Today's new generations makes me want to go back to gen 4... the soundtrack is so nostalgic.

Coincidentally, I just restarted playing Diamond. That file had been on hold for four years.

I even had my Poketopia Pikachu there, the poor guy will never be able to join the new generations.

She knows surf, so alongside my flying Pikachu from the pokewalker, she's stuck in gen 4.

Anything with an HM, so I could technically transfer them...

If I removed their HMs.

Then they'd be plain old Pikachus.

I'm glad they just borrowed the story from Platinum, that was my favorite of the three. Giratina is awesome, and the Distortion World is still one of my favorite areas in the Pokemon universe.

@Tyranexx The third game is usually the canonical one.

More than the "third game", I'd say it's the "most recent version".

Platinum simply happens to be the last third game that hasn't been overridden by a remake.

ORAS was the only remake that really overrode anything, Yellow didn't have much of a story to override and HGSS folded in Crystal's storyline into its own.

By absorbing some elements from Crystal they simply saved them from being written out of the current canon. They clearly consider the most recent incarnation of the games to be the current canon one, in the case of the second gen, that is HG/SS.

Anyway, don't worry, with the latest developments in the series, all versions of the games can exist as alternate dimensions of one another.

Basically, I stumbled across a homemade Mime Jr. cutout being used as a mascot for one of those "SLOW DOWN AND DON'T KILL THE CHILDREN" signs. I thought it was cute.

But that post was a bit of a shambles in grammar, context, and meaning in general.

Correct, though I was wondering if they wouldn't do "alternate" episodes for Diamond and Pearl like they did with ORAS. I'm glad they just kept it to the point with using Platinum's story.

Tbh the only thing I really felt was missing from ORAS was watching Groudon and Kyogre fight each other in Sootopolis. I remember thinking that was a really epic scene when I played through Emerald eons ago. Watching them duke it out in their Primal forms would be even better. 8D

I keep underestimating how much filler they can fit into these 4-minute episodes. JFC, I do not care about Team Plasma and their fabulous outfits. I want to see Palkia and Dialga's freaky zero gravity sex scene, not Kant's reflections upon death! I wanted to see THAT FOOL GET ATE!!!
