Review Puzzle Bobble Plus! (WiiWare)
The third Bubble Bobble series remake to hit WiiWare. Is it any good after the somewhat disappointing Rainbow Islands?
Puzzle Bobble - or Bust-A-Move as it's known in North America - is perhaps the most well-known game in the Bubble Bobble series. Almost everybody's played it in some way or form, with multiple versions and a ton of rip-offs over the...

Three more WiiWare games, including the 100th WiiWare release!
Today sees the release of yet another 3 WiiWare games! They're accompanied by two new DSiWare games and one Virtual Console game. Bit.Trip: Core is the second game in Gaijin Games' Bit.Trip series and officially the 100th WiiWare game. The big difference between it and Bit.Trip: Beat is...

DSiWare takes a bit of a break to give the spotlight to the Wii releases this week.
A large part of today's update isn't very surprising - Three of the games are published by Hudson Soft and were already announced for release earlier this week. The two unannounced releases are quite nice surprises though! On WiiWare, we've gotten Puzzle Bobble...
About The Game
Puzzle Bobble Plus! is a simple but hugely addictive puzzle game in which you must try to burst a multi-colored mass of bubbles with your very own bubble launcher.
Every time you make a group of three or more bubbles of the same color, they pop. There are two game modes available: 1P Puzzle (players tackle the game’s 135 stages in pursuit of a new high score or best time) and Battle (players take on friends or computer-controlled opponents). If that doesn’t satisfy your passion for popping, there are a total of 270 extra stages waiting for you in the two add-on-content packs, available for purchase on the Wii Shop Channel. Puzzle Bobble Plus! is simple to get into and deep enough to keep you coming back for more.

My kind of game! Looking forward to its release.
I believe the tradition on here is to say "FIRST" (lol), even though thats not my kind of thing
we need it !!!!!!!!!!!! quick !
ESRB has rated this game so I'm hoping for a summer release of this game that I look forward in downloading for a reasonable price of 600 Nintendo points.
I just really hope it's better than Bust a Move Bash.
Wow. This is probably the only Puzzle series I actually enjoy. I had the SNES game a long time ago and was wondering when they'd release it on VC. This is a must have for me.
WHAT EU gets it before US! Erm Jealous.
^Each type of Bublbe have a diffrent design inside them.
Whats the music like in this game? I loved the music to the second one.
Completely new, as far as I can tell. But I haven't played every single Puzzle Bobble game, so if someone tells me I'm wrong I apologize in advance
Great graphics, but the soundtrack's rubbish : the music is very neutral (you won't remember it for days as was the case with Puzzle Bobble 2) and Bub and Bob are utterly silent... Plenty to do on your own (all the more so if you buy the extra levels) but you can't play online, and there is no time trial
Oh, I forgot to say that in spite of its flaws, it's better than Bust a Move Bash anyway because you don't need to move your wiimote to change the directions
I am tempted to download this but I think I'll wait for the review before deciding whether to or not. I can already play my favourite version (2) of the game on a PS2 Taito collection.
I am quite liking this to be honest. The way you only get one go to get a high score is quite punishing like the original arcade machine. I'd like to think the special blocks and what the game gives you on higher levels are carefully chosen by the designers but it does all seem a bit hit and miss. Still can't beat the MVS original though. Anyone know where I can find a high score to compare for this game?
The total with the extra downloads comes to only 1,000 Wii points in North America, or 200 points for each of the additional downloadable content.
I was VERY disappointed by this. Spend your points on something else!
