How much do you have to spend at Nooklings before they upgrade to T & T Mart? I spend a couple of grand already buying furniture. I'm getting so impatient lol

To upgrade to T&T Mart, the player must have spent 10,000 Bells towards their House Mortgage and 12,000 Bells on items at Nookling Junction. The player must also wait for 10 days after the Town's creation before the option to upgrade is made available. ( http://animalcrossing.wikia.com/wiki/T%26T_Mart )

So not even 2 days pass after Deenas departure and a new plot spawns >.< I was saving that spot for 1 of my dreamis. I look up who this Elise is and its a monkey not just a monkey the worst monkey >.< Well hopefully she be gone within a week. Also had some fun in the island with @DeviousCrossing yesterday.
@ELI-ASH I had elise in my town once.....GET RID OF HER! i hated her so much. she left after a week, but i tend to in-game time travel, so it could take longer for you....
