Second attempt. Tried it out once to see what the level was like, then went with powerups.
I should be good until the end, though some of the high scores are waaay up there. I'll keep my eye on it and take another shot on the last day if I need it to stay in the top 20K.
...So no Mega Aerodactyl tips then? T.T
EDIT: Never mind, apparently it's just luck based, go figure. Never touching that stage again, when's the next update anyways?
Never played a match 3 game before this and not yet spent anything on extras so not really understanding some of the negative reviews ... its free, its fun, its playable in 20 min bursts... whats not to like?

A lot of people find the 20 minute limits to be annoying. I personally like smaller play sessions in this style of game, but others don't.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
: D I've just managed to work my way into the upper echelons without items or... Yeechh... home-buffering (I think that's a really bad exploit myself... I personally wouldn't use it, but I know some would).
I got a score of 16462 (Ranking 4010) with a flawless combo from about the 30 second mark to the end, and some after-time combos. I get that some people have been using Zoroark's sinister power with Dark types, but I don't have anyone else strong other than my current team: M-Gengar Lvl 8, Yveltal Lvl 7, Absol Lvl 8 and Zoroark Lvl 7. The next highest Dark type is Liepard, but it's only level 2... Anyway. That's just some proof that you don't have to spend lots or exploit a glitch to get a high score.
Caught Genesect last night and now I'm not sure what to do for the time being in Shuffle. Haven't played the competition since the first day, but I scored high enough that I'd doubt I'll need to again in order to get the Mega Stone.
Should I:
1) Farm more coins? It's boring.
2) Level up Pokemon? If so, which ones? That's boring too.
3) S-Rank remaining Expert Stages? For some of them, it'll be difficult and is it even worth doing?
Any tips?

@Pahvi, I know, but when S Ranks seem to be money grabbing, then you need to conserve as much as possible.
I've got all pokemon barring Genesect now, and I got a much better score: 18824, which sets me 4183rd, with 12 hours to go. Still no coins spent on it. I think I'm safe now, judging on previous experiences, but I may try later for a better score, just to be safe. I'm also still working on S ranks.
@Klimbatize how did you S rank the Milotic stage? I've tried and tried and tried, but my team of: Ampharos Lvl 8, Sceptile Lvl 8, Dedenne Lvl 5 and Feebas Lvl 4 keep getting frustratingly close to an S rank (I get 12 moves left, when I assume S rank is 13?), but it just never seems to be enough...
Hopefully we get another 15 stages tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
@TheXReturns I'll take a look when I get home tonight and let you know. I know I used powerups to S Rank it, and I'm pretty sure I /didn't/ use Feebas.

Got my Mega stone too. I can say Mega Banette is one of the best mega evolution since it have the "mega boost" ability for ghost to help transform faster and the mega effect is the same as Mega Mewtwo Y (clears a Pokemon with the same type, max 10). Also bonus it's one of the few Pokemon I have at max level.
So that means 4 chances if you start today. I caught Pinsir but I spent 2500 coins for a great ball to raise the catch rate to around 40%. With my type of luck, I didn't want to risk it for another day.

@Klimbatize Thanks. Now I know I haven't gotta spend coins on Mega Banette (Got my Mega stone!), I've got a load spare that I can use for S Ranking all the other stages. I missed Pinsir at 19%, then missed it again with a great ball at 38%... I really don't like this once per day idea... That sort of thinking could lead to one-shot runs (where you have to capture it first time...)
@TheXReturns Looks like I used Ampharos, Zapdos, Sceptile, Raikou (all were level 7 at the time). Added +5 moves (one should always do this when attempting S Ranks, as ranks are determined by moves left, not score), Mega Start, and Disruption Delay.
