Capcom has revealed quite a lot about Monster Hunter Rise, but we're still waiting to find out more details about the sequel to the 3DS title, Monster Hunter Stories.
As usual, it seems an online placeholder listing may have revealed some information about this upcoming release due ahead of schedule. According to Play-Asia, Monster Hunter Stores 2: Wings of Ruin is getting three new amiibo and pre-orders are opening soon.
They are for Heroine, Rathols and Felyne. As pointed out by the source, Airou is Felyne's name in Japanese. While nothing has been officially confirmed just yet, this lines up with the existing amiibo releases for the original game.
Capcom has already revealed a trio set of amiibo for Monster Hunter Rise. There'll even be a gold set up for grabs. Will you be getting Monster Hunter amiibos, if given the chance? Leave a comment below.

we all knew there was going to be some, I can't wait for this game I loved the first one and part 2 is probably a must have.
Damn it feels good to be a Monster Hunter fan right now
I want to see more MonHun Stories 2 gameplay video before purchasing the Amiibos.
Yeah I am not going to trust a bunch of con artists. I am still waiting for a controller I ordered from them 5 years ago. ***** Play Asia.
This seems more my speed than Rise. Never had the chance to play the first game but always wanted to. Cant wait for this to release.
I'm excited for this game. Of course, it's kind of odd that they haven't shown much of the gameplay yet, but I guess they're waiting for Rise to release before they market this. One hope of mine is that the battle system is more refined, since while the rock, paper, scissors style system was alright, I'd appreciate something a bit more substantial.
@Anti-Matter I can't guarantee anything but it's probably like the first one so gameplay videos might help with that. At least I hope so, since it became my favourite monster collecting game and turned based RPG ever.
I can't wait to get more information about the game. It's my most anticipated game of the year.
@VoidofLight Personally I think that the gameplay was simple enough to grasp with enough elements for deeper strategies. It wasn't only rock/paper/ scissors which only counted for the speed/strenght/tech cycle since elemental attributes, gene tendencies and status effects have to be considered and that's just for the monster. The Rider has to consider item recovery usage, traps and attacks depending on the situation. More monster variety as well as weapon and armor types and that's more than enough for me. PvP was quite enjoyable and there were many challenging players.
@roy130390 Ah. It's been a while since I played the original, and I was younger when I first got the game, so I probably didn't get too deep into it's mechanics.
I know for sure those collectors are already prepared for these amiibos.
Sure. I’ll grab these. I would also love to see the first set of MH Stories amiibo be rereleased in North America. I have a feeling they’ll all serve a purpose in Rise.
I'm hoping for a rerelease of the previous Monster Hunter Stories amiibos. Monster Hunter seems to be getting even bigger in popularity than it did in the past, so I don't see why not.
@Tasuki Shipments can get lost, especially over long distances. Have you tried contacting them about it?
I've ordered multiple things from Play-Asia, and it always arrived.
Oh yeah, I clean forgot about this game.
Looks very cute.
@sanderev Yep I did and they basically told me they shipped it and weren't responsible once they sent it out.
To be honest: I'm more hyped for this game than for Monster Hunter Rise.
I just love my RPG's.
Ah the three Amiibos. Great film with Steve Martin, Chevy Chase and Martin Short...
More monster hunter amiibo! If true then we'd have 12 of them in this series, more than even most of Nintendo's own franchises.
Having played the first game on 3DS, this is a no brainer. I love those cell shaded looks. The first area on MHS reminded me so much of Wind Waker
Just be careful of import tax's as anything in the eu over 15 gets heavy import taxes of 15+
Figures these would come about.
Hope to use my MH Amiibos from the 3DS for this game as well.
This is great! Can’t wait to add these to my Monster Hunter shelf collection ^_^.
