@RR529 Please don't say something if you don't know if what you're talking about. It is a sequel. For one, it's the same title with the number 2 at the end, which basically says flat out that it is a sequel.
That's one weird looking sequel if you ask me.
Black Ops: Hello, I'm based around the Cold War.
Black Ops 2: Hello, I'm based around the future with uber tech and stuff.
Yes it's a sequel but how the hell does Black Ops translate into the future warfare? I've never been one for Call of Doody's campaigns, but this one is just crazy. Urgh, I give up on this series...

Yes, because thirteen years in the future is soooo futuristic. Go watch the launch trailers and interviews. Treyarch did their homework and everything found in the game is actually plausible.
Also, can you blame them for marketing it under the name "Black Ops?" You know, the fastest selling game ever made? Money is a nice thing to have at times, just saying.

I'm looking forward to the PS3 version (if only for the sniper that shoots through walls =P) but that's only if I decide to bring my PS3 with me to college. I know I shouldn't but... It'll be a hard decision lol
I know it's probably unlikely, but I'll only consider purchasing a 3DS version if it has online multiplayer. It doesn't even need a campaign; I only play those for the trophies anyways lol If it has a nice, solid multiplayer mode, I'll definitely get it.
Does no one else think it's awesome we'll be able to control the new armed quadrotor with the Wii U controller, seeing its view on the small screen and our own on the TV? I've posted the video three or four times and each time all conversation just dies around it, so I won't bother again, but that, I think is an awesome addition that shows they're actually going to put some effort into the Nintendo version. I've never been a HUGE Call of Duty fan, but if the Wii U version is good, I'm thinking I might get it and maybe even get online.
If they were to make a 3DS version, I can't imagine why they wouldn't include the same feature.
Although they make it look like it's 25 years. A woman President? Yeah, right, that's not happening anytime soon. (Just sarcasm, don't rip my throat out.)

Apparently, a new studio called Leeds was just recently been formed, which is allegedly said to be making every handheld CoD game.
Because it was just created recently, we probably won't get Black Ops II on 3DS unless they port Black Ops: Declassified to the 3DS. Next year, CoD 10 on 3DS and Vita will be much better than Black Ops II on 3DS and Vita.

Eh... I dunno. I like Treyarch's Call of Duty games more than Infinity Wards'. It may not seem like it to a non-CoD player, but Treyarch likes to experiment more than Infinity Ward does. Hence the Zombies mode in their games.

I agree wholeheartily. Treyarch always tries to do as much as they can with CoD as possible. In fact, CoD 3, 5, and 7 were all enjoyable to play (though CoD 4 still beats them all, but Infinity Ward is basically dead now) compared to CoD 6 and 8, which all felt slightly upgraded versions of CoD 4.
However, developers are still working out the kinks of the 3DS and Vita, so I'd expect the handheld versions to either not show up (a shame), or gimped down versions of CoD 9 without online (as CoD 4 on DS). However, if they can surprise me with Wii-to-3DS port of the game with everything intact, then the 3DS version would be awesome.

Call of Duty 4 was the staple for the Modern Warfare series and is still classed by most of the hardcore CoD players as the best so far. Is Modern Warfare 2 a slight upgrade? No, it's completely different and runs on a completely different engine compared to CoD4. Is Modern Warfare 3 a slight upgrade? In my opinion yes, it looks exactly the same except a few new guns and new maps and they've re-balanced the game's perks system from CoD6.
Oh heck. People are getting excited about playing with childish (BLEEP!) and dull campaign modes. WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO?
But what I'm intersted in, is who was the very first FPS kid, and did so many pop up in every FPS game since MW2.

I submitted this answer as a "tip" twice now, and they haven't posted it. Activision answered the question about the 3DS, DS, and Wii version this last week.
I would post it here, but even though it's on topic, for some reason they don't want to talk about it on the main site...so I'm afraid I shouldn't link it for some reason.
