Is anyone else looking forward to this game? I know it hasn't been announced yet for the 3DS, but I really think it will be. They've been releasing the Call of Duty games on the DS each year and I think it's about time for them to move onto the 3DS. It should be interesting to see what they do with it. It'll be more advanced than the DS games, but still not as advanced as the consoles versions, obviously.
The main thing I'm looking forward to is Zombies. I'd like to have some portable zombie killing.
(console version)well if you look at my avatar, you bet ya im pumped for the new zombies, heard 8 people can play and it uses the multiplayer engine instead of it own,but I hope it dont change a whole lot because I love zombies a whole lot,but tank, nikolai, richtofen, takeo made the game funner
(3ds)this could be the first worth while fps on the 3ds,but it better include zombies because what else are you gonna do if you have no internet, also it better have dlc
If this is an actual sequel to the confusing story of Black Ops, then I don't have much interest. I'll have lots more interest if they support superior (in retrospect to other Wii shooters) pointer controls with the Wii remote and get some decent to excellent maps with variety.
I'm not concerned about the campaign. It might be more interesting with the ability to make choices to alter the storyline, but I'm not sure how much of that the 3DS version will get.
I'm hoping it supports the circle pad pro, partly because I own one and would like more games to use it, but also because it would clearly be the best choice for controls with two circle pads and four shoulder buttons.
It better have Zombies. The DS version of Black Ops had zombies. So I think it's a safe bet. They know it has a lot of fans. I'm interested to see what all modes the 3DS version will have. I'm sure it will have the classic survival style from World at War and Black Ops, but we don't even know what the new game modes are for the console versions, either
@RR529 Please don't say something if you don't know if what you're talking about. It is a sequel. For one, it's the same title with the number 2 at the end, which basically says flat out that it is a sequel. And two, the storyline does continue from Black Ops 1. I think the main character is a decedent of a main character from Black Ops 1. Or something like that. I never got into the campaign.
@luminalace The DS versions never interested me, either, but the 3DS version is sure to be much better. I'm just curious to see how much better. Killing zombies in 3D on a handheld sounds very exciting to me.
The only reason I like this being on Wii U is so I can rub it troll's faces that we have a superior version of their below average game on a NINTENDO console.
The only way the Wii U version would be superior is the Wii U GamePad. The game is still going to be developed for the Xbox 360 first, so I seriously doubt the graphics will be better at all.

Believe me, it could, but this will not be too significant. As said, it was for 360 1st, and will be designed w/ that in mind. What might be improved is frame rates, some minor improvements in textures, etc. If Treyarch even bothers w/ the Wii U's extra little edge over the 360, that is. Then it is pretty much the same.

Oh yeah you should really throw it in their face
You can be all like, "Yeah you know that Nintendo console that was just released? It plays Black Ops II just a tad better than your stupid Xbox that was released in 2005. WHAT NOW?"

You'll look so cool : )
The best part is that this still hasn't been confirmed for Wii U. Lol.
Though my searching for confirmation did lead me to this excellent comment:

can you imagine Nintendo players on cod. Everyone trying to jump on each others head, and swinging their knives at bushes looking for rupees.

I know, unless the Wii U Gamepad actually makes a major improvement on controls or Nintendo Network being more flexible improves the online functionality, it's not really worth bragging about. It's like "My 36" HDTV is way better than your 32" one. Eat it." That would actually be kinda sad.
There's a reason that this was in the 3DS forum and not the Wii U forum, but whatever.

If I recall correctly, the Wii version of Black Ops wasn't announced until a month before release. So this is nothing new. Treyarch has made a comment saying that they've supported Nintendo systems in the past when asked about Black Ops 2 on Wii U. Not an official announcement, but for some reason Treyarch/Activision is always quiet when it comes to Call of Duty on Nintendo systems.

If Blops 2 is released on 3DS,then we'll be looking at the best 3DS games bar none.
Obviously till the next COD,of course.

@PrimedMetroid Yeah. They're used to making gimped Wii versions. They'll probably just do the same thing for 3DS. Just keep taking stuff away until it works.
There's not going to be a 3DS version of BlackOps II. Treyarch won't be focusing their time and effort on a handheld when they have the monster project of working on for the 360 and PS3. n-Space already said they aren't working on any FPS games. So, i think this'll be the first year without a handheld CoD. Unless of course you wait till the Vita version comes out, which i for one, will not buy a system, only to have a mobile version of CoD. I'd rather wait till next fall to see if someone picks this up on 3DS.
