Well, they already have a perfectly good engine for the 3ds, It would be relatively cheap to make, and the system already has millions of MH fans waiting to spend more money.
I'm just ready to see a new main MH game on a home console...last one was Tri...Tsurii already explained the other console games. So, yeah...you'd think MH4/4U would've been perfect on the big screen with those cutscenes and all that. :c

@meleebrawler lol, so true. I would like to at least battle each monster though. Lucent Nargacuga and Gogmazios and most of the other monsters that I've not yet encountered look so cool.
The translation says "no new Switch info"- it doesn't seem to deconfirm the game as a Switch title, but rather is just there to say Nintendo won't talk more about it's capabilities.
2 million seems pretty week for a mainline game on an established console- it's either XG or 5 on the Switch.

@CrazedCavalier Without understanding Japanese, I would just assume that they're not announcing the game for Switch at this time. If no platform is given... I think we will all know what that means.
Really wished they would do something about that....would be helpful since I see some mods editing posts with inappropriate content and then they mention the user there. Doesn't do any good. :/
Anyways, is Amatsu around the same level as Alatreon when it comes to health and attack power? Because I decided to take on Alatreon to test something (I knew I wouldn't win, lol), he took me out in minutes...I'm guessing they fix that Blast problem with him, figures. lol
Can't speak for health, but although Amatsu can hit fairly hard, it is much slower and easier to dodge. It moves like a swimming Leviathan. Trickiest moves are it's vacuum cyclone (try to hop in a ballista to prevent this, otherwise just dive at the right time) and when it's almost defeated, pulls a page from Goldbeard Ceadeus and flies high into the sky to bombard you with water shots. It's weak to dragon first, fire second. I just barely ran out of time using a pure raw Azure Fangblade, will see how it goes with a fully upgraded Shagaru Switch Axe soon.
Oh, and you can mount it, but unless you're using aerial the only options for jump attacks is a pedestal near the edge of the arena that is easily destroyed.
