Actually in Japan none of the LL/XL versions (nothing on the 2DS as that doesn't exist there) come with a charger, neither does the New 3DS. It's grounded in their lifestyle, they use the same charging cable over and over for their new handhelds. It's also a way to cut down the pricing.

Yes, but the thing is, the people who have multiple versions of the 3DS are a minority. More people are either upgrading or buying a 3DS for the first time. I don't know if the point of upgraded systems is different in Japan, but in the US they are definitely designed more to bring new people in rather than entice older players to double dip.

Is it better to pre-order online from GameStop or to do it in-store?

Hey, does anyone know if you can use a 64GB Micro SD card in the New 3DS if you reformat it into FAT32? Also, will any brand of Micro SD card work? I have a Samsung EVO one and I am wanting to know if it will work. If not then I'll get a different one. Thanks in advanced.

@wetdagger It depends on which one you want. The Majora's Mask one is already gone online and you can't preorder it in GameStop's stores. The Majora's Mask one isn't a GameStop exclusive so you might be able to preorder it somewhere else eventually. The Monster Hunter one is online only, or that is what I was told by my GameStop. They are still available. The other two you can preorder in store right now or online.

Thanks for the quick answer! I only want the black one, but I'm wondering if I would get it faster if I ordered it in store rather than wait for it to ship online.

Nintendo has always said 32 is the max but from everything I've read you can format anything larger into fat32. I need a 64gig as well as my 32 is just about filled up. Oh and any brand will work, I just find from experience the SanDisk is the best and fastest.

@Spoony_Tech Thanks for the answer. I hope I can reformat it for the new console because I am currently using a 64GB in my XL right now. I don't think I can downgrade to 32GB without deleting stuff.

So I guess this means we won't get the smaller model in America?

If you're getting the XL only, then I don't think so.

I believe the New 3DS XL has colored letters on at least the four primary buttons (A, B, X, and Y). The buttons themselves are not.

So the Monster Hunter system being online only means i'll be getting one of the regular models. I just have to choose between Red or Black.I'm about to call my local gamestop inquire about the transfer (my 3ds was mailed off to Nintendo today).

For thoese with big SD cards remember that the New 3DS uses Micro SD and is built into the bottom of the system. You can find a decent priced 32GB card on amazon for around $20.

You know, since it's out already in Japan, how is the face recognizing tech for the 3D? Because that seems really interesting to me and would get rid of by FAR my biggest problem with the 3D if done well.

I traded in around $70 worth of old games I don't play anymore towards preordering the Black New 3DS. I'll also be trading in my current 3DS XL sometime before launch, but I need to transfer everything to my OLDER 3DS first. So after I do that I'll have had $170 of it paid off.

I was actually able to get the Monster Hunter XL; the order went through and everything, but I cancelled once I realized I couldn't pick it up at the store and it would be shipped to me. I probably confused the employees a bit and maybe annoyed them cause as far as they're concerned, why wouldn't I want my system shipped straight to me? But I have reasons.

How limited do you guys think the Monster Hunter bundle will be?
