The second game today is Breath of Fire II. One of the most well-known SNES RPGs of all time, it's not incredibly stunning or amazing, but if you're a fan of the genre and haven't played it, you're missing out on something pretty good.
The final game today is Super C. The "C" naturally standing for "Contra", this is a NES port of the arcade game by the same name. While it doesn't match up to the brilliance that is Contra III, it is still a worthy entry in the series, so if you're a fan, you can't go wrong here.
So, 2 weeks in a row with 3 great games for NA. Are you running out of money yet? Check out the reviews here:
Ghouls 'n Ghosts - Genesis - 800 Wii Points
Breath of Fire II - SNES - 800 Wii Points
Super C - NES - 500 Wii Points

OMG! BoFII! Super C is friggin brilliant too. I just got ghouls n ghosts on the psp lol its so tough... if anyone's trying to save their money I would say hold off on that one unless you're a real fan but the others are worth a download whether you remember them or not.
Good week for you guys, I can personally reccomend Breath of Fire II to any RPG fan. It's not without its faults (It's crying so badly for a better localization ), but it's a good, enjoyable and pretty touching little adventure that's easily worth the 800 Points.
Ghouls 'n Ghosts is great too, although the SNES version is definitely the better game. Still worth it for fans of the series. Long live Capcom! =)
(Which do the fans consider to be better, Contra 1 or 2?)
Wow, two great weeks in a row for the U.S. VC. I'm not looking forward to the point when I run outah room on my Wii.
Ghouls 'n Ghosts for Europe next week? Says who?
RGVEDA
Its the monthy Sega update next week, so its likely
So, the Chance is big that we get Shining in the Darkness?
That would be great, but it would be also great if we would get great games at the rest of the month. Not only on Sega Days!
USA get always 3 games, even with a N64 game. Europe very often only 2 games.
Japan: 4 games always (normaly)
USA: 3 games always (normaly)
Europe: 2 games very often
At the Moment there are 15 US only games and "only" 8 EU only games.

I must admit I feel lucky to live in Canada when I see EU lists...
Personnally I prefer Contra 1 to the second one.. up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, start!!
i only hope for one thing
that we get Earthbound too when it gets released again on the VC
And that's the only thing i would keep jabbin' about untill it's here ^^
ooooh ooh and yoshi story.
Ghouls n Ghosts is one of the most torturing games... ever.
Once you complete the levels first, it's revealed it's an illusion trap designed by Satan, meaning you have to complete the levels a 2nd time.
And yet another great week for the US. I just don't get it...
don't know if i'll get around to these because of Prime 3
I remember playing this one and it was great, but I already downloaded the SNES version.
Are they different in any way besides graphics probably being a little better on the SNES? (I don't remember the Genesis version being as Hard as the SNES version Ive been playing)
in the Snes version you can't shoot up
in the Genesis version you can't double jump
if i'm correct ^^
Yup thats correct. SNES version gives an extra level of armour also.
Just so people understand, the Genesis game is the 2nd in the series:
(DaiMakaimura aka Ghouls 'N Shosts).
The SNES game is the 3rd in the series
(ChoMakaimura aka Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts).
So therefore Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts is not (I repeat, NOT) "the SNES version" of the Genesis game, as some people seem to think. SGnG was created specifically for the SNES and was never released in arcades. The Genesis GnG is a conversion of the 1988 arcade game. The SNES SGnG is a sequel, see?
BTW the 4th and newest game in the series is:
Ultimate Ghosts N Goblins on PSP.
