pokemon. (Sorry I can't remember the name of it.) On my 3DS, everything scanned normally, the Pokemon was displayed on the screen correctly and I could toss him apples, etc. My daughter's 3DS also worked fine.

On my son's 3DS, the Pokemon picture is actually rotated by 90 degrees. His pokemon came out of the right side of the screen (sideways) and jumped to the left. You have to turn your head sideways to see it correctly.

Any ideas about what's up?

I believe its the way the 3DS is held. Pokedex does make use of the gyroscope to figure out what orientation the system is in and displays the Pokemon Accordingly. For example, say you look at a marker on your computer screen. The Pokemon will come out facing your 3DS, not standing on the marker like it normally would. If you scan the same marker and it senses you are looking down, the pokemon will come out with the top of its head facing you. I hope that explains the problem. Also, it may be possible the 3DS has a messed up gyroscope in which case it wouldn't follow these rules. If that is the case then I would call Nintendo ASAP.

It's already been sent back once because it doesn't register step count. They replaced the SD card and sent it back and claimed it was "fixed". It wasn't of course.

Jeeze...here we go again Nintendo. They've had the 3DS more than my son has.

Well, there's an update button so it's pretty likely that they'll include more Pokémon. At least they are going to update it to make Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect available.

There's an update now which doesn't do much. It only opens the features that you can get by scanning AR markers. Things like Timer, Notes, Pause, etc.

I already got everything, aside from the pause button.
