I did the exact same thing yesterday and caught him. I was about to rage since I could have beaten him at like 18 moves left but got no combos for like 10 turns. Thankfully I still caught him at 28% without a great ball.

imo you pretty much need attack power+ in order to have enough turns left to have a good chance at catching him; I beat him once without buying anything but it's like a 7% chance and I got lucky beating the stage that time.

I finally caught Manaphy and the 5 safari Pokemon.

I'm really glad Manaphy has good power and a nice ability, it's one of my favorite Pokemon and I thought it would follow the trend of making similar Pokemon (mew and celebi) really weak.

I just need 1 more safari Pokemon but it was at 26% chance the last time I saw it and I wasn't able to catch it. I am low on coins so I wasn't even able to try a great ball. They should make an item that you can buy that increases the chance of seeing rarer safari pokemon. Make it like 500 coins or something.

I can't beat Mega Mawhile :/

Well I already caught him lol. I just need Manectric

Caught Manetric yesterday on my new 3DS XL, so now have all Safari on both systems I play. It's possible, but it took 2 great balls for me, 6 for my wife on her system. (Didn't purchase any items, but my team was: Groudon, Stunfisk, Marowak all at decent levels). Hang in there, shufflers! Also, Dialga is really good in general, so be sure to catch him before Monday. You should try to catch Manetric now because he's the Mega Stone competition next week, in case you didn't know. (I assume the Safari is still going on then...)

Finally caught him. Now I got 2 more Main Pokemon to catch and about half Expert Levels to complete and catch.

And we're only like 1/4 done with the pokedex.

I wish they would put them in Pokedex order rather than their own special order

I totally recommend having the coins for a great ball or two in case you do find it.

Mega Manectric competition is now live. In the US top 40,000 get the stone and a jewel. Top 20,000 also get a free Mega Start. Top 6,000 get a Mega Speedup instead of the Mega Start.

It's logical.

It would be nice if they kind of allow us to synchronize the various versions.

Can hardly stand using my fingers for games so I'll still be using the 3ds version.
