Many People think the 3ds is dead. That is far from True.

A company named Sungrand Studios is having a big focus on producing new High Quality games for 3ds systems.

Their upcoming game Silver Falls 3 Down stars is an extremely ambitious game that will push the New 3ds to it's limits. It is a Survival Horror game in the vein of Silent Hill and Resident Evil. But with a uniqe story and interesting gameplay.

They Will also release 4 more games in the series that is compatible with all The 3ds/2ds systems during 2020.

Silver Falls 3 down stars Will hopefully be up on E Shop 2 january in US and 7 January in Europe and rest of the world.

Check out Silver Falls and support new quality games for 3ds

@Ringdangdoo What happened to 26 December? Just before Christmas, Nintendo Life was saying that's when it would come out. I was hoping to download it so I had something new to play as I fly home, but oh well, my flights aren't that long. I guess I can survive playing Alliance Alive.

The company was told by Nintendo that the game would launch on 26 of december but unfortutunately it happened to be delayed. It is all Nintendo Who you should blame.
Sungrand Studios really hope that the game Will launch on 2 january in US.
Let us all hope for The best.
Follow their twitter. The communicate with The fans really well. News every Day now.

Silver Falls a far better game than most AAA games and it’s my personal favorite of the year. It has a story mode and a huge bonus Frontier Fighter's mode. There’s new game plus content! If you like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, mystery’s, time-shifts, aliens, puzzles and riddles than this game is a love letter to you. The New 3 DS is quite powerful. The detail to gameplay, graphics and detail is unprecedented. Don’t believe the bad reviews. Nintendo could support its underdog and the reviews would be 10/10. There’s a free demo available on the DS Store. I can’t say enough good things about it!

This game is a passion project and a labor of love. The writing is great. The graphics are atmospheric and very ambitious for a 3DS title. Some aspects may be rough around the edges but there is a lot of potential. Unfortunately if no one gives the game a chance, they will never reach that potential. Give it a buy. You won’t regret it.

I completely forgot about this game, I might end up checking it if I'm able.

NGL, this game had a rough start with Nintendo ***** up the release dates and uploading the wrong build, but after a few patches that fixed most things (adding a whole bunch of content while they were at it) the game is great, the story mode has a great story, gameplay's complex but not a simulator, it has a ***** ton of content, it has like a 100 missions in the arcade mode, each are very short so it amounts to 50 hours of content or so just to get to the last one, but there is still plenty to unlock after that and they are apparently adding more.

As someone who's actually Played Silver Falls 3DS, I'll say this-
It's been largely made by one man, and content wise, it's very impressive.
There's lots to unlock and lots to do, so much so that there's probably some hidden content that might never be unlocked due to how crazy in-depth some of the stuff is.

It is a game where there will clearly be a locked door with nothing on the other side of it, but if you decide to bash your head against it for an hour, the game likely has a reward in place for that, because there's so many other things that you'd think aren't being accounted for that completely are. I wouldn't doubt it if someone told me that there's an unlockable just for walking backwards for 3 minutes for the sake of walking backwards. The secrets are real.

Graphically, it's also fairly impressive, with a rather high draw distance and poly count. It's not a Tech Demo, so it doesn't run the smoothest in the biggest areas (25-35 FPS average, although it's running FAR better than it originally did, and performance can only improve with coming optimizations) and in terms of it's writing- although not Shakespeare, it clearly has a LOT of passion behind it. Same goes for most of the game, "passion," is a good word to describe almost everything in the game.

It's "survival horror" aspects are somewhat slow to start, and the lack of it at may first feels somewhat deceiving (which is likely to be intentionally so) but when the actual horror part kicks in, it kicks in HARD. I have not been as excited to get scared by a game in a while, and it's payoff is solid.
The game even starts saying "Put in headphones for the best experience," something I don't think I've seen in a survival horror game since Silent Hill 0 15 odd years ago. (Can we bring that back please?)

It's clearly an indie game, for better and for worse. It's got the early 90's/20's survival horror crust. It clearly doesn't have the best budget for the ambition it's aiming for, It's pricey and some people may be able to argue that it's come way too late in the 3DS lifespan for the cost of entry.
BUT I'm confident to say that the price is worth it, if you put the time into the game. Especially so if the next 2 updates bring to the table what's been promised.

The developer has been doing his best to not only fix current content but also add new content, for a game that's likely not doing well sales wise at all in this moment. That alone gives me the respect for this developer to be supported in the future, and hopefully should give you some idea of their integrity.

Also, no lootboxes.

Bottom line is, if you think the game looks interesting or up your alley, it'll be worth your time and money, and even if you don't plan on buying the game, Sungrand is certainly someone to look out for and support in the future.

Actually it seems that everyone beat me to it, but I just came here to second everything said above. This game is great, 10/10.

The only thing I’ll add is that the developer really cares about their work, to the extent they’ve been very active since day 1 communicating with their fanbase, making improvements and additions to the game, expanding the Silver Falls universe, etc... when nowadays you can find indie developers a dime a dozen who just release their half finished game into the wild and never put even close to the same amount of love/work into it, and in 3 Down Stars it really shows how much it’s a labor of love.

And like someone mentioned above, the price point is only $25, which is significantly cheaper than a full priced game but will still guarantee as many (if not more) hours of gameplay than a triple A title. You really can’t afford to miss out on this game.

I wasn't expecting so many other posts, this genuinely makes me happy that there are others that see what I see when I look at "silver falls: 3 down stars". I've been all around the internet trying to set the record straight about the game and correct the unfair and extremely unforgiving early version reviews of v1.0 and v1.1. Every once in awhile I would see that another silver falls fan had beat me to it and I wonder how many of us are out there...

"Silver Falls: 3 down stars" had peaked my interest when I first heard of it's development far back in 2018 or so. Then as one does, I forgot about it. Then next thing I know it's launch time and the news is bad. Then come the reviews and the news is even worse..., This is the point where majority of interested ppl disengaged and never gave another thought to it. But how could this be true? I went into past development logs and social media posts to see just what "silver falls: 3 down stars" was. What I found made me immediateley question everything I had heard about the game from the reviews. There was just no way I was willing to believe that a game with complex game mechanics* that work as intended(complex for 3ds) and a clearly massive effort from a small low budget indie developer could get so much correct but fail at incredibly simple gameplay mechanics? I could see through the glitches to the game underneath and I knew there had to be an explanation, and there was. Since then it's currently version 1.2 with 1.3 version launching any day now that clears up straggler glitches that are now few and far between. Combat with both firearms and melee weapons works very well in 1.2, loading times, frame rate, enemy combat movements all are fixed and very much improved. Random crashes are almost nonexistant in 1.2. (I had 1 only in entire first playthrough). Silver Falls:3ds plays like a silent Hill or resident evil Revelations type game, player will explore a town frozen in time and other locations as well. Sometimes you can "save" frozen ppl that are a moment away from fatal injury (or not save them). The story is about ufos and aliens and you will encounter mutated animals and bizarre radioactive beasts of all kinds and even humanoids. There's secrets to be found and lots of different weapon types and models and I mean ALOT. In the bonus frontier fighters mode (wave mode/raid mode/mercenary's w o a time limit). There's easily 100 weapons or more to find, upgrade , use or sell for moose tokens to buy ammo n supplies . You will earn RPG style xp going on short battle missions of varying difficulty to fight off waves of enemies. You will earn and find legendary weapons with built in "skills" that give player large bonuses and lots of other fun items n things. There are many playable characters to choose from in frontier fighter mode ,each has unique skills and stats, each level up seperateley as u use them and you get to choose which stat to give bonuses on. Each weapon is upgradeable as well in 6 different categories , attack power, reload speed, magazine capacity, rate of fire, impact force, armor piercing. The "frontier fighters" mode is very high in content w a total 100 stages and is my personal favorite thing about the game.
Silver Falls 3 down stars is a true achievement by a small one man studio. He is in constant contact with all of his silver falls fans and always keeps us to informed about what's happening and always responds to any questions. The work he has done getting his accidentally launched broken version repaired is one of the most impressive feats I've ever witnessed. "Silver Falls 3 down stars" is a GOOD game and very much deserves another look.
There will be YouTube video of the next 1.3 version soon, but right now you can go to YouTube and find gameplay video of Silver Falls 3 down stars 1.2.. Make sure it's version 1.2 and see for yourselves, it's worth it.
