Ah, Cheers.
I'll try that now.

Just caught Pinsir, but only had around 26% chance to catch him and missed, so I forked over the coins for a Great Ball and caught him. Now with that out of the way, back to S Ranking those remaining 4 Expert stages.

Finally caught Celebi, yay!
I just started this game and I must say, its more fun than I thought it would be.

I just don't understand Nintendo's design choice though, specifically because the pricing is awful.
Like, I'd pay $5 for 50 jewels, but $5 for...6? SIX? SIX? NO FLIPPIN' WAY!
I guess the amount of money they will make this way will be more since you just need one person to buy 35 for $25 to make up for like four people who wouldn't buy, but man...
Nintendo could of had my money, but at those prices there's no way I'd spend a cent on this game. It's a shame really.

I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke!

Spent all my money on Pinser, finished in just a few moves, had 25% chance to catch him... failed. Now I have to grind coins for a while and hope I can catch him next time.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Sparx

Not gonna lie, I feel the Pinsir event is a terrible excuse for a money grab and I hope they don't do this type of event in the future. At least Safari let you try multiple times in a day so that one screw up wouldn't keep completely doom you

I got lucky and caught pinsir day 1 at 16 percent. And bannete is really interesting as a mega.

Welp. I got lucky, and managed to beat Pinsir with a REALLY bad team (from Meowthing), and caught it at 34% with 1 great ball!
And I only have a few S ranks to go, but I don't think I'll unlock Genesect before the next batch comes on Monday (Hopefully!) It certainly seems likely, as we've had no major updates in a while.

Maybe they'll even do a version 2.0!

Jokes, of course (Like another game I could mention), but Shaymin and another 15 stages seems likely. I've also come up with an idea of how pokemon won't become obsolete the moment that they are released.

Abilities.

By adding new obstructions, and putting new abilities in, (and by making some pokemon have abilities that exist, but are rare in the existing base set, in different types), they can make sure that lower base power pokemon are useful (a la Combusken).

It's a win win situation. We get all pokes being situationally useful, but we don't have Magikarp being more powerful than Mewtwo. What do you lot think? (And I really hope that Steelix, Gurdurr and Conkeldurr aren't as much of a pain as their pre-evolved forms)

New pokemon are up, along with an insufferable Regirock event!

Oh gosh I'm getting major Pokemon Colosseum vibes from the rocky valley (new map) music.

Steelix was a cake walk compared to Onix. Think I only had to use coins against Frogadier. Now to try and take down that Reggie

Regirock is a pain... It's definitely a coin wall...

Finally caught him! Now I can go back to work on the new main stages and once those are done, S Rank for Mewtwo and Genesect.

I think Regirock is definitely one of the more difficult stages I've played. I was using the wrong team for it and kept ending up either losing or with only a single move left to go, so it left me with an abysmal catch rate. I changed my team, started to use Mega Mawile and my matches fared a lot better with amount of moves remaining in the double digits, but the catch rate is still pretty terrible.

For those still having trouble, I'd recommending buying Mega Start and Attack x2 also. I really wouldn't bother with anything more as you'll want to have money left for Great Balls in order to catch him. Good luck!

TheXReturns

Yeah. I got Regirock on a Mega-Start and Attack Power Up with no Great Balls (27% Chance), with a team of Mega Mawile (7), Kyogre (9), Bronzong(4) and Keldeo(4). It was a real pain though... And I'm calling it, Regice is gonna be released next week, or the week after, and is going to have disruptions originally set up in the middle row and middle column, just like Regice's Braille marks.

I was guessing you'd need a mega start...it's just a shame I don't have many coins. I think I'll give it one more go but then I'm throwing in the towel. Without the mega start there's no way you'll get any combos until around 8 moves left. It's like, not even hard, its just lame.

@TheXReturns I used that exact same team against Regirock.

@Klimbatize Heh. I think we were both onto a winner there. Bronzong and Keldeo get rid of the blocks, Kyogre powers through, and gets rid of any breaking ones at the end, and Mawile sets up loads of combos after the blocks have gone. Easy Peezy Squeeze the Lemon. Having looked through other Forum sites, it seems to be one of the most popular choices, and I really would recommend it to anyone who still hasn't got it.

Any tips for Genesect? It is the only available one I haven't caught yet (except for assuming there is an EX22 for S ranking all the new stages), so I went ahead and spent all my coins on every upgrade except the extra experience one. I still only had 14 seconds left when I beat him and a 6% chance to catch it, so I don't know what else to do. Aerodactyl's mega seems pretty useless, though, so maybe I should not use a mega and use a more powerful Pokemon instead. That would save me coins by not needing the Mega Start, too.

MasterWario

So I was able to catch Regirock at 15%, which is great since I spent 5000 coins on it!
Makes me feel a little better since I'm still salty about missing Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, and Mega Blastoise (+ Washer Rotom + Vaporeon = instant mega), which were probably a ton easier.

@MasterWario Don't be disheartened. As there are only a limited number of Legendaries, I can see the events rolling around again. Of those, only Kyogre and Groudon would have been a major help, and there are still pokemon that do a similar job (just not as well...)
