@Megapokepaul: In my case, I use almost all my Pokemon maxed (because I use the same team over and over again). Try using Pokemons with the following traits:
1. Use a fighting Pokemon (one only!!) with at least a 50 starting point level. Use with him sparingly as to not beating the stage quickly, but it is useful as a last ditch-effort.
2. The other three Pokemons should at least be effective, but not very effective. Water and flying Pokemons are very useful for this. All of them, also with a starting level of 40 or 50.
3. Meowth, as you might know, is defeated with 1,160 hit points. Before moving the fourth coin into place, he should be down to 700 or more. If that is not the case, try to settle for a 3- or 4- coins matchup, and use the extra moves to bring it to at least 1,000 or something before the last move.
4.- I use Riolu (its attacks take between 100-130 HP points), Kangaskhan (50-70), Squirtle (50-70) and Pidgey (50-70). All of them produce no disruptions nor stop/freeze/burn Meowth.
Lets see If I can send you a step-by-step demo....
I think the Venusaur competition will be pretty close, but I can see a Fire-Type Pyre/Mega Blaziken working really well with the turn based format. Especially with a complexity -1. That will annihilate Venusaur, with the third poke dependant upon disruptions. In other thoughts, I kinda hope they don't add anything next week... I'm barely keeping up as it is...
Ha, though my initial goal is always 500, I know when to cut my losses and go for 300 (or even 100). But it is sweet when I can manage 500 from all 5 hearts in a sitting. It's happened a few times.

This latest batch of pokemon are hard enough to catch then alone S rank. Nintendo definitely feels far too many people are maxing out there pokemon. I hope eventually they raise the max to 15 or 20 at some point. Don't care if it takes forever to level them up either.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.

The new levels are so hard that I am not focusing on them. I am going to be focusing on S-Ranks of older levels and catching all the Expert level Pokemon. Hopefully new content doesn't come too soon. Is there a list of the most powerful Pokemon in the game? I think I should focus on leveling those up first.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
The new stages are annoying because not only are they difficult to S rank without powerups, but their catch rates are so low AND they all suck anyway. None of them are worth using.

This works pretty well. Just look at what abilities they have and add 20 to their base power for their max base power.
Without being able to organize it based on Attack Power, I don't think I am going to use that list. It would take too much time for me to hunt for powerful Pokemon.
