I decided to get a game from the VC but I can't decide between three very different games: Sword of Hope II, Columns and Radar Mission.

I enjoyed Shadowgate on the NES and this game looks like Shadowgate with a RPG mixed in. Dunno how long it is though. I doubt it's very long.

Columns is cool and I had it on the PSP, but alas, I don't have it anymore (the game I mean, not the PSP) and I like how you can change the jewels to fruits (couldn't do that on consoles)

I actually have Radar Mission on cartridge still. Anyway, I got Steel Diver recently and think Steel Commander is kinda hard for a Battleship variant. Then I remembered about Radar Mission on the Eshop.

Thing is, the latter two games have replay value while the RPG doesn't, even though it looks cool. Columns is the most expensive, which is strange, but I never played a GG game before and I would like to have at least one of those. I will also get G-LOC when it comes out. Radar Mission has been a CN reward previously though. Maybe it will come around again later.

P.S. I hate it when people ask, "should I get game x, y or z?" and then get a bunch of replies from people saying "don't get this, get a, b or c instead." Argh. If I wanted suggestions for other games, I would've said, so please, don't say stuff like, "hell, why get Columns when you can get the much better Tetris?"

Is Resident evil the mercenaries 3D a good RE horror game (close to what RE Revelations was)? Other good horror games to around £8 on eshop?

Mercs 3D isn't a normal game though. It's a full blown version of the RE mini game, Mercenaries, where you kill as many baddies as you can within a time limit. I doubt there's much 'horror' in it, more like an expanded side game.

@Donjwolf: Sword of Hope II is a good classic RPG and worth it for its price. If you do enjoy the classic RPGs on the NES than you will enjoy it alot. I tend to enjoy the old NES style RPGs over the RPGs of today's gen. As I said the price makes it a steal as well.

Columns is a good game too and your right unlike Sword of Hope it has high replay value. For me Columns is as good as Tetris. If you are a fan of puzzle games you cant go wrong with Columns. Especially with its high replay value.

Thanks for the help, Tasuki. I actually just decided (before I read your post) that it'd probably be between the two games you've mentioned. Radar Mission has been a CN reward in the past and there's a good chance it may reappear again later like all the rest. I can get it free that way. Hmmm.

P.S. I already have GB Tetris on my 3DS so even if someone said to get that instead, it wouldn't do any good

@Donjwolf: Yeah I cant give an opinion on Radar Mission cause I never played that one but yeah if it was a CN reward it will probably be a reward again and I would just grab it than if I were you.

@Donjwolf, I also give a recommendation to the Sword of Hope II. It's actually one of my favorite 3DS VC releases, and a great steal for the price (especially since it'll last 15-20 hours).

Haven't played the others, though...

You guys are making this very hard for me. I can't decide between Sword of Hope II and Columns now. Both sound great, although the RPG does have a much cheaper price. I'd like to have at least one GG game too. Keep note that I -am- getting both games eventually, although once I get one, I can't get the other for a while.

@RR529, the RPG takes up 15-20 hours? I thought it'd be much shorter.

@Donjwolf: Yeah if it came down to these two factors of a GG game and not being to get the other game for awhile I would go with Columns than. It will give you the most replay value while you wait to get enough for Sword of Hope II.

I see. Thank you much for your help. I shall get Columns then.

Should I get Dillon's Rolling Western or Dillon's Rolling Western Last Ranger? Also what is so different about the other game?

In my opinion Dillon's rolling western isn't that great of a game.(I only have dillons rolling werstern) DRW wasn't what I thought it would be and try to play it to see if you like it, cause it is a bit expensive (compared to other eshop games) I wouldn't recommend it but you may like it. All I am saying is that it may not be what you think it will be.

Well I have seen gameplay for both but I am wondering if the second game adds that much extra content for only a dollar more than the original.

Oh man, Columns gets crazy fast at level 7/8. Tetris certainly wasn't this fast at the same level. Still fun though. Just wish the difficulty didn't ramp up so fast. I didn't know you could change the jewels to dice and coloured blocks though. I thought it was just the fruits and the suits. They're all pretty cute.

Never mind. I decided to go with Dillon's Rolling western the last ranger. I already enjoy tower defense games and Zelda games so this should be a good buy.

I want to get a megaman game from the eshop, but I don't know which one is the best. I can't decide between Megaman 2-5 (I don't want 1 because I've heard it's REALLY difficult.). I'd greatly appreciate it if you guys told me which one I should get. Thanks for your time.

I highly recommend you to get mega man 2 or mega man 3. If you can only afford 1 of them then get mega man 2.
