Forget about that Barbaracle thing, that new crab-thing is the most hideous Pokémon..

@Tsurii That was pretty clear to me when I saw Bewear for the first time; it reminded me of that huge teddy bear digimon.

Yeah, I think that's supposed to be a tag sticking out of Stufful's butt.

Anyways, Crabrawler has Hyper Cutter and Iron Fist as its abilities.

Sandygast and Palossand have the new ability Water Compaction, which boosts Defense by 2 when hit by a Water type move. Makes sense for a sandcastle.

Then again... Water can easily destroy a sandcastle too.

Also, can I just say that I love how they showed Crabrawler beating the crap out of some of the really overused VGC Pokemon (Kangaskhan, Talonflame, Smeargle, Landorus-T, Cresselia) in the reveal on stream?

@Octane: Good point. Bewear DOES look a little like Monzaemon.

Crabrawler looks a little like a souped-up Corphish. It's not my favorite design either. In fact I prefer Turtonator to it.

Stufful is meh. It's a little too cutesy for my liking.

The two possessed sand castles are still awesome, though like others I'm unsure about the usefulness of that ability.

Probably based on a coconut crab, explains the lack of water typing and its odd part crab, part lobster like appearance.

I can't believe that Ice Beam froze the Venusaur for the victory

@DefHalan Those Skill Swap plays combined with the freeze on Venusaur were insane.

@IceClimbers Yeah, that was a great way to kick off worlds, but I felt so bad for that Venusaur. That guy had the better setup but the Cresselia and Kyogre got lucky.

Yea pretty much this.

Coconut crabs climb trees, knock down coconuts, then crack them with their claws, and they're one of (i think are) the largest invertebrates on land. They're basically like hermit crabs with the shell, and get huge. Makes me wonder what this guy will evolve into, if it'll be huge to emphasize on the coconut crabs biggest trait, their size, or if it switch into something else like a mantis shrimp (which i'd love above all else, I own one as a pet and would love one in the game)

Sandcastles seem like gimmicks competiviely sadly, they're ground types weak to water, with an ability that only activates against water, and it boost the defense part of their stats when water is more commonly a special attacking type.

Just watched the stream video to see how they revealed it, pretty cool how they saved it for San Francisco.

Apparently the crab likes climbing tall buildings, objects, and people. And will get violent if you try to remove them.

If these things were real, Hawaii would be on my "never visit" list.

I already dislike insectoid creatures like lobsters and spiders. There's no need to make me a preferred target for them x_x

I just noticed something.... Sandycast's name is somewhat similar to Sandy Claws, which brings to mind a certain Nightmare Before Christmas song.

"Kidnap the Sandycast, lock him up real tight, throw away the key and then turn off all the lights!"

I think I might be the only person who likes Barbaracle... yes, it has a terrible design.... but for some reason i'm okay with it.

But anyways, yay for some new reveals. Sandcastles look better in 3D but I think they're only 'ok'. Do not like Snufful.

Crabrawler is actually pretty cool - I'm a fan of crab Pokemon and even though this is similar to Corphish and Clauncher at least it is only Fighting type. Hope it evolves into something really awesome as I love Crawdaunt but was disappointed in Clawitzer's design.

@DarthNocturnal will the crabs there try to be my hat?
