Well, Mega Charizard X (Dragon form) competition is up. Full dragons teams are encouraged.
Also, Gyarados (water) appears. Chespin is a fifth Pokemon, so you might want to bring it alone (after a bit of leveling up). Quite hard, as I didn't beat it on my first playthrough. Shaymin is highly recommended as it causes disruptions constantly.
Well, beat Gyarados using Ampharos (max), Virizion (level 5), Chespin (level 4) and Shaymin (max). Plus, DD, MS and Attack Plus powerups. Forgot to mention that Gyarados' disruptions are random blocks of ice, plus a ice-column, on the same turn. Maybe Diancie could be used...
Rikaria: Nice job! I can't see myself ever climbing so high on any of the leaderboards but I don't really try either. I've played since the game came out and I have all the event Pokémon but yet I still don't have even one of my Pokémon max leveled.
I think I'll give repeat Darkrai a miss. The item distributions aren't generous enough to justify pursuing Level 100 or even Level 50 for that matter. At least we get a bit of a break here to further pursue the main stages. Back to grinding Meowth I go…
Interesting. The last power up could be quite useful for an Escalation battle, specially for a weekend, when I do most of my plays (and less time sleeping...).
BTW, I just finished level 125 of Darkrai. It had like 27k HP and had to use DD, Attack up and +5Moves and barely beat it (had terrible luck with M Lucario).
Still, after leveling Gallade up (from level 8) I'm gonna go till level 150 at least.
I don't remember Darkrai been so tuff. I managed to get to level 200 without such a powerful team as now (with Genesect and Gallade).
@Rikaria: Lucario and Gallade make a good pair in that regard. In just 3 moves, Lucario evolves and in the meantime a 4-combo Gallade surely takes care of some blocks. The problem is Cresselia and Darkrai that sometimes impaired the making of combos, but both Genesect and Heracross help shaving off HP of Darkrai quite rapidly (I alternate between them to maximize hit points). I'm finishing with 4-5 moves left every time, but now I'm focusing on maxing up Gallade (currently at level 9.2 or something like it).
@Rikaria: If I remember correctly, last time for levels 181-199 I had to use +5Moves on each, and I think that even DD a couple of times.
Level 144 was a pain since only 4 Lucarios appeared and they were scattered all around the field. I finished with 0 moves left. Planning on farming Meowth at least till mid Sunday. before reaching level 150.
EDIT: Now I know what you meant about Steelix. You were talking about the boss stages. Yes, it makes sense, as long as there are Steelix on the field, since you can get 600-750 HP every time Steelix is activated. I was worried that it doesn't make as much damage as Lucario, but with the Attack Powerup it could be a breeze. I'll give it a try on level 175 (passed 150 a few moments ago).
By the way, if you Complexity - 1, does the steel blocks disappear or one of your own Pokemons?
@maceng I'm pretty sure if there's no extra non-support (not your) Pokemon icons, the complexity -1 will just remove the fourth Pokemon in your party. I'm almost certain it can't remove blocks, but that might be wrong.
So I got my first Mega Speedup from Darkrai. I know only one can't help very much, but any recommendations on who I should use it on?
Complexity-1 can also remove enemy Pokemon from play, it's actually it's main use most of the time.
Of course, only if the enemy pokemon spawns naturally in the field. if it's spawned as part of a disruption, then it counts as a disruption instead, complexity-1 won't work for that one.
Edit, I misread your post. you already knew that hah. but yeah, it won't affect disruptions.
