I kinda hope the exclusive games amount to more than just Wii ports.
I hope it's the opposite, because then I won't have to spend 200 to play games with marginally better graphics and a few extra buttons, and then another 200 in two years or so when a proper successor comes out.

Well if Nintendo wants this to live up to its full potential and sell the best it can, a couple Wii ports aren't going to cut it. Its going to need original exclusive games.

And this is why I fear that if they are truly working on the next Metroid they will use the excuse that they needed more power to run it the way they wanted it be played. I think this will leave a lot of people out in the cold and could hurt sales of the game if they do this.

Or, it could get no exclusive games at all. It's the software sales, not the hardware, that bring in the most profit, and resetting a user base of 50 million back to zero won't have a positive effect on that.

Maybe the New 3DS is the true successor to the 3DS like how the Wii U is to the Wii. Just that Nintendo's terrible naming of consoles strikes again.

...Nintendo's chairmen are idiots. In other news, the sky is blue.
I'm wondering if Gamestop will let you do the transfer inside the store. I will probably only get the New 3DS if I can take advantage of the $75 deal and even than I would hope they would let me do the transfer in store.
WAT!

The New 3DS has a vastly improved CPU and more RAM. Did you really think they'd do that for the sole express purpose of getting a port of a niche JRPG from the Wii to be playable on the go?

You will need an internet connection. The last time I did this I had to pay full price then take the systems home to do the transfer. Then brought the receipt back for the refund. It wasn't that big of a deal and the transfer Then took over an hour. Now that I have almost a 32gig full it will take forever to transfer it all over.

No, they did it because they are idiots. Also, the specs aren't 'vastly' improved, otherwise the screen res would've gotten a bump too. The clockspeeds and RAM have supposeldy been doubled, but they're both still laughably low. There's also supposedly more VRAM, whch will allow better textures but not much else. The overall jump in performance isn't nearly enough to call the thing a successor, yet by definition it still is because it has exclusive games.

I was going to try and tether to my phone, but over an hour yikes.
Yo Nintendo why are you so Incompetent. Its called buying a new system and putting in my info and having my games download onto my new system. (and I just hand an argument with others why Nintendo's lack of a true account system is terrible).
