Topic: Mario kart 7 Discussion

The same thing is happening to me, its getting really annoying.

Yesterday I was racing on Mario Circuit. I was in the pipe on the last lap, had a red shell and there was someone right in front of me. So I throw the shell, the guy swerves to the side a little, and the shell hits me! My own shell hit me. Then I came in last place. Great programming.

It's taking at least 10 minutes to find other players and if it doesn't it immediately disconnects you and boots you to the main menu. I don't know if it's people clogging up the servers or what but this is ridiculous! I got into one room for about 3 or 4 races and immediately get kicked out again due to a communication error...

For crying out loud Nintendo! You may have patched the game, but now you can't play online. heck I'm even starting to get lag, these guys are picking up item boxes but the item box doesn't disappear, what? Not to mention the fact Red Shells now hover behind the person and don't actually hit them.

Hm, well I'm still able to play online without any difference, with my terrible Internet connection.
It's been dropping out all day for everything else, but I can still play Mario Kart.

Online is still working as before for me, which means almost no lag, no errors, no nothing. Oh, and item boxes aren't disappearing sometimes? Happens to me too, but eh, that's not a big problem, is it?

it worked fine for me last night. i'd chalk it up to congestion, as it was unusually busy (compared to how it'd been a few months back when i played it last, anyway). it'll probably settle down again in a few days.

I just noticed something. The framerate is faster than before. Am I the only one who notices this or am I just seeing things wrong?

Strange. Last night I went online for a while to try out the patch, and everything seemed faster than normal. I was in a room with 7 other players in a few seconds, and played about 6-ish races before quitting, without any problems along the way.

Did you happen to play on Waluigi's Pinball?

I swear, they changed it... In regards to when the pinballs start coming out and rolling because last night, they started to come out on the 3rd lap. And there was only ONE rolling around that I saw on the pinball table but only on the 3rd lap.

Maybe it's been too long, but I remember ALWAYS getting hit by those things. And one was rolling right behind me, and I actually "beat it"....

Same here, i joined a game in progress that one of my friends was already playing and joined and played about 6 races before quitting. No issues with mine whatsoever. I picked Maka Wuhu on purpose to see if peeps were still trying out the cheat, there were none. HAha...so cool that patch!

@L4DYK0M1C Come to think of it, I think I only noticed one pinball when I played on that track tonight.
If they did change it, then I wonder why.
Makes the track a bit easy if there's only one.
It was late at night though, so it could just be my lack of attention.

1st and 2nd lap were completely empty.

Maybe this game now just hates me... join a community with 7 groups and I'm put into a new one, surely there must be one extra space in the other groups... so I wait 5 mins, no one joins, I leave and try again, and then put into a new group.

Try to join my friends and either get friend is offline or communication error. Nintendo, what did you do?!?

I had no problems before the patch but now it's one problem after the other...

@Demonic Yep, seems like the game just hates you, as for most other people it seems to be working as well or even better than before from the sounds of it.
If I was you I'd just give it a shot every day or two and hopefully it might start working for you again soon.
Strange that it doesn't work now for you.
If it wasn't going to work for anyone, it should have been me, considering until just recently I wasn't even able to play online at all with my Internet.

I'll keep persisting with it, hopefully it'll work properly eventually. Still annoying when a game you enjoy and has recently been patched now won't let you play though... ah well... sigh

Try deleting the patch and then downloading it again. I'm going to try that and see if it can resolve my issue. Haven't played today, so I'm just going to go ahead and see for myself.

This makes me want Nintendo to release an update V. 1.2 for this game. I'm noticing more glitches and lag than I have ever before. Of course it could just be the increase in players and the servers getting overloaded but that shouldn't really be a problem.

Couldn't disagree with you more. They put more hard work and passion into their games than any other developer / publisher I know. Its just, they have had troubles adjusting to the demand of today's standards regarding things such as online and game patches.
