Anybody wanna grind some low-level non-"Key" quests? I can do them myself, but it'd go faster with more than one person.

That's fine. I just figured other people still need to do these quests, so I thought I'd see if anyone wanted to make them go faster.

I'm also thinking of finally dealing with Kushala, Akantor, and Fatalis in single player soon...so, yeah.

Oh well. Maybe we can organize a time when we have 3-4 players, and then we can all take turns picking those low-level quests we've been putting-off. xD

Doing those tedious gathering and small monsters quests is much better with others around.

That was fun guys. We'll have to do it again. Because like I said, it may not be any faster, but when playing with others, it definitely feels like less of a grind.

Yeah, it was nice to get some of those out of the way. Plus I always like to free hunt whenever I can. Especially when the monsters go down in less then a minute lol.

Agreed. It's also nice to pick up some of the early items that are hard to get (or can't get) in the later quests.

Hm so I decided that maybe I should try to use other weapons every now and then, so I made a random lance (the golden one that the ace lancer uses in the game) and went to hunt a gore Magala in the low rank everwood, and dear lord is it slow. Maybe I'm just too used to the increased speed of the HH.

I defeated it and learned quite a bit about using the lance, like shielding and using the charged attack, but I ended up using 8 mega potions so I guess I was being a bit reckless?

Any tips?

Last time I touched the Lance was back in Tri...so, I can't remember much. When I use the Gunlance though I use the shield quite often, especially when edging towards the target. (Can't remember if you can do that with the Lance, though, I think you can) But yeah depending on the monster you can get close to the point where their attacks may miss and you can continue to poke at them. Magala I'm not that good against him with the Gunlance, tend to get hit a lot regardless.

what do you use the wyvern tears for? I pick them up but so far they don't seem to do anything.

They give you caravan points after the hunt.

You can spend those in some places, like te wyporium.
